my fan cover has black caps on the screws?? They won't come off, they're like rubber gunk or something. I can't get my fan cover off, help! Update: Fixed - only one side of the console has screws. The other side will have black caps you can't take off.

Can you use compressed air on the heatsink? And if so does it just send it further into the machine causing further problems later on? Mine is overheating on multiplayer games only and I do clean it as you've shown. I'm too scared to take the heatsink out though 😂
Correct, T8 (torx) but the security type that have a tiny indentation or hole, regular torx won't fit and you'll be turning the screwdriver 🪛 round & round for days, or until you realise something's up!
It's needed with ps5 and xsx, these consoles are dust guzzlers. Loads more then previous gens. Not the best design. Maybe because they are bigger then previous consoles.
