I have the same problem with my grand son's 2000 Dakota. We have replaced all the sensors, and I am thinking it's the computer also. Mechanics that I have talked to about it says it could also be the instrument cluster. Either way it is starting to be a pain in my a$$.
@@_Joseg__ not completely yet, because the problem has been so sprattic. It will take a spell and act up and then it may be a month before it does it again. But it has been more frequent with the heat here lately. The last time it happened I was able to use a can of keyboard duster to try and figure out if it was the computer or not. What I done was when it shut down I took the keyboard duster turned the can upside down and sprayed the computer down with the CO2 and cooled the computer housings down, to cool it off. To me this kinda confirms that it is the computer, because it worked the truck started after doing this. I think that the injector drivers and the coil drivers are getting burned out on the board. Hope this helps, but your case may be different.
I have a durango 5.9 awd with 4hi and 4lo so if i find the exact same vehicle in a junkyard the computer will work in mine without getting it programmed. More less it be plug n play. Is that correct?
