It’s important to also note that BTS aren’t like every other group. They have stocks in Hybe. This goes for their albums, tours, shows and everything else. Just because one member wants to do something doesn’t mean another member does and screaming about said member being a victim is just silly. Not many people in their industry can pick and choose what they want to do and what they don’t want to do. Be glad the boys can.
yesss many need to come to the realization the boys have a lot more power and control over their work than the average idol out there. they MADE hybe quite literally and i'm sure not many would wanna mess w the ogs of the company like that. they're also making enough to hire great legal professionals to advise them regarding contracts etc.
Some of the members sold some of their Hybe stocks in late 2021 - financially very wise decision, the value has been under its starting point since june 2022 *cough cough* Personally, I don't like how corporate their company has become but at the same time it kinda makes it obvious how much Hybe still relys on BTS & Armys to make the very big coins.
@@nehalilisays That’s a completely normal thing to do. Stocks are meant to be sold when they become higher and you gain more money than what you put in. All the members still have stocks and people bring up the fact that some members sold some of theirs to prove a point isn’t doing anything. That’s what they are meant for. Also Hybe is a company at the end of the day. They aren’t going to stay small if they don’t have to. People need to start accepting that.
Okay so, what do we have here. Listen to BTS themselves and trust them - just like you should, nothing new but always good to remind about! Stream while having fun - once again, as you should; streaming ain't your homework or job, helping out a fellow ARMY and Bangtan themselves isn't suppose to be stressful! And the toughest part - Do your part in promoting. We ARMY always, and i mean ALWAYS, has been the Bangtan promo team. From the earliest days we've worked hard to make BTS untouchable and recognizable for the General Public (GP). So I agree with Boracity - we need to get wild again. But this time not out of desperation but as a celebration of art and creativity of BTS ARMY. All in all, I'm just really happy we have each other to rely on, think about stuff in the most healthy way possible and just to talk to each other. I truly love ARMY, my second family.

And, I have noticed when I don't pay attention to negative people/media/sites - when I turn them off and ignore them - I'm personally happier. And being happier makes me accomplish more things. It's really in our own best personal interest to take positive actions on things we want to accomplish and not give that time to them.
Also, don't shame first time "explorers" who only have the stereotypical knowledge of BTS as "some boyband". Treat them with respect even if they're not exactly respectful and teach and guide them instead. That's how you encourage people to continue their journey instead of discounting BTS. I am an illustrator. When i post my work on tiktok i will only use BTS songs from now on. And sometimes i make even pieces about the song themselves. I think you brought up very good points and some thiongs i already do, but i will do more.
I'm a baby army and yes, I stream a lot. I do this while preparing for work, on my way to work, and on my way home. While resting, I watch reruns of BTS activities and official MVs. I have to double time on voting.

i guess the best way to do that is like going under bts video on youtube (even bangtan bomb not only mv) and teach army everything about streaming, encouraging them to use playlist and to follow bts streaming accounts on twitter (by linking them so they won't need to search them) Also when we see comments like this under the videos written by other armys let's hype them and leave them a like so more people will see it as well
And when we do, we need to make sure we include YT's picky requirements for what's a 'view' and what's not. For 2-3 months I hit the replay button, not realizing it wouldn't count that as a 'view.' 🙄

