I really need help.. I have so many carpet beetles I literally cannot sleep in my own bed. I have tried everything and I was hoping this would work. Basically I started noticing them at the window near my bed and they were also on my bed. I realised there was larva etc under my bed, and let me tell you under my bed was filled with stuff that I really needed to clean out. So I cleaned out EVERYTHING under my bed, I took everything off of my bed I washed it all TWICE. I vacuumed under my bed 3 times THOROUGHLY. I cleaned my baseboards etc, I literally LATHERED that carpet under my bed in raid and I also deep cleaned my window and sprayed my window sill with raid. After this sitting for a few days I vacuumed TWO MORE TIMES. Then I used a vinegar and peppermint oil mixture to deter them. I let that sit for a while as well as on my window sill. I vacuumed TWO TIMES AGAIN. Then this time I sprayed a water and peppermint oil mixture and left it. Once everything on my bed was clean I sprayed some lavender oil mixture. A couple days pass by. THEY ARE BACK AGAIN. And AT THE SAME RATE. Theres literally so many that I just cannot even count, nor do I know the source.

I use DE as part of a multi-layered system. Specifically, I needed something fine enough to get behind the baseboards and stay there. It seems to work in the yard as well. Obviously, don't breathe too much.

I have to wonder why this is the only video saying don't use it?

Green acres PC do you think the chem free safers product insecticide flea killer is it safe to put it in your bed for 48 hours?.It clntains :Diatomaceous earth.If its safe,can someone sleep downstairs for 2 days ,and go back to vacuum it, with hepa filter.?Then put a sheet and sleep on it?Thank you.

And I have to say when it comes to safety would you say that your poison that you spray all over the house is healthy?

Hey there, stumbled upon your channel. We live in an apartment, have a roach problem where they’re coming from the walls and small holes in ceilings. Everything we find a nest and eradicate it they just start appearing a few days later. Was gonna use DE to try and control it, we’ve been using store-brand “bug barrier” spray but they never work. We’ve tried traps as well. Short of bombing our apartment and sending them elsewhere in the building, what can we do?

What do you suggest for springtails??? We've used tempo, sevin granuals, ltz44 (I believe that's the name) it's a fogger from TSC, 40+ of vinegar, I spray the floors morning n night then mop with dry mop, I spray all over tub, sink, bed, window sills, baseboards, the outside gets sprayed every evening with white vinegar. I'm at a lost, I'm depressed, it's ruining my relationship,. The house we live in is owned by farm bf works at it's 100 yrs old this is the first time we've had them. We've even gone through with insecticide every inch of the basement

I used D.E .. after seeing your channel .i vacuumed it up easily with a bagless vacum.. i masked up ..cleaned up.. steamed my apartment top top to bottom... Vacummed house top to bottom and juss applied crossfire... No more steaming! No more D.E .. gonna use what i got for D.E in my moms garden... On my way to pest free livin .. day2 ..one treatment down .. gonna do couple more treatments as a precaution.. ty so much.. u have helped save my sanity and my autistic sons life and routine ❤

Wow. Wish I had found your channel before others. I now have de all over my bedroom. Almost maybe broke vacuum cleaner. I now have cross fire and unfortunately a smith sprayer that I will try after trying to cleanup this de with water and steam. I finally found a few bed bugs behind my headboard conveniently in a spot where I missed applying de. I get a few bites only every other night or so. I hope I have a small problem but I’ll do my best to treat the house like you have described in other videos. Very much appreciate your advice and help you are offering the world.

Is it ok to use n Attics or just where u are seeing them the most like behind and under a Deep Freezer or around trash can areas 😊

Hi there! I'm glad I saw this before I put down my DE, but I'm a little confused. In a another video I saw you recommend boric acid, isn't that just another dust? Why Is it safe but DE isn't?

Yeah I’ve been doing pest control for a while now, I get this a lot. This stuff, or any other dust for any standpoint isn’t safe in your lungs. That’s just a fact. If it’s abrasive to chitin (bug exoskeleton) it’s abrasive to your lungs. This guy has excellent content and I highly recommend it for professionals and consumers alike.

How do you treat for fleas

If bed bugs can get inside the walls and hide in the isolation how do u get ride of them inside the walls with insulation?

I have an earwigs in my house. I’ve had pest control spray in, outside, and under the house. I’ve sprayed in the yard with an insecticide. I’ve used DE. These things won’t die. I’m catching about 20 on sticky pads every day. I don’t know what else to do. I dusted up and mopped up all the DE. Help!

What about using DE in crevices or behind walls in addition to Avion and gentrol?

Great video and very sensible. Using DE outdoors in a potted plant can be effective. I agree, spreading it in doors sounds like a nightmare. Even if you were to vacuum it up shortly after spreading it, I bet most people do not have a proper Hepa vacuum to clean it up. Also, the amount I have hear you should speak in an area is so small that you cannot see the dust. I doubt that is what people are using. DE is also irritating to human skin. I might try it in a small area where there's some ants in the room and then vacuum it with a heap vacuum. I would still be hesitant to believe its not somehow flying around in the air. As for the last comment about FOOD GRADE...... that's not a marketing gimmick, that just means its safe for consumption. You DO NOT WANT TO EAT DIATOMACEOUS EARTH UNLESS IT SAYS FOOD GRADE. DE is used for industrial purposes and not safe to consume unless it says FOOD GRADE. Great video though

Gonna try sticky traps inside and have been using a dehumidifier but what is their life cycle and how can I break this life cycle? I was considering DE inside and now will not. I was gonna use it around the perimeter of my home outside. I also wanted to use it in my vege garden, and on my grass. My dogs poop in the yard and we pick it up, I see these small gnat like insects flying close to the grass and when we walk in the yard the are like swarms of them.

So it more harmful to breathe this stuff in or roach waste ?

I have 170 scorpions in multiple buckets right now. I separated some out and covered them with Food Grade D.E. i did it three days ago. The scorpions are still just as alive as when I caught them. So, it's crap. Funny thing, I have another group covered in Boric Acid and they are still going strong too.

Ive got clothes moths. Ive put this all over my house and now im scared. I dont know how to get rid of them traps are not working and moth balls are poisonous. I dont know what to do. My mental state is a mess from this.

If some one put this inside obviously they go outside and you see they keep saying it effect in hours so when you come home vacuum and stay indoors. If didn’t effected in hours then you can repeatedly do this. Even I called the pest control for this and they couldn’t do it. Lab grade DE is the active abrasive ingredient in toothpaste. Its microscopic bits of what is basically glass. But I sure ain't BREATHING that. Trust me, you can't tell people NOT to spill lighter fluid on themselves and then spark a ZIPPO flint wheel anymore😂 . With any dusting treatment Its probably a good idea to wear PPE folks!
