Outside of being a well-rounded scientist, there are several other skills needed to have a prosperous post graduate career that are not typically considered during undergraduate/graduate study. DOE Basic Energy Sciences - Early Career Network (BES ECN) held a webinar featuring four fantastic scientists that have harnessed their skills outside the lab to successfully found companies, create research groups, and facilitate science on a national scale.