I think the different approaches to their solos is fascinating. I appreciate how they are showcasing not just their talent but the variety of ways to release and promote music: Lollapalooza, international collabs, music shows, small intimate performances and an entire tour. I'm excited to see what's next.
Overall a well done video with a lot of good points, but I want to clear up a common misconception about Jack in the Box. It absolutely DID count for the charts, however, the weverse version of JITB did not count for BILLBOARD. It did count for Hanteo and Gaon charts, and these charts are crucial to end of year award programs. We had a lot of people spreading this false information and it led to confusion and resulted in less effort to buy the weverse version. Word of advice moving forward: focus on YOUR own country's charts. BB placements are nice and everything, but every army should focus on their own country's charts first and then support in buying any kind of physical/digital album even if it doesn't count for BB because they can count for korean charts.
In 2018 the ARMY WAS FOCUSED ON THREE THINGS : STREAMING, HAVING GOALS AND TALKING ABOUT THE MEMBERS. THATS WHY I AM AN ARMY TODAY. please go under every music video of bts and just drop random music information and info about the bts members for new fans to see. Twitter armys have so much fun and are focused on streaming. We do streaming parties all the time. I still go on twt and just block and mute problematic people/words so that has helped but it’s easy to know when something is happening because I’ll see army up in arms and idk why. lol As far as yt, other than the algorithm, I don’t know why it seems so hard to get views. Like there are a lot of people not trying. Streaming? I do it all day long and have it playing while I’m at work. It honestly is what gets me through my stressful days. @@tinav6576 ahhh a fellow lill ⁷!!! Actually the reason we don't get many streams these days is cus of the algorithm. Butter was the last song we were able to break the record with. Yet to come doesn't even reach it. Compare daechwita first day streams to MORE streams in 24 hours. Daechwita came out when the algorithm was still in our favor and trending still mattered on youtube. And the song reached the locals and became a hit. Same thing would have happened for all the members but youtube suddenly changed the game. These days trending don't matter. And it's sooo difficult to be visible outside of the army audience on youtube.
Toxic, fake fans who claim to be Armys ruin the fanbase, there are too many solos, akgaes, shippers that all give the ARMY fandom a bad name with the vitriol they spew, their lack of respect and hatred towards the members including their favourites who they claim to love and this continues to get worse, now BTS are all doing their own activities, it has increased more. If you call yourself an ARMY, that means you love, support and appreciate all seven of the members that make up BTS. You don't compare, pit them against each other or drag them down. Each and every member of BTS is precious and vital to the group & they all deserve to have real fans who are respectful and will support and celebrate them as a group and their individual works
honestly, yes!!! i was seeing some videos the other day and they all said army is the most toxic fandom or whatever (even compared to western artists), and the thing is, i cant even disagree with said videos, because whether we want it or not, all that people from the outside looking in see is the crazy, toxic stans dragging people for no good reason. thats what people see when they think of us, they dont see the charity work, they dont realise army is mostly made up of adults and young adults who dont have the time or energy to be disrepectfull and violent to people on social media like these toxic fans (who i believe are mostly teenagers or just very immature people in general) do, which tarnishes more and more our name.
Joon once said that if even one line of their songs made you love yourself, it's proof of their existence.. or something along those lines. I still go by that philosophy and i dont think people who hate even 1 member of bts when they love all the others love themselves. That message doesn't resonate as they would love others in the fandom and love the other members. Some dont even try to get to know them or become so misinformed by other solos as baby armys, that its work finally opening their eyes. Solos are not Armys. They are antis. You can love one member without hating the others. Its when you forget the team- BTS members dont even do this and this is why they can be such a good team- whether BTS as a team or Army as a team, that you want everything good to fall on the member you favor that you start to become an anti. Those toxic stans are not fans.

At the end of the day, being a fan of something just means enjoying something. And us ARMYs can organize and strategize to focus our efforts better, but at the core, this is still the natural enjoyment of the things we love and the spreading of what we like to people around us. A community formed around a shared love for something is fundamentally beautiful, and I have endless faith in ARMYs
As a 2014 ARMY, thank you. As a fandom, ARMY has always stood out because we are the strongest pillar behind BTS’s success. The only type of pillar that music industries around the world cannot buy with money. BTS has always known and acknowledged the support of their ARMY. It was a heart breaking moment when RM on his live stream said: “you have changed” after reading the comment section. I hope that when they come back, we can fill their live streams with smart and witty jokes they enjoyed, oceans of purple hearts 💜 and happiness on reuniting with our favourite 7 artists and entertainers.

We need this video to go viral in the Army community. This is so motivating. I unintentionally stream BTS music every single day, I just love their music so it doesn't feel like a necessity. And not just new stuff but old stuff, just yesterday I was listening to Daechwita, House of Cards, Vibe and Run BTS I listen to everyday since its now an unhealthy obsession, and recently Equal Sign and Hangsang by J-hope bc it caught my attention after watching jhope in the box!! I really should figure out how to use Spotify, I have it, but have no idea how it works. I'll find a video for it. We need to get crazy again, we need to organize ourselves and prioritize BTS once again. Lets do it! Let's get this video everywhere! Army just need to know that streaming is not a job, please understand this, streaming literally means listening to bts music and enjoy it, it's not a job or doing something like a robot, you are a bts fan, so when you listen to their music it means you are streaming, and i can say that all bts songs are beautiful and make you feel better, so when you listen to their music you are enjoying your favorite artist music, so don't think that streaming is a job, but we have to vote for them, and focus on their projects not spending all the time fighting, also solo stans, shipers, writers of bad fanfictions, people who love them just for their visual, all of those just create chaos and hurt members, and we need to push them away, we need to focus on our boys, that's all.

