Put that demon on a circuit. Dodge Demon are made for drag racing, straight line speed. On a circuit it will not hang with a exotic.

I love Dodge but let’s be honest, it was made to dominate drag strips. A lot of these other cars are fast at accelerating too but are made for tracks more so than drag racing. They’re all awesome cars though nonetheless!

Super circuit cars can compete with drags cars in drag races, from the dog or from a roll. But a drag car can never compete with a super circuit car in a circuit race. That’s the difference.

@@bigslatt708 HA that's me in the 458 and no it wasn't tuned either. But my car was no match for the demon so i believe he started at my rear bumper. The camera angles are deceiving. Also i didn't use launch control not that it would've mattered. I traded the 458 in for a 720s spider so I'm waiting for my rematch lol

to be perfectly fair, the Demon was purpose built for launching straight lines, while the other cars in this video were purpose built for cutting sharp corners. in effect it's like having a sprinter race a marathon runner. you shouldn't actually expect good competition. that being said it's still extremely impressive what Dodge was able to accomplish with a Detroit / Canadian assembly line compared to the bespoke / handmade craftsmanship that goes into each of those exotics.

The Demon is doing exactly what its built for massive straight line speed and when you get good driver like Demonology it's pretty much done deal. Those supercar are not designed to drag race. There suspension are not optimized to transfer weight to back tire's nor are they geared for 1/4 miles. They dont come with built in line lock, with skinny tires up front and huge slicks in back. The Demon was designed for one purpose to dominate any factory built car on in 1/4 mile. Also dont forget Demonology car is not stock he has done some mods to his car. He beat supercar good, he supposed to beat them. He's put time, money and work to perfect his drag racing skills. I Have nothing but respect for what he has done and watched him progress in sport. But put Demon on any race track like Laguna seca, Limerock, Mid Ohio etc any of those supercar he race with driver of equal skill he doesn't stand chance why? His car wasn't built for that type racing no shame in that, nothing against car or driver. Can Demon drive at sustained speeds well over 200mph with ease with out any over stability or other issue.? Can Demon race up and down side of narrow mountain road filled with twist switchbacks with 90 degree turns with losing tracks, or go from 120 mph downd 40 back up to 120 repeatedly. There a lot of people hating on supercar and there owner's. Unlike Demonology he always shows deep respect for all his opponents whether they be supercar, muscle car, or motorcycle no matter what he always shows alot love and respect for his fellow drivers. That's what makes him such great racer. It not about what your racing as long as your out there racing. L

Hey Ass Licker the Demon was purpose built for Drag Racing, for people that like to do that sort of racing. So they are not useless if you enjoy drag racing. Just like supercar are track focused and made for twisty backroads and being able to sustain high speeds for long periods of time such as Porsche GT2 RS and GT3 RS McLaren 720's 650LT, Huracans and Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, the new Ferrari Pista etc. But not all track focused cars are supercars. You have cars such as Porsche 911 Turbo, BMW M4 and M2 that are track focused as well as Camaro 1LE, Corvette Z06, Viper ACR, Alfa Romeo 4C to many too mention. Then you GT cars that are made to decimate anything on the highway such as the Nissan GTR and Mercedes Benz GTR, C63AMG, BMW M5, Dodge Challenger red eye Hellcat. Then you have Hypercars like Pagani Huayra, Ferrari 512 and MegaCars Bugatti Veyron McLaren P1 Porsche 918 Ferrari LaFerrari koenigsegg One you do know what Megacar is right? That's car that produces more than megawatt of power or 1341hp. People have different taste and incomes. It doesn't matter what you like drag racing, road courses, Time attack, drifting, autocross there all good. Why are so many supercar and hypercar owners doing drag racing 1/4mile , 1/2 mile and 1mile events not just in USA but in Europe, Russia and middle east. Do you even own car? A true car enthusiast doesn't care about what type of car you have or what type of racing you do. Go back to doing what you do best ASS LICKING. oriented you all

This video really just proves how incredible the supercars are - on street tires, less HP, and clocking nearly identical times and in the case of the McLaren - is trapping 4+ MPH faster. It's fine to own a one-trick pony, but my cash wouldn't be on a car where I had to swap tires every time I wanted to do something cool. Not hating - just a car guy that doesn't buy for the strip.

But you have to basically change many things on the Dodge, front wheels, ecu, air cleaners fill it up with high octane fuel, that's quite a lot of work. The other cars I assume are stock. But what about if instead of a drag time, they do a lap time. Then the demon will be dead last. Because the demon is designed just for drag, while the other are designed for a circuit track.
