Been watching your channel for awhile man and I wanted to say. Wicked respect for what you are doing on your channel. You are a very fun personality,to watch. Rather informative as well. And you are brilliant with a camera my man. Best wishes from New Hampshire.
I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of this truck when you first started this project... but you got me hooked and I now look forward to more upgrades and videos. You are doing a great job with the channel buddy
This Flowmaster upgrade is a grand slam. To have a great exhaust that isn't loud all the time but when you apply the gas she ROARS I'd always a plus in my book. Great upgrade and look forward to seeing the next upgrade to the Born-again Ram-Hemi.
autoedit Had to think on the whole name thing and this is my thought. Rosie!!!! Why?? Well the paint job, it's strong because of the hemi and it has been reliable. Rosie was the same way because she has the same colors, strong because she's a robot and the Jetsons always relied on her. So I suggest calling the truck ROSIE.
Exhaust is fantastic, but more than that I`m a dog lover and Pinto made my day. When You throw his freesby in one of your episodes I was crying from hapinnes, I love your dog. More Pinto. Greetings from Poland
Sounds glorious! Sweet hemi music. Reminds me of the 2002 ram I had with the less aggressive flowmaster system. I'm getting another ram next year. This video just made my mind up and sealed the deal.
That’s what I love about flowmaster. I have the original 40 with a single out the right side on my Tahoe and when I’m on it you hear it sounds clean healthy badass
Flowmaster Outlaw is an excellent choice!! My 2014 Ram 1500 has had one it it for over a month & I love it. It's not too loud and has a nice deep growl to it too
Im looking into getting this same exhaust for my 2013 ram. And mine was also used for some aggressive off road playing. My muffler broke right under the rear doors. Thanks bro you gave me the info I needed. I hope I get good horse power
First time subscriber and I too have a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd not a 4x4 like yours! I love the exhaust you installed! I've always been a fan off flow masters! Can't wait for the next video! Thanks! This is Big Boy Frank from Texas! Peace ✌🏼
I generally go for magnaflow, but that sounds great. I'm a big Mopar fan, so I have enjoyed watching the videos on your Jeep build and the work to the Ram. Keep up the great videos. Greetings from Alabama.
Hey brother, thanks for the help on finding the exaust i wanted. Just installed it on my truck for my birthday and it came out great. Trying to build my truck one peace at a time so this is a good start. Keep doing what you're doing man. ,Mike
Sounds great! I have a mbrp exhaust on my crewcab dually cummins. It had a cobbled together straight pipe when i got the truck. At 70 mph you couldnt talk to other passengers b cuz of the drone it had. Then i got the 4 inch mbrp from turbo to the back bumper with a muffler. All stainless. A whole other truck! Wish you great luck with your ram!
Awesome! I have a 2016 ram 2500 with the 5.7 and I have been wondering what exhaust to put on it and I believe this video made my mind up. Thanks for sharing.
I had a 4.7 with the Flowmaster original 40 single 3" in Duel 2.5" Out with 4" tips and i love the sound. i love the sound of that truck its amazing, im going to do somthing simular to my 2011 1500 5.7
Great looking exhaust but I kinda think that the other one sounded better but the improvements in practicality and looks make it worth it. Looking forward to more upgrades on this rig!
That's a legit observation. I really did LOVE the sound of this thing before so the change was mostly because of the fit. The Banks system was more designed for a 2wd truck or tow rig.
Hey, what an awesome upgrade. I really enjoyed this video. I just bought a 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn. I’ll need some of the “new” to wear off before I can begin mods and upgrades. Thanks for this interesting video.
I like the "wear some of the new off" comment! These are such great trucks and you will be thrilled when you give it a deeper voice if you go with this kit. I still like that since the kit is stainless tubing... it looks as good now as it did when I installed it.
Good comparison test. I like the "meaty" sound of the Banks system, but understand the reason for the swap. The Flow Master system is very clean, but it tends to bark like glass packs (or Cherry Bombs). I do like the fact that under normal conditions they are fairly quiet and have a taste of the "Banks sound" to them. I use to run exhausts that dumped to the side and had too many issues. (ahead of, and behind the rear tires) I do use a Flow Master single exhaust on my 90 Jeep 4 liter. Sort of sounds like a Model B Ford. (B was 4 cylinder and A was the V8) Anyway, thanks for the post.