JRJ-OT7’s channel has loads of 10-music video playlists that take about 30-40mins. Perfect while doing chores or for a lunch break. (There are longer playlists on that channel, too)

The useless ones are always loud, that's what I learned. I'm fairly new too 1yr 4months old ARMY and Trust me the core of the fandom is busy silently supporting BTS. Don't engage with toxics as it will lead you to the rabbit hole of them. People who love and support BTS always out-number the irrelevant haters. So, let the toxics shout in the void and go crazy by themselves, they crave for attention and reactions. Definately we need serious cleanse, one of the reason i stay away from Twitter is the toxicity, other day i was scrolling through insta and it was taekook fan account they posted sejion kitchen cast appearing on one of the show ,bighit posted this an hour before show is gonna air, they started calling bighit a bigshit , everybody were criticising bighit on comment section and one of the comment said they cannot wait taekook to get out of that bigshit company , when our idols talk about staying together for long time these toxic solo's(it's about every members toxic solo fan) want to break the group.

The thing about most solos is that even if they don't start hating the other members they end up disliking the member of the group. They want the company to focus more on the particular member and seem frustrated when the member puts the group first. Right now, solos are thriving because the members are doing their solo work but have started hating on the other members due to differences in the promo for their albums. Of course, casual listeners are fine but they will always put BTS first and solos won't like that.

I love how you brought up the difference between each member's solo rollout for their albums and promotions because, honestly, it is tiring seeing the people that are complaining about one member's rollout not being enough compared to another member and them trying to say that the company is sabotaging them or something! That's just outrageous!!! Also, I definitely need to do better with streaming their music videos but I do try to stream their music pretty much every day - I think something that'll help me is being able to see the number of streams coming from Apple Music (since I use that regularly), but I don't know how to find that information myself

I think its normal for ppl get confuse with what budget planning is from one project to another but the least i would be greatly appreciate if one really appreciate what kind of music n production involve for each n every different solo project is. This video is perfect, not only did you explain and sum up everything that I and most likely other armies have been feeling & thinking in an easy understandable way, but also the video felt optimistic.
Since the solo era started for each members It's hard to find true ot7 army accounts, even the ones who have huge followers threw shades and unfair supported to certain members and it made the solo supporters/unit supporters grow uncontrollably which lead to create more fandom dramas everyday. It's so exhausted. I'm still in process how to avoid/neglect every negative vibes so I can enjoy fully my fan experiences, and trust every bts members decision for their solo career.
I totally understand how you feel. Reaction channels too have become a hotbed for the most toxic BTS “fans” which is a shame bc I used to enjoy those. As everyone said, the best is just to unfollow and report channels/ comments like those. Yeah most Big ARMY twitter accounts are ignoring each projects of certain BTS member( you guys can guess who is he ) and that's make me so sad . According to them that certain member has so many solo stan ( seeing his followers) so they trying their best to ignore his work . And surprisingly all those accounts has little 7 in their account name . Like why they can't support all 7 of them equally?? We love BTS as 7 so we should support them equally. I always stream BTS music and even all their solo musics but seeing their real face behind fake OT7 makes me so sad .

@@blossom6693 1.) it still counted for multiple different charts despite not having a CD 2.) this is how hoseok wanted his album to be, he decided his album roll out and he talked about it on his jitb live. if hoseok wanted physical CDs, he would’ve gotten them too. hybe has no reason to stop him from releasing CDs when he’s one of the companys biggest money makers and he and the rest of the members are in incredibly high demand. 3.) people were boycotting the albun due to misinformation (saying it was an NFT and what not), which only ended up hurting him and his sales, cutting him out of any chances for upcoming nominations later on. if people actually listened to what the members are saying, we wouldn’t have had any of these issues. we could’ve all just been proud of him and focused on supporting his album as a collective instead of turning the focus on hybe. if you want to criticize hybe because of real problems like dynamic pricing, then go ahead and do that, but don’t go against the boys’ word and make up problems when there are none.

Been quietly diving into armydom/bts after warching one of your videos. I don’t want to be one of those fans that armys run off the fandom for alleged faults, but man do I feel bad for engaging. I just like bangtan and what they do. I listen to their songs when I’m in the mood for them, buy albums when I like the songs, and watch/purchase their side contents if I’m interested in them. Sometimes, also drop in their weverse livestreams for a bit. I don’t know if I’m getting old, but I just don’t have the energy to get angry at articles, clout goblins, internal politics, speculations, or perceived slights from the company. Sure, I want to talk about them with someone. I used to have an army twitter, but I don’t want the expectations to dedicate all of my free time for a fandom and the constant “you’re not a real army” whenever I say that I don’t vibe with certain songs or vote in evey single event or join streaming parties. Does that make me an anti? Genuine question. I feel like I don’t grasp the meanjng of being a fan anymore. This army thing is proving to be a net negative in my life. Maybe I should just stay in my bubble…

