I’ll play 4 for a few days, same with 3. New vegas if I start playing won’t be put down until I’ve finished it all over again. It’s just one of those games
@@AVVGaming1 the issue or the main issue with playing NV is the game doesn't just work out of the box, it takes a crap ton of work to get it working right, so you should have had her play FO4 because for someone just getting into a game they don't want to go through all the bullshit to play a game, i for one can't play the old game because there is no controller support like there is in FO4 and it's the same with the elder scrolls games as well. i started off as a console gamer and when i moved to PC it was because i learned that most new games had full controller support so it was a no brainer also these newer games just work as todd howard says, they really do just work out of the box, now even with this said they are still very flawed like i hate that i have to find mods to stabilize FO4 to make it run better and even with all the mods to sort of fix the issues it's still not anywhere near as good as it should be. i was hoping the update would fix it, but no it's just a beta testing update, it will eventually work i'm sure, but they will have to fix the update several times before that's possible especially knowing Bethesda's track record. but i also like the esthetics of FO4 more than NV or even FO3, these games are just so damn dated and ugly and the animations are even more jank it's just very uncanny valley and there is simply to much work into getting these older games to work the way you want to play them.
If they realesed New Vegas just with HD graphics & without the crashes, everyone would hop on this game faster than a thirsty alcoholic hops on a can of beer
Haha yes! Especially new fans because they want to play it but it’s tough to get on it now. It’s the best fallout game in my opinion, but it’s just aged now and needs a second wind. I’d say fresh engine, new graphics and gameplay, but same exact world and quests. Maybe give a bit of new content that was cut from the original due to time constraints.
Nah NV doesn't deserve a remaster. It deserves a remake with all the cut content plus more or straight up a sequel, whether in the Mojave or somewhere else.
Yes I’ve used the wrong word and I definitely want a remake not a remaster as that wouldn’t do much. Sorry about that. Also, I do agree that if not a remake a sequel. I wish they’d let obsidian do their thing again with a fallout title they deserve another go after the first one.
NV is wonderful, but I dislike how people hold it up as the pinnacle of fallout when it's just as (charmingly) janky and as full of plot holes and loose ends as every other fallout game is. There is an obvious bias. And honestly NV fans are the most annoying most of the time. Not a criticism of any of you fine gents.
@@skechers28227 agreed. nv is held way too high by the community for the fact it had “options”.. i personally find fo4 the most enjoyable which is a “crime” in this community but i like the choices along with the graphics and massive mod support. also dont gotta worry about the game not booting up on pc
Yes a recreation is what I should have said as that was what I meant. A fresh game with the exact same formula copied over to a new engine. It really deserves it, it’s just a special game.
Correction: It needs a REMAKE. Remakes > Remasters. Some game mechanics can be updated. A remaster just implies it’ll look better. But it has more issues than just that. Lol
Yes the title should have been remake after reflection as that’s what I was talking about. A remaster wouldn’t have the desired impact and not really worth it.
>A remaster just implies it’ll look better. not even that. remasters usually just recompile the game exes with the newest dll libraries to make them work properly on new systems. the idea behind the remaster is to bring the game back to 'master' quality, so right at release where it should work on all contemporary systems, not to change it.
New Vegas factions systems sounds more interesting than Fallout 4 and the quests on new vegas seems more lively then starfield so I might try new vegas out.
It’s definitely worth it, but time has taken a toll on the visuals. If you do give it a go, make sure to push through until you get to the outskirts of the strip (free side) and it’s at that point that the game is in full swing :)
@@SoulKollector that’s so nice to hear thank you very much! Let me know me know if there’s any games or topics you would want to see and I’ll make it so!
They grow on you right! I was playing Morrowind the other day and those graphics are way too different compared to today’s standards and I can understand why someone would be unable to play it now. I’ve always thought FNV looks beautiful though. Still one of my top 10 games of all time!
I never understood why companies wouldn’t go back and remake some of their games as engines advance. Especially when title series can span different eras like the fallout starting in the 90’s isometric era then going to the 3d era in the span of a decade or so.
It's so.weird some games and sagas get so many remakes and remasters (RE, TLOU), yet beloved games that are barely workable in modern systems just don't get patched up
Some guys get a remake and they actually don’t really need it. I think New Vegas is surely one of the top 5 games that deserve it. It would be a guaranteed slam dunk financially as well.
