I will never have time to get my CDL. Plus I enjoy running my medium duty flatbed more than anything.

In most cases it would either get scrapped, or the registered owner would get served papers, and taken to court for the costs.

Hardly anyone ever does.

@@Towtruck_Dustin ok Texas is different then Minnesota. Here we tell them how long they have . I like the way they do it down there . Most of the tows we hauled in were wrecks but most were repo and only a certain used car lot had us hold them the others had us tow them to the dealers auto auction. There were a few I wish I could had kept lol

Not really. It’s pretty common for these older vehicles.

I generally use WD40 when I slide things off. I have many videos where I do this.

@@Towtruck_Dustin Crap I was just checking spelling and hit the wrong button and had to write it all over again. OK I don't want to come across as a environmentalist but don't you think the soap would be better for the environment than the WD40?

Between the antifreeze, oil, and everything else I doubt a little WD40 on the bed and tires is a worry. But I like the idea of bubbles going down the freeway. He often says he washes the truck between tows.

@@jwall6006 Yes true about the other things that leak on the bed and he says he washes it. But if everyone cut back on just one pollutin . I used to fill a hose end sprayer with a couple ounces of dish soap and sprayed it on our lawn. It was done to break up surface tension to let water soak in and not run down the drain. I think it worked but I don't care for the lawn any more.

We do everything. Roadside, police calls, repo, private property. I use whatever equipment is needed for the job. Not sure why you’d require big J’s for police calls when there are so many situations when you’d want to use other rigging or recovery points.

@@Towtruck_Dustin no no, big J's only for wrecks and rollovers. Essentially anything that is damaged prior to my arrival. I use the big J Hooks so infrequently that they get buried in the box under various other things and I always end up having to dig them out because they're not easily accessible. Lately I haven't been leaving anything on the hook. For some reason, most everything I have to do nowadays still runs and drives. I believe this has something to do with cars not coming with spare tires anymore. I used to change tires on the side of the highway, not anymore. Drive the car on drive the car off, Let me ask you this, do you do tows for the big American car club? I hope you know what I'm talkin about. I am legally prohibited from using their name on social media due to my former relationship with said car club

A true professional will secure the load. Just as I did. I don’t care how far I’m going. I’m going to take the extra time to do my job right, and won’t move until it’s safe to do so.
