Found oil leaking everywhere I was like that figures warranty just ran out so I wasnt going to take it to the garage and I remembered watching you guys with a problem I had once before and done it myself you guys are awesome saved me $$$$ so let's see if I can tackle this one too oh if you hear about man goes mad on journey well I couldn't fix it lol thanks for the help

Thank you guys. I did this already at my 2017 Pacifica. But i changed the whole Housing into an Aluminium one. But surprise surprise after exactly 1 year later it is leaking again. So ordered new o-rings. waiting for them to arrive (ordered (rockauto) in the us and i am in Germany). I hope and think i just need to change the o-rings and have peace for another year or hopefully longer. last time i didn´t drain the coolant. Maybe i will do it this time. The o-ring change byself is a 5 minute job. But to get their is a long way. Wish you all the best. Grüße aus Deutschland

Great video , but I will not waist time removing all them retainer pins from underneath , im real certain I can find the General location and just use a 1" spade bit to drill a hole in the plastic.

I had the same leaks in the same areas. But it was coolant I was losing. I had to add 50/50 almost every other day. So I put some stop leak in and it slowed it down extremely. I just added about 1L of coolant after 3 months of treatment. But recently I’ve noticed my oil level was a bit down. Looks like I have a slow leak somewhere. Just added Barr’s 2-1 stop leak and hopefully it will slow it down completely. Not even sure yet if it’s even an oil leak or just the coolant still leaking. Will have to put something underneath to catch and test it.

Can I take a pressure washer and spray those two areas on the engine? I want to spray at the base of the oil filler neck snd on the other side of the engine under the air intake? I want to clean it all up and underneath m. Do I can monitor where it’s coming from.

Well shit. Thts a lot of work. If I have a coolant leak in the same area that all that oil was gathered, I’m assuming I have to take everything apart just like you did? I thought it was the coolant hise but I feel no crack. I’m assuming it’s the seals

One off topic question. Why do my wipers all of a sudden stop working while I’m driving? I have to pull over on the hyway blinded by the rain, and can’t see where I’m going. Turn the car off and back on and start driving hoping for the best. Then it happens again!! And again and again. Tonight was the worst of all.

This has been a common problem with this model. Hopefully you’ve already fixed this issue, but if not try replacing the wiper relays inside the fuse box.

In US they typically charge 80 -100 per hour and im just guessing but I bet the book says that job would normally take 6 to 8 hours then they always throw in all miscellaneous shop expenses and parts so I bet it would be in the neighborhood of 1500 - 1700.

Idk what he called it, but Amazon has the upgraded Oil* Filter Housing for like $70. It comes with the new gaskets, too. But don't be fooled. He skipped some steps if you want to do the replacement yourself. There's a super helpful 2min video elsewhere to explain the fuel injector connections you have to disconnect to even remove the intake manifold to get to the housing.