Most companies just don't think it's worthwhile. It's not as simple as just porting every asset to a new engine. For most games a remake is straight up making a new game which diverts resources from other projects. So they just opt to make something entirely new instead.
I for sure agree that they shouldn’t try to add unnecessary Fallout 4 elements like settlements & etc, but I would also love to see the game restored to the scope that they had when originally developing
Yes it would be so nice to see the final product. They had only 18 months so had to cut out a lot of the content they had originally planned for release. I think just adding this back in, with a remake, would be enough of a reason for everyone to buy the game. There are spots in the game where settlement building would be possible, but don't want to over complicate it for them lol
@@AVVGaming1 building the ideal Fallout experience requires us all to Frankenstein specific things we all like from each release for some fabled ultimate game. Like “they should adopt the random encounters of Fallout 3, the writers from NV, the engine & development cycle of Fallout 4…” etc lol
Same as me. 3 was my first and I loved it so much. New vegas was a level up. 4 was good for what is offered but lacked in the writing part. The rest of the game was fine but I love the RPG and great writing the most in a game.
Thank you so much! I’m really enjoying the journey and conversating with people who are passionate about the same games as well! Both games do still hold up though and I’m playing them right now!
I think that we need to recognize that the moderators are the ones that have curated the best new Vegas experience. I don’t believe in slavishly holding ourselves to what was put there in a limited time window by obsidian. We deserve things like a Malay button a grenade button and a sprint button. These are all things that should be in the remaster and if they are not it will suffer for it because these are the most download mods
@@smokedbeefandcheese4144 yes it has to be modern. Anything taken out has a bigger impact nowadays. Back in 2010, we didn’t need a melee button because not every game had it. Now they do so it has to be there otherwise it’s not a thing just “not there”, it’s a thing “missing”. 100% agree with you.
Agree with pretty much everything you said here. On top of getting to Starfield level graphics and Fallout 4 gunplay, I'd love to see something similar to Fallout 4's weapons/armor/scrapping system. Messing with weapons and getting them to do ridiculous things was something I loved in Fallout 4. Also, updating Power Armor to something similar to Fallout 4, where it is more like a machine you are stepping into instead of a regular piece of apparel. This is also really nitpicky, but giving some of the unnamed NPCs some new dialogue so I don't hear the same exact line from 90 different people.
The mojave makes you wish for a nuclear winter! No I completely agree with you. I think fallout 4 got a lot right, almost everything except for the writing and RPG elements. They could have done that better. I’m proposing a cross over where they bring over the best from both. I said no to settlement building, but there is actually locations in the game where that could happen, there’s a lot of safe houses
@@linkmaxwell yes and there’s a few farms that are purposely empty with land, a few faction bases, just loads of space for it. There’s a little house in Jacob’s town. These are all for the player to set up shop. Would be nice to be able to edit them. I’m all for this idea!
The problem You describe in the Introduction is the same for me and my Girlfriend. Its difficult getting into it together after playing so much Fallout myself already. YES we really need that Remaster! I even could toss a song or 2 in (Caesar's Legion Song ^^)
Haha still haven’t managed to get my wife to play it, but it is installed and on her to do list. It’s my favourite fallout and one of the greatest games ever. Still a masterpiece and really deserves that remaster! You write songs?
Ruby!!! Thank you so much! I’ve had a good little run recently and really enjoying the adventure so far!! I’m still coming to you when it’s time for a little nightmare video! Lovely to see you!
@@AVVGaming1 Mhm, no problem! I'm happy that your channel is doing so well! I'll be looking forward to see you play Little Nightmares if you ever planning on posting a video of it ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )
First off congrats for making it over 1k subs. WOOT WOOT! I haven't seen the video yet but I'm just going to say yes it does. Not because I think it needs a graphic update or something, but I'm tired of needing to download 28 stability mods and do a little dance to please the gods every time I boot up the game, just so I can play for an hour without it crashing. They'll never update the old version of the game, so I can only hope they'll make a remaster that maybe they'll update so I can have a stably experience. Now I'll watch the video haha.
Haha thanks! You’ve been here through the whole journey as well! That’s what the concept of the video is saying though. Top class game but no longer up to par. I mention all about the crashes and glitches. But there’s a masterpiece below it and it really needs to be remade. It’s not just an average game it’s one of the best. You had me dying laughing and doing the dance to the gods lol. Only way to guarantee it’ll run lol
@@AVVGaming1 Haha yeah I just got to the part where you talk about why it needs a remaster, I thought it was pretty funny hearing you talk about the crashes and all after I made that comment. I love this game but it really feels like I need to do that dance to have this game work, and you're right about what you said in the video nobody should have to do that just to get a game to work. let's hope they at least think about it.
