Trapped at chipotle in a weird part of town with my wife. Googled dodge ram 05 crank no start. This video was the first result. Took my metal coffee cup and whacked the snot out of the fuel pump. Heard the fuel pump actuate and begin feeding fuel and the bad girl started right up. You sir saved my night. Invaluable video 👍👍👍
Pops and I were on our lunch break at Chipotle stuck in the parking lot waiting for AAA and saw this gem video and banged on the tank and started right up after an hour of trying thanks brotha!
Thank you. Do you recommend cutting straight through the bed, bed removal, gas tank removal? Im thinking cutting a square out of the bed and going in that way.
Replaced fuel pump, spark plugs, distributor cover, coil, position sensor, but still not going. It cranks and cranks but doesn’t turn over any help anyone? Battery is good, lights come on but had unplugged my battery so codes don’t come up. I was driving then seemed like engine just stopped with power still on
Great tip. I will try that! I get lots of crank but no turnover. And it's Hella cold 🥶 in AZ desert this season. The cold even shut down my generator. Thanks for sharing invaluable information and experience.
@@gasmantv93 The fuel pump relay is integrated in the Tipm (fuse/relay box)… It is soldered on underneath) The 30 amp fuse melted right after I replaced the pump also. I tried everything else, banging on the pump, replacing the fuel pump (almost $400) but it was the Tipm that was bad. It took about 30 minutes to replace. The people who I ordered it from have a video on how to install it (not too difficult).
@@gasmantv93 I replaced the 30 amp fuse also before replacing the tipm and it was also not getting any power to it. I ordered a jumper wire from Amazon and ran it from the cigarette lighter to it but still didn’t work. I payed about $350 for a OEM rebuilt Tipm and sent the old one back. Waiting for my $50 bucks core….I didn’t want to pay the $1K for one at the dealership
Mine sounds just like that or it will start up and immediately die and sometimes just start up and run normally after a few attempts.. hopefully it is the fuel pump