Just because some people are fueled by drama does not mean you have to attend the performance. I haven't been on Twitter for a few weeks. So I am a bit out of touch with all happenings in the fandom. I keep myself away from toxic people on there. I rather focus on BTS than drama.
This is what we need. We need to get back on track. We need to focus on the boys and what’s going on now. Watch what the boys are doing. Trust their words. Trust their intentions. Trust their actions. When they say they wanna rest, we let them rest. When they say they are gonna release music their way, we support accordingly. We are fans, we are consumers. We do not demand anything from. We do not twist their words and actions. We support their music, we stream, we vote. We encourage others to do the same. We are the biggest fandom in the world. We can’t go the next two years the way we are right now. If you left the fandom, stay out. We don’t need or want your opinions about our fandom or the boys music etc. you left for a reason. The only way we are gonna comeback stronger when the boys comeback is if we work hard these next two years to get back on track and on the same page. We can do this Army. I know we can. Oh thank God for doing this! Being attacked by prude, gatekeeping, overly protective in the wrong way, solo stans is so unnecessary and toxic. To be honest, though there are only few of them, they still reflect what this fandom is sadly. It turns away someone who wants to be an ARMY.

Meanwhile I congratulate you, 👏👏we needed this video, because lately the so-called Army's focus so much only on their bias or the stans asking every day for incredible things and many times not feasible. Why not wait and help each member in part when he has his Solo Project and support him because the band has 7 members and each of them has contributed over the years to the success and now we have to support them to fulfill their dream which is an album, whether it is a tour, whether it's a TV show, etc... The Bts fandom is big and unfortunately we also have some bad apples, so to speak, but we have to make the Bts proud to have FANS like us. ARMY FOREVER 💜💜
Another thing I have to mention, since we aren’t Korean speakers and know little about their lyrics without subtitles. There are so many nice Armys put subtitles and upload on their channels, which really helps us to know the song better, but don’t forget to go to official account and watch these music videos first. And so do the reactions/analysis video, it’s nice to dig deeper but only official streams count.
to be honest, I'm a baby Army, I became Army one year ago. Of course, I stream their song every day. I have my own BTS tracklist in spotify filled with all of BTS songs from their albums. All of their albums. Indigo is always become my lullaby every night. And I also has a youtube tracklist filled with some of BTS song to accompany me at work. I also put one of BTS Song every time I post something in my Insta story. I don't know what else I can do for them, since they always help me in my daily life...💜💜💜💜💜💜
To me supporting things you don't like makes you a fake fan, the guys would not like to know that you are supporting something simply because they are involved, they would want you to be a 'honest' fan not a 'fake' one supporting everything they do, they would want genuine support and respect for their actions and activities. we've been getting a huge wave, no, a tsunami of armys ever since Dynamite era. the fandom needs a deep cleansing. every comeback, we get to see the true intentions of some people claimed to be army. the way they dictate the boys' decisions, the way they twist and turn their words. our priorities such as views, streams and voting need to be prioritized again. there's too many complacent people but they'll brag and celebrate as if they worked hard later. mantis, solos, cupcakes, they're picking a fight instead of reporting and blocking. we need the 2019 energy back!

Suchwita apparently was an unexpected reason we got a cleanse. still, it's not enough.

It's a fanbase. Not a job. If I were one of the boys, I'd want to be setting records organically, not because my fans were basically self assigning unpaid labor. This should be something that is fun at the end of the day. But the phrase "the fanbase needs a cleansing" to me, sounds like the herd mentality is trying to fish out people who are "unworthy" and chase them out and that should never be a goal of a fandom. Trolls will get bored. Crypto dudes will realize they're not turning a profit and get bored too. Those are problems across every community. They pass. Just don't engage and move on.