@@TheMysterieRPGguy it’s just a massive shame because the game is so good but newer gamers are just not going to see that. They aren’t well versed in the art of the glitch god dancing routines and so it won’t work lol I love the game though and still playing it even today. I heard they’re doing a mod for fallout 4 for it but I’m not sure if that’s ever gonna come out
@@AVVGaming1 A mod for fallout 4, you mean like how they are remaking oblivion in skyrim? That could be really cool but if they only just started then yes that is going to take a really long time, I think the skyblivion team has been working on that mod for 6 or 7 years now. As for people getting into older games give it some time, people grow their whole life and refine their taste as they go, I play games now-a-days I never would have played when I was in my 20s. I'm sure your wife will see the value in New Vegas as well, in time.
It needs a remake from the ground up. It crashes nonstop on console and PC even with stability mods and plug-ins. Obsidian made the game in a year and it shows.
Yes absolutely! I think I have used the wrong term in remaster and I should have said remake as a remaster would not be enough. It needs a fresh engine!
I would LOVE a remaster… I tried New Vegas today and could not make it past the graphics… I just couldn’t justify spending dozens of hours on a game I couldn’t stand to play. Please please please Bethesda remaster this and I will even buy a freaking Xbox to play it.
It’s okay you’re not alone! It’s a fantastic game but it’s tough to adjust your eyes to it. Let’s hope it happens and you get a chance to experience this great game :)
I'm honestly not sure if New Vegas could be remade in the new engine, it's not really designed to handle the really complex quests or dialogue, and there's no skill system
Yes they might need to use a whole new engine completely. I just feel like the game deserves to be remade for new fans to the series so they can have the chance to experience. It’s one of those very special games! At least to me lol
That’s why it needs a remake! For players like yourself it’s asking too much to sit through those graphics and as a result you won’t have a chance to experience its magic!
The game does sort of have a sprint mode - just put your gun away and off you go. They factored it in, not forgot it. (Power armour also slows you down, but unlike in Fallout 4, I don't use it that much.) Also, I'm replaying NV at the minute (Steam edition) and, 20+ hours in and it has so far only crashed on me once - just after launching the ghoul's rockets - but Autosave is your friend when it comes to anything attached to Bethesda, so only lost a couple of minutes of redoing that cutscene.
I hope you haven’t jinxed it because that’s a good run you’re having! I always put my gun away to pick up speed and I stopped wearing power armour just because it took too long to walk….then deathclaws found me lol
Another reason why nv deserves a remaster or better yet, a full on remake, is because you can't play fallout new vegas on pc without mods to fix its constant crashing or get an old Xbox 360 where the game is far more stable. Despite fnv being one of the best rpgs out there, it's crazy how inaccessible it is in terms of outdated gameplay and stability performance. If it ever gets a remaster or remake I hope fallout 3 gets one as well too.
I know is runs well on Xbox series s as I’ve played it myself. But it is not available for any PlayStation consoles past the ps3 which is ridiculous. It definitely needs to be brought to people who can enjoy it
as someone who did not played it when it first came out because i was still drinking milk every night and as someone who played it for the first time last month it aint outdated
@@AVVGaming1 haven't played all of them; plan to, comparing NV to 4. I would enjoy 4 alot more if four was New Vegas But there is a greate quote from the director of the deus ex, warran spector that i feel applies to NV "if people compare our game to half life we're dead"
Wether it deserves a remaster and wether it needs it are two different questions you treated as the same. I think it definitely deserves much more than that. But wether it needs it or not is much more debatable. I would love it if it NV got a remake with cut content added, new graphics and mechanics. But I think the game as is is acceptable. I don't think people who can't see past the outdated graphics and mechanics will appreciate the depth of the role-playing or the interesting and coherent world. And that's fine, not all gamers want the same thing, but I fear that in searching for a more casual FPS crowd, a NV remaster could lose what made the original so special.
That’s a very fair point! I wanted to suggest remaking the game in todays graphics so that new gamers could have a chance to experience it but you might be rihht in what you’re saying that those who can’t look past the graphics may not be the type to enjoy a deep rpg game either. And you’re also rihht in that if it is remade it could lose that magic. Sometimes great games are better just left alone so the magic remains, rather than remade and we find that magic gone.