I like watching your channel and the projects your working on both are great i got some similar project cars im working but thank you for the entertainment keep up the good work
I tell myself that I do not need a super 10, but I revisit your videos and I am 👌 this much closer to pulling the trigger for one. 😅 Neighbors, I apologize in advance, but you’ll be getting an ear full of truck every day at 0400. Forgot the replay button, lemme just add it really quick 3:37
I have enjoyed your couple of RAM videos. What was the deflation caps you used? I couldn't make it out on the video. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
Just bought a 2017 Silverado and was wondering about the Flowmasters local shop was pushing banks but I love the deep growl you got going on... if you don't mind are you in California ? Was asking to see if it was Cali legal with all the damn restrictions... keep it up new subscriber love the channel.
JASON MAN I JUST RECENTLY TUNED INTO YOUR CHANNEL AND I BINGED WATCH THE JEEP BUILD. YOU HAVE GREAT PERSONALITY ON CAMERA. I LIKED HOW EVERYTHING IS UPBEAT AND LIGHT. ITS ALMOST FEELS LIKE WE ARE ON THE JOURNEY WITH YOU. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! PS NOW I WANT TO SELL MY 2WD TRUCK AND GET A JEEP. TRYING TO PITCH IT TO MY WIFE...GOT ANY ADVICE?
Great video, plus Pinto looked like he was having a blast too! I do like the flow master better as well, and you'll probably love it more after a long trip since it tones down some. I noticed with my flow master 40 series they seem to sound better as the mufflers aged. I have them on my first truck that I still own. It's a chevy with the 5.3 that I put two cats and mufflers on plus an x pipe coming out dual before the tire on a short bed regular cab. Kinda rattles the cab, but I love it. Can't wait for the next video, I love all your vehicles plus Pinto!
I have a 96 Ram and I dropped the 10 series as it wasn't loud enough lol. I went with spintech pro street 9000's and its a totally different monster now way louder than the flowmaster 10 series nobody around me is running this setup and they all ask whats on the truck.
they are really good mufflers. I've got dual pipes into one muffler and dual turn down tips dumped behind the cab. its obnoxious with how close it is to the cab, of course
Glad to hear that, I really like it so far. It is much louder outside the truck but good inside. I put a link to the system I got in the video description. The American Thunder version of this system is a bit "quieter"
Need some long tubes next, I know from the forms and experience they add 20ish hp/tq to chevys. Those hemi manifolds are interesting compared to GM manifolds. All punch straight into the tube like a turbo manifold. I assume they are restricting the heck out of N/A power and tq but I could be wrong. Headers and custom tune next, but if possible you should do a before and after dyno.
Stock manifold is actually preferable. They tested the difference between a stock 5.7 plastic manifold and a 6.1l metal intake manifold from a big block hemi on engine masters and found that the 5.7 was preferable because the plastic keeps the air at a cooler temperature even though the aesthetics aren't the best
I've always loved the flowmaster sound but I've become less tolerant of droning of any kind during road trips. I'd love to see how this system treats you on a few long runs and get your thoughts on that.
Love the show....You may have answered this question already but I'm wondering what suspension components are allowing for 37 inch meats. The stance of the truck is awesome and from the videos the articulation is pretty good.
I really like it sounds great I like the way it handled on those trails but what I am looking for is a very quiet exchaust with performance and quality for my truck
Any advice on making a 4th gen ram into a better wheeler ? I have a 2012 ram 1500 express 4x4 lifted with 35s but don't know if I should upgrade the gears first or the transfer case. I would normally just put some taller gears in but ram had to weld the ring gears to the carriers so it's hard to swap gears without also swapping the whole diff. Any solutions to my problem ?
This truck has 5.13 gears so it's possible. There are a few good companies that offer suspension for these things so take your pick... I'll do a more in depth look at the suspension on this truck when I learn more about it. I'm pretty sure your transfer case is fine, the 4.6:1 in this truck is too low... it's not a rock crawler and never will be.
