Does 49ers NEW QB Tanner Mordecai Have A CHANCE To Make The Roster? 

Some guys are overwhelmed by the speed of play in the NFL and others can adjust right away. You won't know until he's in camp.

The reason he didn't get looked at (or drafted) is probably because he has 9 3/4 inch hands and he only threw 9 TDs and 4 picks in the 10 games he started at Wisconsin. They do run the ball about 50% of the time, but his numbers weren't great outside of the AAC.

Niners always go into camp with 4 qbs. It will probably be tough to make the team. The team loves Griese. He knows what he is doing.

4.42 speed is craaaazy.. I liked what I saw on film as far as potential but he does need some polishing and needs to work on his touch

If griese finds two qbs in round 7 and udfa that guys up there with bill Walsh imo. People can’t find one in the first round in their lifetimes and if this guy finds two? Crown him

The problem is that Shanahan likes Allen and they have already paid Dobbs. But if they drafted for the future (and it sure looks like that is the case) Mordecai should make the team as #2 or#3 instead of either of the other two.

😂 Both QB-2 n QB-3 are journeyman. Kyle/Niners seem to favor vets over rookies. They don't even play backup to rest starters during season. How many opportunities does Mason get? Mitchell might get more if he wasn't hurt often. This guy will probably be on practice squad. How many UFAs have made the 53? Think 2 UFA O-line n 1 D-line made practice squad. Might have gotten to 53 in playoff due to injuries. These players are undrafted for a reason. Don't have measurebles. Size, speed, something. Almost nobody is undiscovered. Missed evaluated, maybe. Some players might fit Niner's system better. Hope, Niners found some players in Draft n UFAs.

Its obvious that Mordecai should be 3rd string and Allen should be on the practice squad. I expect the Niners to do the opposite, because they are proven boneheads, terrible at drafting and they stupidly picked #45 rated Pearsall instead of the best Center in the draft,19th rated Powers Johnson. They dont understand value or talent.

Mordecai will be number 2 at the end of the preseason. He's actually a 4.5 and has a strong arm to go deep.
