😮 in my 40 years working in the UK building trade i can honest say there is a big drinking culture amongst many men especially in a construction environment. For many many years i happily engaged too albeit to my detriment. Ultimately divorced . Followed by heart issues & a stroke 😮 I finally saw the light .Gave up entirely & started cycling too & lost 3 stones on my diet. Feel mentally fitter@ nearly 60 more so than my younger years. Health isbt perfect but im persevering If i can change ( albeit later in life ) then anyone can. 🙏

I'm alcohol free, and have noticed that when people find out I don't drink they can kind of look at me as if there is something wrong with me. If you want to find out who your friends are then tell them, "I've given up drinking, but hey we can always do something else." Then sit there and wait because they suddenly disappear. The older I get the more I realise that people feel threatened by anyone who doesn't conform to societal norms.

You'll find out they were not your friends at all just drinking buddies. There's nothing wrong with us being sober. For me it was the norm to have a drink affixed to my hand at all times and when I got sober people stopped calling unless it was in their favor. You just made a choice to live a life of sobriety and not indulge in poison anymore.

I worked at a very large factory in America back when jobs were very hard to come by and if you did not drink with the other workers or did not go out to the bar after work for drinks you were not going to have a job very long, it is either you drink with the boys or they find a way to fire you. in America if you do not drink you are not part of society for the most part you are on your own, on this side of the pond you are not a normal person if you don't drink and people just don't want you around, they think you are a threat to their freedoms and that makes it very hard to stop drinking because you need a job to survive but over here you go with the flow or you don't get promoted or don't have a job, so a person is almost forced to drink to make a living. crazy stuff man. wishing everyone the best from the USA.

Hi Steve, I’ve often thought exactly the same thing - alcohol is very useful for maintaining a calm electorate (despite the huge cost it must add to policing). So nice to hear someone else say it. Love your channel - thank you. Emma

Do most alcoholics drink mainly in the pub….or at home….or both ? I would have always classed myself as a heavy drinker rather than alcoholic. I didn’t drink in the daytime, only evenings but to excess. I mostly drank heavily at home…..due to the lower cost. Maybe that made me quite sad really, looking back. Thanks for the helpful and thought provoking videos Steven.

It’s clearly a useful way of keeping the population from interfering with political organised crime. Understanding the madness and criminality of the corporate political coup in the West was certainly aided by the lack of focus on subjects like the war with Russia and the Covid debacle. These subjects require persistent effort to understand, all people have time for is to absorb the simple minded media slogans they hear and then repeat, not even realising they have absolutely no understanding of what they are talking about beyond these slogans. They just come home from work, listen to the news which they bizarrely assume is honest and realistic, do what they have to do, and head down the pub. Deep thinking and learning is all but impossible for a drinker also holding down a full time job and family responsibilities. It’s not easy for anyone to do more than take care of their responsibilities, but with daily alcohol life will turn into a repetitive automated treadmill…
