A really funny Christmas song I love is Christmas at Ground Zero by Weird Al. It takes the warm feeling of Phil Spector's sound and combines it with the horror of nuclear war. In the music video, they even combine 50s clips of Reagan into the music video. It's a high recommendation from me. Edit: It's even better since the only reason that Weird Al made the song is to spite the record company for forcing him to do a Christmas song.

All the old Christmas songs just feel some warm and cozy. I love it. I don't really care for many modern ones. But the Beach Boys Christmas album is easily one of the best of all time and something I will listen to outside of Christmas time.

There are plenty of great Christmas songs, I just hate the covers people do of them. Everything just sounds squeaky clean and I don't like them.

(Songs that are self aware that they’re songs) if love to see you cover the subject. In “frizzle fry” by Primus claypool says “and if you don’t believe in me, then play this tune over again” and so does Pink Floyd in “Time” when they say “the time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say. TBH I don't really agree with the retail argument. Yeah sure, you hear the same few songs over and over again for 4-5 weeks, but that's also the case for the rest of the year. I spent the past half a year listening that insufferable Harry Styles song and other similar garbage, hearing Mariah Carey or Andy Williams in refreshing in that light. Also there's a ton of christmas songs that bop, even on the radio. Mud, Slade and John Lennons classics are my favorites of the popular christmas tracks.