Welcome to the family! 💜 The bird app is a nasty place, and getting nastier all the time. For good ARMY interactions, it helps if you look for the folk with the 'tiny 7' in or around their screen names. Seems to be a much better atmosphere among them.
This video needs to blow up, more Armys need to see this. To be honest, I wasn't around during the rise of BTS, even though I knew about them, I only found them in 2020 when I needed them the most, so I'm not gonna act like I know much, but how I view it, is that anything the boys put out, or do, is right. I will not question it, nor ask why the didn't do this or that, I'll take it, accept it, love it, and be happy with it. Even when it comes to arguments, I ask myself, how would the boys reply? and if someone is asking for information, and I see another Army who answered, i'll simply like their comment. When it comes to streaming, I haven't listened to anything not BTS since 2021, and I cannot do my job without their music blasting 24 hours. As soon as I start my shift, my day always has to start with a full listen of Indigo, then i transition to whatever list RU-vid generates, but it has to be full BTS, and official videos from Hybe or Bangtan channel. After 8 hours of BTS non stop, I go home to play on my PC, and spotify is always working in the background. When something new comes out, I stream it, but I focus mostly on listening to their songs, not streaming them. As a 28 straight male, it always seems strange too people when I shout out loud that I love BTS, especially since i'm 6'5", they be like how does a guy like you love BTS? and people don't bad mouth them infront of me, because for some strange reason they think i'll be violent, but that's sad since I have no one to talk with about BTS, so what I did is, whenever I'm hanging out with my closest friends, and we listening to music, I would put on BTS. Sure it did not make them Army, but they started respecting them, appreciating their creativity, and developped favorite BTS songs they listen to in their free time. I know none of what i'm doing is much, but I always try to do what I can, to give back to the boys, for all the good they gave to me
Short answer from a long time ARMY and multistan of more than just idol music so I have a lot of experience dealing with other fans...YES there needs to be a cleanse but no one can control other people. I would tell people to find army spaces and people you like and stay away from anything that makes you upset. Being a fan should be fun and be about loving your artist and their art. Armys are too caught up with numbers IMO. Bangtan are no longer the underdogs they were where Armys had to go hard for them to have opportunities. So we should understand that the rooms our MEN want to be in they can go into. The biggest problem is at this point our men are being harmed by Armys doing too much. People are scared of Armys because like they said in UGH people are being mad about stuff that doesn't matter instead of using that energy to be mad about injustices. Army was a force for good for so long we always wanted the best for the world. Now people are just so worried about views and awards. I do think we should watch videos and listen to the music but we should do it because we love the music. I listen to the songs I love multiple times in a day. I watch the vids I love because I love them. Plus since this vid said to read in between the lines lets notice how many celebs get scared to even mention BTS good or bad because of ARMYs. So many have been saying to BTS that they are scared to approach them and BTS have come out and said that they don't have many friends and struggle in their real lives because people are scared of ARMY. Look what just happened with Namjoon, his friend, and Insta posts. But none of this matters because people are going to do what they want and think is right. I just hope that BTS will not get sick of living like this and go dark. I've seen so many celebs do just that. Bangtan have made enough money they need to be happy and really do what they love in order to stay and I feel like not only do they have to deal with negativity from antis but a lot of times from people claiming to be ARMY. If you won't listen to interviews hear it in the music. So many lyrics talk about being sick of the things that come with being stuck in a diamond encrusted prison. They can't even go to a place of worship in peace. As bad as that monk was if Armys did not consume that content then the writers wouldn't write about their personal business. I won't even get into how a lot of ARMYs treat these MEN like they have no voice, can't or won't speak up, and are just mindless puppets who need ARMY's protection at all times because this is already long enough but that's something else this fandom needs to think about.