Glad I subbed to this channel, you have good commentary. On a side note, it's awesome to see how successful the Fallout games are in the UK. I always figured since the games take place in America most of the avid fans would probably be American too, but the games seem to have universal appeal no matter where you're from. That's why I am especially excited to play Fallout London, because I imagine it will give me the same experience you brits have when playing Fallout, with getting to see the famous American Landmarks in the post apocalypse.
That’s really nice of you to say about the commentary and glad you’re enjoying the videos. You’re absolute right about us loving the fallout games though but according to my analytics it’s also big in Canada, Australia and most of Europe! I think no matter where someone is from, a good game is a good game and worth appreciating. And I’m very excited for fallout London. They will add some quirky over the top British stuff but that’s more to match the comedy from the other fallouts with their over the top patriotism. It’s definitely going to be a good play, and I can’t wait to see how they handle it. Thanks for the comment!
Yes 3 would be easier to make as it has less content and Would be less expensive and time consuming and if it worked then it would show then it’s worth doing new vegas, great point!
New Vegas needs a remaster and a massive stability fix. Once that happens, it'll be unstoppable. It would also be cool if they actually got the chance to finish the cut content, like apparently a massive section of the Caesar's Legion questline.
Yes that would be awesome! I’d love to see what stuff they had to cut. It’s amazing what they Managed to get in but I’d love to see if they had loads of stuff that was meant to be in and see how it shaped the game. It’s strange they didn’t add in back in with dlcs really.
I wonder why they haven’t been given a second go at it? They exceeded the first attempt to a second effort is surely deserved? Yes I would take that over a remake, but I fear they won’t be given permission.
I remastered that doesn't have the damn infinite loading screen glitch would be nice. <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="1260">21:00</a> now what you're asking for is a remake of NV not a remastered. Personally I wouldn't mind a new Vegas remake with current fallout's gun customization, a run button, and character creator(just no multi-piece armor set like from 4/76). And the ff7 "remakes" probably aren't the best example of the type of remake you want for fallout new Vegas.
Yes I think I need to change the title as I am asking for a remake and not a remaster. I think it needs it and a remaster won’t do much unless it was just to make it run cleaner. FF7 probably not the best remake example, maybe RE4 would have been better?
@@AVVGaming1 I think 100% seriously that Todd Howard is the one with the new Vegas hate in him. Probably pissed that the fallouts he was involved in are less popular then a game from 2010
Lovely vid, nice humor, however, im in my 3rd playtrough and i noticed a lot of the skills and abilities are underutilized, even with mods that restore beta content, i would love for a proper remaster to tackle some of this, specially charisma and other skill uses, there's too much gated behind speech/barter and there's a single guns check in the gane lol
Thank you very much for the nice feedback. I’m learning in each video that I make. But you’re absolutely right. It was a great man, but everything has room for improvement and this is no different. If they were going to improve upon it, that sort of feedback is vital. It’s close to perfection, and if they were to do the remake, I reckon they should just make a few tweaks to make it perfect. It’s close. 1 gun check is ridiculous though.
More than a remaster, possibly adding all cut content that obsidian couldn’t add due to the time limit. Oh yeah have Bethesda give them some time so they can polish it.
Yes if they started to change it. The trick is that it would have to be an exact copy. They couldn’t go adding things or taking things out. It’s cherished for a reason and if they added Bethesda stuff to it, it would lose it magic I’m sad to say.
New vegas doesn't necessarily need to be remastered (though that would be pretty sick) it's main issue with stability comes from it being a 32-bit application and it has a memory leak issue so if the game uses more than about 1gb of ram it'll crash, so realistically the application could be edited replacing the 32-bit syntax with the 64-bit equivalents and recompiled into a 64-bit application. That in most likelihood would fix a majority of the crashing and would probably be better for the game as whole than a remaster for if nothing else I'd be afraid they wouldn't be able to bottle that lightning again but more practically I think legally a lot of the content wouldn't be able to be transferred over like the radio's songs due to licensing whereas I think they wouldn't have those issues if it were just an update because its still the same licensing? (Not a lawyer) unless it were republished, but both would likely destroy the existing currently compatible and/or compatible discontinued mods which would definitely piss off a lot if of the pre-existing fanbase so its a bit of a double edged deal no matter how you slice it
Fantastic comment!! Thank you! But the reason I push for the remake/remaster if for never players who just can’t play it as they can’t see past the graphics. I feel like they should have the chance to experience it. But you’re 100% right that if you copy it you can ruin its legacy. My wife loved Vice city and had it as one of her favourite games of all time. Then she got the remastered trilogy and it ruined it almost for her as it took a lot of songs out, showed her it wasn’t actually very good in terms of comparison to todays games so I totally get where you’re coming from.
