Obviously he just used his feet for shock value for the show. You could see him cringe when Carl tried the jam, the look of guilt on his face. I'm sure if he wasn't on camera, he would have used his hands or stone of some sort. I would really love to meet some people who truly live off the land in the forest, one day.

nick l Yeah, won't last long without any preservatives in it. Still, it will hold up for a little while as long as it is proper sealed and refrigerated. I think the idea is that he was making a trade for something instead of merely begging for something, it was the principle of the matter.

Your arguments are besides the point; under zero context does eating dirt, animal dropping, possibly parasite infested jam is good for the immune system. You'll either fortify your immune system or die sooner than the norm. GMO's are another matter, but this is not any better. Why even debate this shit?! It's like saying the education system is flawed so I home school my kids with my rudimentary knowledge instead. They might struggle more in the real world but at least they are pristine and uncorrupted.