The question was does the fandom need a cleanse. As far as numbers I don't think people should stop but that they should be having fun doing it. This whole thing should be fun. If you like to listen to the same song 800 times in one day then do that. But that's not how I like to enjoy my artists. Every single one of the people you mentioned have been talked about negatively within the fandom at some point or another even if its the old using them for clout nonsense. I really hope I wasn;t painting all armys the same as that wasn't my intent. I was speaking on the general public perception of army and the army that feed into it. As far as the "feedback". Its great but not really a genuine representation of anything other than maybe engagement. I am literally a data analyst and its much better for determining success of content to have 10 mil views from 2 mil ppl watching 5 times than 100k people watching 100 times. Plus "armys" are quick to say if you are army or not if you don't vote or stream. Because I don't make a huge effort to do any of that outside of my normal listening. Their music is mixed into my playlists with everyone else I listen to but to most this doesn't make me early even though before covid I was literally traveling to see them multiple times a year in concert and have all the physical albums, merch, and all paid content. I explained this in an army group and was still told I am not army because I don't stream so as I said we can't change others. I will keep loving Bangtan for as long as I can tolerate armys and if it gets to a point where its too much I'll leave the fandom just like I did with Big Bang.
@@itsjustjess1 The point is not everyone 'stans' an artist the same way, streaming is just listening tbh many see it that way, no one is forcing anyone to neglect their real life responsibilities to stream and buy (if someone did there goes a new one to the blocklist). About the artists being called "cloutchasers", most celebs get called these name on a day to day basis, even bts isn't an exception, are they true, absolutely no. If one just go oh how toxic, then ig everything would end up seeming like that. Before coming to army twt, i heard abt how toxic it was there, everyone was just like toxic toxic. Only for me to find out that every single fandom has that toxic side, thats just how any social media platform is, before coming to a conclusion look at the good side too ( it is a vast majority)🤷♀️. A large fandom comes with all that, a cleanse is needed as to avoid them causing a mess. Awards and all that are there to appreciate an artist for their art, armys are just trying to give bts all that as it is their own way of showing love. The guys were able to achieve so many impressive things throughout their career and while it's, of course, mostly because of their hard work and its quality, you can't deny ARMY had a huge part in it, too. When I entered the fandom I quickly realized that it's not like any other one: fans don't just enjoy and consume the content, but they work alongside BTS to help them become greater and greater. They take an active part in their success. Why? 'Cause they deserve it, and no one else is gonna do it for them. If you know their history and the way the music industry works, then you know our guys are in a huge disadvantage. It's always been like that and it's most likely never gonna change. You can say what you want but numbers do matter. In an episode of Suchwita, when asked about Indigo, Joon said it too. Of course what matters the most is what one takes from the art - to influence or inspire someone, or even just making them think or feel something is probably the biggest achievement for an artist. But what's the easiest way to tell if something is 'successful'? Charts. Numbers. Trophies. And ARMYs don't stream, buy and vote just to flex with records on social media. We do those things because the guys deserve it - it's the easiest way we can show them love and support. It's like a prize for their hard work. Yeah, sure, they have lots of trophies in their bag, but does that mean they don't deserve any other ones? Just because they have already been awarded for Map of the Soul: 7 doesn't mean they shouldn't be rewarded for Proof. Just because they have already reached number 1 on Billboard with Butter doesn't mean they shouldn't reach it again with My Universe. I hope you see what I mean. And it's not even a chore to do these things on daily basis. I don't understand where people get the idea that streaming means sitting alone in a dark room with ten computers 24/7/365, it literally takes only a few seconds to put on a playlist while you go about your day. There's hundreds of songs to choose from, and it's music that you love, so why not jam to it while you're cleaning your room or cooking? Same with voting - most of them take only a few minutes. You can easily do it before you go to bed, when you're in a bus, heck even while sitting on a toilet, and there's always other ARMYs willing to help you if you don't know how. I really, truly wish we could bring back the energy the fandom used to have. The boys need our support now more than ever. Be part of the result.
Love all your points here! Re. Streaming, we really, really need to improve on RU-vid. We used to average 20M+ streams daily, but that’s now only 17M daily. MV streams help BTS’s algorithm and count for charts in all countries, Korean music shows and Korean awards shows. Our RU-vid numbers for solo releases have been disappointing.
I think we really need a serious cleanse, lots of army lost in a way to bring the core and ultimate soul of being an ARMY. Which is OT7, love all the members, support them unconditionally, dont do a hardcore shipper, give them space to grow individually nor as a group. Please its hurts to see people hurting bangtan, hurting army. I became army in 2015, and we bonding like sisters despite all the nationality differences, languages, ethnic, race, religion but our core aiming became army for bangtan. Nowadays, it is too much
My biggest concern with the fandom is that conversations aren’t allowed anymore. I saw someone comment recently that any time they see an ARMY just wanting to talk… they know they will get attacked and not having the conversation makes it impossible to make new ARMY. I make thought pieces about bts on tik tok and a lot of non army and non kpop people have told me it completely opened their eyes to something they didn’t realize they were ignoring. It doesn’t change the fact that my account has been mass reported and I’ve been dragged all over the internet. I never engage in it but I know that most thoughtful army are totally silent on socials because of this and that lack of retrospect makes the perception of the fandom very surface level. We spend a lot of time walking on eggshells so we don’t get canceled by our own fandom and I’m sure that this account has even been called brave for bringing up anything about BTS as artists.

Excellent video!! I stream BTS music and videos pretty much every day for the last 4 and a half years. I love them so much and can't imagine not supporting them. They are the only songs I don't get tired of.