Haha they always put kids in the game who are so obnoxious just to wind you up. It sounds bad but we all found out they were invincible…and there’s only way to find that out lol
Thank you for those kind words, I like to watch any video that praises a game I love and that’s what I wanted to do for this video. New vegas holds a special place in my heart :)
Yes I definitely meant remake and not remaster. It needs to be updated completely and a remaster would not make enough of a difference. I used the wrong word in the title sorry!
I say go for it. Fallout three, shoot I'd even love to see them redo the first two and make it like the others play style.do whatever we got to do to make it happen
Especially the first two instalments! Having these games ready to go for when the new players gain interest in the games after the show. It would also be great to experience this classic games all over again!
When you’re passionate about a game it all comes spilling out! I think it’s about letting new gamers experience those same great experiences that we had!
Its not that it dosen't deserve a remaster i personally think it wouldve got the skyrim treatment with a bunch of rereleases if it weren't for the bad blood between Bethesda and Obsidian
Why is their bad blood? That might be worth doing a video on if they really are having issues. They have certainly not given this game any love. In fact, I was amazed when I saw new vegas coming to the show as I had the impression Bethesda didn’t really have love for the game.
The first fallout game I played was 3, the second was new vegas and the third was fallout 4. All 3 are good but if I did have to play them again without ever playing them before, I would go with 4, new vegas and then 3.
I played new vegas back when it came out on ps3 and i loved it. It was better than fallout 3 in every way except one, which was world design. To me, the atmosphere, world design and sense of discovery are at the core of what makes fallout enjoyable. I loved the rpg mechanics of NV and hope they return in the next fallout but even i today cant really play the older fallout games because of their dated gameplay mechanics and graphics. I hope new vegas gets the remake treatment and they can update some of the systems like survival mode mechanics, crafting and power armor as a few. I think the NV die hards a very passionate and vocal minority who will continue enjoying the old game as it is but if they bring this game back its should have the best of everything fallout currently has to offer in order to bring in more fans to support the franchise. People like your wife are the new fans fallout needs in order to thrive as a long term franchise and they need hardcore fans like yourself to keep the franchise true to its origins
Awesome comment! Not sure if you saw my other video “why fallout 4 divides the fans” and in that one I explain how the atmosphere in 3 was very dark and made it so unique and enjoyable. Both of those two games really deserve remakes as both were amazing games. I’m not sure why Skyrim has had 1000 remasters but the Fallout games have just been abandoned.
Yes it definitely needs something just to bring it up. I’d want a full remaster but would also settle for just little add one. Like the ability to switch guns and take healing items without having to pause the game every time for example.
I'd have done what you did. It's highly likely that the less hardcore gamers wouldn't be able to handle the drop down in graphics going from 4 to anything before it. I'd have maybe asked her to push on until she got to a juicy bit of story
I’ve been telling new gamers to get to free side as I have feel that’s the moment you’re fully in the game. Like you’re hooked. What do you think? When’s the point of “oh yeah, I’m in this game now”
@AVVGaming1 for me it's first coming across the legion at Nipton seeing all the gangers strung up then reading Steyn's terminal. At that moment I'm was always in for the ride.
@@beardedweirdo790 yes that moment is epic too! That’s when the game shows its dark side and playing with mature themed stories. Definitely one of the most memorable moments for sure.
The answer is a very easy and simple yes. Not even because the game needs enhancements but because it could benefit from greater accessibility. There's an entire ecosystem of gamers that can't reliably play NV. If you have Xbone/Series, you're fine. If you're on PC, you'd need a bit of modding but then you're good. If you're on playstation? There's no options to play NV other than a stream-only version via PS+ or to play the still very broken, nigh unplayable, PS3 port.
Yes I was going to mention that in the video but didn’t in the end, but it’s such a shame. What’s crazy is that Skyrim has been released for nearly every console ever made and then new vegas came out on ps3, received a patch a year later and that’s it. It’s almost like there’s no love for it. But it’s one of those amazing games that really deserves to be experienced by all gamers. It really doesn’t deserve to be just left in a corner gathering dust. If it was just an average game I wouldn’t preach so hard but it really deserves the remake!