And he LOVES watching all the guys in live performances. No other artists get any of his attention except Miley's Flowers MV 😅 He loves that too.
Great video, as usual! 💜 It’s all well and good for people to constantly say stuff like “we need a fandom cleanse”. But the thing is, how is that even achievable. It’s just throwing an empty phrase around. Like you’re acknowledging the issue but not actually able to carry out said ‘fandom cleanse’ because… well… you can’t… you can’t just make people leave. That’s why this video is so important because the only way we can get anywhere close to a ‘fandom cleanse’ is by letting the trash take itself out. Going back to being focused is key. If we aren’t fuelling the drama, then there’s no reason for the idiots to keep persisting with their behaviour and they will get bored and go leave and start their tricks elsewhere. The problem is that armys protectiveness has us wanting to snap back and try protect the members from every little thing the world throws at them. But we really need to start picking our battles fr. Sometimes issues and stupid stuff only blow up because WE gave it the attention. I’d say a good 85%-90% of these issues we fight about would be either left with one or two likes or stuck in the solo/manti/shipper echo chamberes where they don’t actually affect anything at all if we just left it alone and ignored it. But the issue is that some armys, especially big accs rn, just cannot seem to help themselves. They just have to quote the tweet or make an indirect. It’s like they can’t stop themselves. Then it makes something stupid that would have been irrelevant into a massive deal. Idk… I think the key word really is ‘focus’. We neeeddddd to just stop letting everything get us so worked up
i need EVERYONE every single army on any social to see this cause this explain perfectly what are our troubles rn as a fandom and how we must fix them. The key is FOCUS ON BTS, as solos, as a groups, it doesn't matter, we need to support them anyway. Lots of army are undestimating the importance of streaming and buying party, voting and promoting and that's a big deal. Just because our fandom is HUGE and we always got numbers, it doesn't mean that it will be always like this. If we don't stream, bts don't get the streams required to enter the charts and if we don't enter the charts we don't get the awards and if we don't get the awards the media/general public/antis will be ready to throw shit over bts name. We can't let this happen and WE WON'T. As it was said in the video, you can just play a random bts or solo album on spotify and let it go while you're doing your homework (even in your hearphones if you can't listen to the music) Same for youtube and any other streaming platform. You can choose between hundreds of bts streaming playlist made by army and just playing it once a day while you're doing other things. I know everyone in the fandom enjoy to see the goals reached and the awards won but we need to work hard for them cause they won't come for free or by themselves, we need to push hard the streams, to buy, to donate founds, to make their songs viral and promote our boys. We CAN do it, we did it before We just need that energy back but that means that every person here under this video should share the links on social and encourage their army friends to see it and reflect and doing the same with other armys. Me gustan este tipo de mensajes, a veces twitter se llena de negatividad, diciendo lo mal que estamos como fandom, si bien en parte eso es cierto, lo que más necesitamos es un mensaje positivo, es frustrante ver que a muchos no les gusta hacer stream, y cuando se hacen stream parties siempre somos los mismos de siempre participando, Bad Bunny se logró posicionar por mucho tiempo en el top10 de billboard 200 por puro stream, no por compras masivas, hay que cumplir esa promesa de apoyarlos siempre, aún cuando no estén activos como grupo. Ellos no se han ido, siguen aquí y así será por muchos años más, confío en su palabra, así que descanso como fandom no habrá. Vamos ARMY, extraño esos tiempos en los que las personas ajenas al fandom no se querían enfrentar a nosotros, no por miedo, si no porque sabían que siempre ibamos a salir ganando.
A big irritation is ARMY asking 'where is' one of the members as they have not been active on social media for 5 seconds. PLEASE can we just trust our guys? First we know they work so hard in the background for us and solo projects are so much harder with more responsibility. And second, they have worked their asses off for 10 years, if they want to stop and live their life for a while let them. Also the fandom forgets these are grown men, they are professional artists, they are shareholders who now make business decisions. They don't need us telling them or Hybe off like kids. I mean I saw people telling JK not to drink in his last live. Where else would u tell a 25 year old man he can't have a beer? I just wanna add from what she said I like the way the boys promote their solo albums. Jhope want to go worldwide by promoting his album through Lolla aiming at general public. Rm want to approach people through his music by collaborating various artists and I have no idea of some of them and It helped me to know more about them too. His promos aren't that big but once you go through the album and the way he promoted through interviews made us to listen the songs more by connecting what he said in those interviews. Same goes for Jimin and Suga also now. All I wanna say is they are individual solo artists and they are nt group now. They have freedom to do whatever they want. We as a fandom should respect that encourage them. That doesn't mean we neglect their past work or something. Just stream their work as much as possible whether it's solo or group content. Also I ve seen some comments in reactors comment section some Army's are pressurising them for certain reactions and showing hate if they didn't do what Army's want. Don't be like that please. This isn't what BTS thought us. We are here to receive people whole heartedly. Also I've seen some Army's arent providing the info for reactor to react. Provide them with BTS discography, lyrics and message, cheoreo, Run BTS compilations and tiktoks so that they know what is BTS about. Most of reactors doesn't know much about the BTS because we aren't providing them with the above info. Lastly sorry if it's a long ranting but I thought this comment section is appropriate to say all these so people will know after reading this. Thank you and borahae