A proper remake would be great, especially made with another engine imo. That would bring the game on another level, maybe even better than making it with the Bethesda's engine. I have nothing against Creation Engine, but i think there are better engines you can use.
The creation engine is fine and looks okay. But it’s the fact they all play the same all the games. They can’t do much more outside of what they offer because of its limitations. If they want to take their games to the next level they need to consider a new engine really. I think they might now though
Yes, recreate the exact same game but then add it all the parts that were either cut or not built due to the time constraints. Can you imagine? I’d have to take a week off work lol
Yes it’s available on Xbox series but I believe it’s not available on anything ps3 which makes no sense. They really need to give Some love to the older fallout games. They’ve released Skyrim for every console ever made, they at least need to get new vegas on some newer consoles.
In my play through I just went around killing everything. The people at the airfield I was upset cause they kept blowing me up and I killed them, I didn’t like Ceasers legion so I killed them all, I forgot what I did to the NCR but the game was one of the best to me I did literally everything I wanted
Haha that’s a good playthrough and it’s nice that a game allows you to do stuff like that. I think the freedom aspect is the best thing about new vegas because you can do different things each playthrough and discuss with other players who are too scared to shoot up every one but intrigued what impact it has.
@@AVVGaming1 actually funny story, I went in to ceasers legions hideout and just exploded him away 😭 then when his legion boss came to fight me at the second battle of hoover dam I talked him away instead cause he was too hard to kill
Hate to be that guy, but... You're talking about a REMAKE. Remastering would be taking the same game and tweaking textures and ironing out performance issues etc. Remake would be a new development cycle where the devs make a brand new game. All assets recreated, all game design rebalanced to accomodate modern shooting, ai scripting, etc. And you said you wanted new voice acting too? Definitely REMAKE territory. It would take a lot of work and money. But with the engine already streamlined, it could be done relatively quickly, 2-3 years? Especially if you don't have to spend all that time writing, planning a new game cause it already exists. Unless they'd want to "finish" the original game this time. But anyway, it ain't happening.
Don’t hate being that guy! Especially when you’re right lol I’m definitely talking about a remake like you said. Remaster is probably the wrong choice of word. It would need more than a new coat of paint. It should happen as it would be a slam dunk but as you say, probably never going to happen :(
There are a few small fixes that need to be done first #1 if I have 500 coin shot I don't want the game to default to 12 gage if I have to change guns for example #2 you can sell dynamite to Sloan for NCR fame #3 armour repair kits!
Fuck a remaster and screw a remake of fallout New Vegas. Microsoft needs to task Obsidian with making a new fallout game using the improved engine that we saw in starfield. New Vegas was great for its time after the initial numerous bugs got ironed out.. Bought fans already know the story and diehard fans know every aspect, Nuance and branching storyline of it already. A clean canvas and a new story is what obsidian as well as fans need. Regardless of what is decided be it new game or remake, it will take years.
Bethesda owns the rights to fallout and Obsidian wont work with them again. I think the outer worlds is the closest thing were gonna get from Obsidian which is upsetting because it doesn't have the same charm as new Vegas
@@jacksonarnold6205 Bethesda owning the rights is a moot point because Microsoft owns both them and obsidian. To be honest Microsoft really have screwed up in buying all these studios and not being able to effectively administrate them. They need to start cracking the whip more effectively.
That is definitely a valid option and I think obsidian know how to make a great game. Especially when it comes to fallout. It’s crazy that they had one chance, over achieved with little time and never got a second chance. It just seems so wrong.
I’m playing outer worlds now and I’m going to do a video on that. Is it better than starfield? It’s a good game and I see all the good qualities of RPG there but it’s not had me as hooked as new vegas. That game just seemed to be the one.
I can see why. If they copied it exactly the same then yes. But knowing them, they’d tweak it and make it different because they know better. Or so they keep thinking.
Yes I’ve sort of seen that and I don’t think it’s fair from then. They made fallout 3 and gave obsidian the chance to do new vegas on the same engine. All good. I think people don’t like what Bethesda have become now. It’s night and day to the company they were back then I feel.
I was in the exact same spot with my wife who is not a gamer. I told her to try fallout 4 because it is the most beginner friendly and system light out of them all
Yes I should have done that and she has really enjoyed fallout 4. If someone asked which game to try first now I would definitely suggest 4. It’s just more user friendly.
Absolutely. New Vegas remaster with Fallout 4 engine would be a dream come true. Actually I’ll do you one better: Tale of Two Wastelands in a Fallout 4 engine. That would make billions.
Not only is it the best. Like so many other fallout games it has performance issues that could be ironed out. And graphics update and maybe a update to combat
Yes that’s all it’s missing. The actual content, writing and everything else is top quality and that’s why it’s so good! It just needs to be modernised for new audiences so they can experience it as well.
I’ve had New Vegas on steam for free somehow for years and never played it. I started 4 after watching the show and am definitely going to check out New Vegas after I finish 4
It’s one of those that may start slow but if you stick with it you’ll get hooked. Once you get to the strip, that’s when it all goes crazy with quests and stuff to do and you’ll be hooked. Will take some time to get used to though.
I don’t think nv need a remaster I think fallout 1 need a whole ass remake it’s like the greatest fallout but I might have bias since it’s the first one I played but it’s perfectly paced the story is goated the role playing is goated the moral choices are goated atmosphere goated power armour goated weapons goated gore goated gameplay entertaining it’s just good so they should remake it
Which fallout 1? Yes that also needs to be remade, they all do really because they all deserve it. With the success of the tv show, fallout is only getting more popular and so many new to the series want to experience the first games and see what it was that started the whole series. I 100% agree with you.
I would love to play a remastered edition. I don't really think that will happen though. Nothing solid, just a hunch. That's why I am trying to be patient while waiting for FO4: New Vegas mod to come out. I'm not really expecting that soon either though just because the authors of that mod are fans who have lives they would like to live in the real world.
Someone told me that Bethesda poaches some of their staff? And that they have delayed that mod indefinitely? Not sure if it’s true as it’s just what someone told me. Would be great if it could be made though.
There can never be enough praise for New Vegas because it's been nearly 2 decades since its release and no other game has managed to top it in terms of quality and tender love and care the developers put into it, even if you do need mods to run it. (Viva New Vegas fixes all these issues) The decline of Bethesda only proves the point further with the disaster that was 76 and Starfield, showing a complete regression and significant lack of effort despite an unbelievable and almost undeserved amount of money and resources available. Technology's progressed since, but not the work ethic, passion and commitment of gaming developers.
I have played 76 and it’s just not what I want in a fallout game. It’s also very aggressive with micro transactions. As soon as you login it pops up selling you carpets and stuff. I have watched interviews with Emil, Todd Howard and I’m telling you, there is something there hidden, they are definitely losing their drive and almost seem to not like their own fans? The way they responded to Starfield negativity and 76 feedback, there’s no accountability, they just say the fans are wrong. If someone disagrees with my opinion on a video, imagine if I responded to everyone saying “you’re wrong! Your opinion is irrelevant!” My channel would be shut down. Bethesda are the only company I’ve known that can get away with it.
the best and stupidest plan would be remaster new vegas, make new vegas 2 on the same console complete with game states for each slide in the ending narration. (within reason, the dlcs have some unreasonable consequences.) now of course with the show giving us a canon ending to new vegas that last part is unnecessary but it also does help to set a default state for those that have not played new vegas. its dificult, and would make making the base story of new vegas 2 hard to make as good as 1. but it would be fun to have. 4 base mojaves, modified by karma and death further modifies by the fates if the other factions, (or at least the ones with endings that shows them staying in the mojave.)
@@AVVGaming1 it very much depends on on the feasibility and oportunity cost of netting you play your new vegas 2 if the remaster is even neccesary. witch ending is canon? do you care if new vegas 2 is diffrent from the way you left new vegas? even the oposite of everything you did?
@@Markcrazeer I think there has to be a canon ending if there’s to be a sequel. Just not sure which one….probably Mr House in order to keep him involved?
If someone can't enjoy a game because of the "bad graphics" thats just being superficial while being left out of the good stuff. But a remake with better graphics ,animations and restored cut content would be nice nontheless. Sorry if I was rude!
You weren’t rude I’m someone who doesn’t care about graphics so much, more the story. But I know a lot of new gamers prioritise graphics and it’s preventing them from experiencing this absolutely amazing game. The remaster is not just for us people who love the game but mainly for the new fans so they can have the same experience we had. Graphics are nice but I’m definitely more about the story in a game.