There are so many factors that made the fandom so chaotic and we REALLY need to set an order. It's actually funny because we're called ARMY and we're known for our DISCIPLINE as fandom, but recently we're not as disciplined as we used to be and we get distracted easily. BUT I do believe that this is just a "faze" and that eventually we'll go back to normal and then improve.
I found that I was becoming hungry for new BTS content that I was relying too much on reaction channels, just to watch new people discover BTS. That got so stale, but it opened my eyes to realize how much those channels were taking away from actual BTS content. Now I try to limit myself to only 1 or 2 reaction channels, so I have more time to watch and re watch music videos and live performances, all on official channels of course. I stream the music always, like Namjoon said, in my car, at work, doing chores, any time. Listening to whole albums is extremely important too, BTS don't have just one or 2 great songs, their whole discography is spectacular, these songs should not be forgotten.
I'm new to all this, only a few months now, and I find the gatekeeping in this fandom to be unbelievable. And I've been involved in fandoms for 45+ years. But I'm getting to the point where I'm not participating in anything anywhere in BTS land because SOMEone is going to tell me to do something or to not do something, or that I'm wrong about how I feel or what I think. I know the hardcore fandom has been around for going on 10 years, and I know how hardcore so much of the fandom is; I was studing ARMY before I got into the music. But to be told I *have* to be this or that way if I want to be a "real" fan, or to be told that I *can't* be doing this or that because that means I don't really "love" the group or their music or whatever...it's ridiculous. I've fallen in love with seven gentlemen (MEN beind the operative word here) who make wonderful music with great messages about loving oneself and each other, only to be told I'm doing everything wrong in the way I support them by the people who say they understand their messages. I'm exhausted with it all.
Insta,yt and weverse armys need to be educated about streaming and voting. Currently only twt armys are constantly aware of things happening in this fandom,new voting, and streaming. We need some pioneers who can actually spread voting and streaming goals to every other armys
we need to get rid of those solo stans that throw hate towards members. i literally fought with a solo stan who had audacity to say tae is most mistreated member he didn't get promotion for his cooking show . like wth how much promotion did other member get or how much did Rm get for his album???

I love the thought of elevating your own personal streaming goals. If you’re not streaming regularly, make that your goal. If you’re only streaming on one platform, make it your goal to stream on the others too. Etc. etc. If you break your streak, start again. No problem!
Wow this video was so informative. I love the ideas proposed on this, I'll try to watch at least one mv every day (i'm more used to stream their songs on spotify). So, first priority: stay united and focuse on Bangtan, understood.
Agree. I am a new ARMY and my time goes by simply streaming, feeling i am doing too little. But as much as I love them, i am also very busy with my own life and my health. My focus is on this 7 magnificent boys... Happily for me, i don't have time for drama and I can't be in every single social media platform. BTS level of engagement is only for BTS. They disserve all my strength because i came late. I love them. Thank you for addressing this issues

Exactly!!! Sometimes I find difficult to engage with other armys on twtter for all those fanwars when I just want to scream how pretty BTS are, we should focus our attention on them and not in annoying haters. Pd. Using playlist or albums as timers is an awesome idea, i do it everyday and it really helps me to have a routine and cheer me up :')

This video was so needed!!. I think we are losing our focus, sometimes, and we are the ones to blame for giving attention to antis and absurd rumours. A lot of times some anti do a hate comment about BTS or a false acussation that don't have a lot of attention and we are unconsciously spreading those comments with our mentions, and we never learn, because is happening all the time. Report and that's it. Also, solos and their victim card is a big problem.
this is a much needed conversation omg esp as a twt army, i have done all the cleansing i need on a personal basis to prevent seeing drama/negativity on my tl but "dragging" every hater out there has become such a norm in the fandom culture atp, i still see unnecessary drama on the tl😩
I noticed this since 2020. A huge surge in antis and haters and just generally a negative vibe in the fandom. Earlier ARMY didn't feel like a fandom but a family. Whenever one would spot and ARMY it would be an instant connection but the same cannot be said for today. I really hope all the toxicity can be cleansed. I'm so tired of all these ARMYs dictating what BTS should do. Just support them in what they are doing goddamnit,. Love you boracity for speaking out about this. We really needed this rn.