@@syndicalistcat3138 yes! And some guys look beautiful but are awful in terms of story but people love them. If a game can have good writing and looks stunning too then that’s a bonus! If it looks ugly but has a great story I’ll sing its praises! If it’s looks great but awful story then I won’t like it
Won't get it because Bethesda is mad that their Fallout games are inferior to NV. If they truly didn't have an ego about it they would've consulted the writers of NV for Fallout 4 and would've given the writers another crack at it by letting them write the actual f qing show.
Yes that would have been nice. They haven’t given any other team a chance at any of the games. I’m not sure why? It’s money in their pockets so it’s nothing negative. New Vegas didn’t hurt Bethesda, in fact I think it helped!
I think that the hard parts already been done. They’ve already done the quests, writing and built the world. It’s literally a programmer team just bringing it to a new engine. It really deserves it!
It really does because the fundamentals are there. I’m playing outer worlds now and it’s good but I think new vegas is the peak in terms of writing and it had be hooked completely. It’s just one of those lighting in a bottle moments
They need a true SEQUEL to it. I would be happy IF they just went in and CLEANED up their code. FIX the memory leak, stop the stuttering, the crashing. Make it so NEW players, ALL players don't have to go hunting down mods to make the thing function. The way Liethesda is today I don't TRUST them to do a remaster. Hell I don't trust NEW games from them.
Yes I can understand that worry and a few others have said the same. Why not just make a truly new game? Will obsidian ever be given that chance though? Mental well you consider they passed the test with flying colours and then never got a second go at it.
@@AVVGaming1 It's too bad that, THAT Obsidian didn't get another chance. The Obsidian of today are not the same thing. The poor people that have to deal with that engine, no matter what, got a TASK ahead of them IF that's what they got to "work" with . Annnnndddd Emiiilll the "writer" NEEDS to have NOTHING to do with it.
@@AVVGaming1 No, sorry to say I haven't played that yet. That is what I've heard. Not a bad game but it AIN'T no New Vegas. Same company but not the same people.
At the very least it should be rereleased for ps5 even without remaster, like red dead redemption 1, a resolution and framerate boost because i'm tired of streaming the terrible PS3 version on PS now
Yes they abandoned the PlayStation and it’s a third of the market of gamers. It makes no sense not to allow PlayStation players to experience it especially now it’s coming to the show a lot of people will want to play NV. Unless that’s the plan to sell more Xboxes
As much as I want to see the game remastered. It's gonna get bombarded with [insert censorship like fkin baby inc don't know the exact name for example] especially with so many snowflakes currently...
Yes it’s not been available for either ps4 or 5. It just needs a remake so that way it’s up to par with todays games and new players have a chance to give it a go
Yes sorry I definitely meant remake but used the word remaster as the title. It would need to be remade completely in a new game engine just like you say, it’s probably the only way it would be worth it
@@AVVGaming1definitely! The game that made me lay down, google, research and think. In the end, the decision still makes you feel like it’s not good enough. In F3 and F4 you can optimise the reputation, Google and choose which one gives the most value.
@@icrywhenisleep2130 I’ve just seen an article they’re considering / currently making fallout 2 remake. I’m gonna research further and if legit I’ll make a video on it. Fingers crossed!
I'd love to se it in a different engine to get past the 32bit limitations alone, because god does it crash a lot. And i'll admit it took me a while to get into NV as i found the early game sluggish in terms of gameplay.
@@AVVGaming1 I'm seriously glad i did. The replayability is off the charts with the amount of new things i find with each playthrough. Loving it in general.
@@simsdas4 it’s definitely a slow burner. I’d say once you reach freeside things start gaining momentum and then you’re hooked. The first few hours it’s slow. You have to stick with it and then bam! You know you’re in a game
Yes that game could really use a remaster too and it would probably be easier too as there’s not as much to do in terms of work on quests etc. maybe they should just do both? Then we’d be made up!
That’s exactly what I want. Can you imagine what game we’d get? It’d be unreal! The game is massive already but yes they cut out some good stuff just due to time limitations
That’s what I play it on and no issues either. Just some odd glitches but no clashes. It’s the best version and opposed to the others. I still would like to see a remake of the game though
No because if they did, I'm more than 95% sure we're gonna get another gta trilogy edition where we get gassed up only for it to be a buggy piece of shit. FNV is perfect as it is
Yes I’m sorry I meant remake not remaster. A remaster would lead to exactly what you said. But if they remade it, they could make changes which could ruin the experience so I get your point.
