Romans 4:4-6 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
@trustenbaker8766
@trustenbaker8766 2 года назад
This is completely wrong. The answer I mean, it's completely wrong. Being righteous doesn't mean you stop sinning. The fruit of the Spirit is not " you stopping drinking, or smoking or looking at porn" or whatever your sin might be. I think men who get this wrong are men who look at the "BIG SINS" and say to themselves, " SELF I don't do those, so this scripture must mean what I think ". Even though the Bible gives more than one example on how your are saved by Faith, apart from "not sinning". Now I will say there should be a desire in you to do right. But even if you continue to do what's not right, that act has no bearing on whether or not your saved. It couldn't! And the reason it couldn't is because the sin problem has been removed, it's been taking care of. We can't now be guilt of sin that Christ has removed. A person is saved by God calling to their heart, and them responding to that call no matter how much of the light was given to call them/ understanding. Now to that example 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 "It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." So in the above scripture we find a situation where a man was sleeping with his fathers wife. The church was tolerating it and even bragging about how much tolerance they had for the man/love. But Paul tells them to, " turn one over to satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus " So this is an example of how a Christian can be totally saved but still satisfying the flesh. You can't make this scripture say anything other than what it does. You can't "walk" away from your salvation either. It's not "YOU" who called your heart it's God! Jesus said no one can "come to me unless the Father which sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day". God tells us that his Word will not return void to him, but will accomplish all that He wants. Isa 5:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Who do you think is in control here? YOU? You think your in control of your salvation? You think your actions have any bearing on whether or not your saved? You want to turn God's Free Gift into a license to place a greater weight upon a mans shoulders? Another example Thief on the cross. The thief next to Christ on the cross had no time to bear fruit. He has no time to "get his life right"! He had not time to say he was sorry for his sins and to "give his heart to God". He didn't have time to do anything except the one thing that is needed, which is belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. And when the thief did that, he obeyed the one commandment in all of scripture. The thief on the cross did the one thing that is needed. Jesus said no one will enter the kingdom of heaven without doing the will of the Father. In Matthew we are told this. Matthew7:21 "“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." So the question BEGS just WHAT IS THE FATHERS WILL???? Jesus answers it Himself in John. John 6:40 "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." Your fear shouldn't be that your still sinning in this way or that way. Your fear should be that you have so much pride you can't see any longer that your placing some of your being saved upon yourself and not Christ. THESE are the people who Christ said I never knew you! And it's because they have never really ever rested in the simplicity of the Gospel. They want to take some of their saving on themself, get a little credit and that is why you have a backwards doctrine like in this video. Your not going to heaven because you quit something. Your not going to hell because you continued something. You either believe in the work of Christ for yourself or you do not. And if your first thought is, " I need to stop this or do this " then your already backwards. None of what I've said here is my endorsement upon a life of sin. There should be in you desire in you to do what's right. I quit smoking by first praying to God and telling him the truth! Which was I LOVED SMOKING! But my prayer was to be honest about my sin. I told God I loved it, but I also want to be obedient and that if He wouldn't help me then it wouldn't get done. And eventually it did get done. But rather you drink everyday or smoke or look at porn has no baring on you going to heaven. It couldn't! Continued sin in the believers life affects the relationship with God, and God will work through much pain on your part to bring you in line. And ....He will! One way or another you'll get in line, and fly straight, eventually!

Galatians 5 is one of a few verses saying we can lose our salvation. 1 John 5:16-17, James 5:20, Romans 11:17-24, 1 Cor 15:2, John 15: 2-11. In Matthew 24, Jesus said those who persevere to the end shall be saved. Salvation is not a one time event but based on an enduring relationship with Jesus. While he will not cast us out, he gave us free will to choose him over damnation.

It’s not talking about Christians, it’s talking about unbelievers. Believers cannot be condemned because Jesus’ righteousness is imputed onto us and we are justified in the eyes of the Father. Romans 8:1 makes it clear that it’s impossible for believers to lose their salvation. Also, this guy is spreading a false gospel by saying we are “saved by faith alone, but true faith is never alone.” Secret works-based salvation. Our works do not save, do not prove we’re saved, nor do we do works to maintain salvation. Salvation is through belief in Christ alone, end of story.

Rom 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. Don't promote the wrong doctrine of fruit inspectors. Salvation is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8-9) one receives the moment they believe gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) A free gift comes with no strings attached or it's not a gift. Fruit inspectors are not saved because they're including their own good works for salvation instead of trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ's perfect finished work on the Cross. 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Do you know the difference between the prophesied gospel of the kingdom for Israel (Acts 3:21 vs Romans 16:25) and the non-prophesied gospel God kept secret since the world began? Act 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Rom 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, Are you preaching the gospel of salvation that you’re supposed to be preaching today? The most stern and dire threat of damnation in Scripture has to be Galatians 1:8-9. These verses should keep you up at night until you find the specific gospel the Apostle Paul preached and was received by the Galatians. Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Gal 1:8-9, has the same phraseology (“preached unto you” & “ye have received“) and anchors 1 Cor 15:1-4 as the gospel referred to in Gal 1:8-9. 1 Cor 15:1, literally says “I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you,” Per Galatians 1:11:12, the Apostle Paul received the gospel not from any man but directly from the ascended Lord Jesus Christ. Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel of salvation the ascended Lord Jesus Christ revealed directly to Paul (Gal 1:11-12). God kept this gospel a secret until He revealed it to Paul (Romans 16:25; 1 Corinthians 2:8; Ephesians 3:9). 1Corinthians 15:1-4... IS THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION! 1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: “Christ died for our sins”...What you personally believe about these five words of Scripture will determine your eternal destiny. Salvation is not a process, but an event. It happens the instant you believe the gospel. The moment you BELIEVE the gospel personally, that Christ bled and died on the Cross and paid the penalty for ALL of YOUR sins, He was buried, and rose again on the third day, then you’ve received God’s gift (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 6:23) of salvation and you have eternal life. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The only way to mess up God’s gift of salvation is to reject it or try to work for it. A gift is free with no strings attached or it’s not a gift. You do all your good works because you’re already saved, not to be saved. Rom 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. The moment you believe the gospel you’re saved and eternally sealed with the Holy Spirit. (Eph 1:13). Water baptism; church attendance; tithing; confessing/repenting of sins; speaking in tongues, none of these are required for salvation today - only believing the gospel is required. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, When you trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior you can’t go to Hell because the penalty for all your sins (past, present, & future) have all been paid for by Him. And only Christ kept the 10 Commandments and He imputes His righteousness, the righteousness of God (Rom 10:3; 2 Cor 5:21; Php 3:9) to your account the moment you believe the gospel and trust Him as Savior. You may not feel like it but you become as holy and righteous as the Lord Jesus Christ and you’re eternally qualified for Heaven. You’re saved from Hell and guaranteed Heaven when you die or are Raptured because you believe the gospel and trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. God is now reconciling the world to Himself through His Son and IS NOT IMPUTING OUR SINS TO US! Why not? Because He imputed every sin to His Son on the Cross. 2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. The Lord Jesus Christ resurrected victorious over sin, death, the devil, and Hell. Every time someone believes the gospel, the devil and Hell are plundered. Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Our faith was not produced by our will, but by God's will, giving us His Spirit Who opened our hearts for God's Word and making God's work alive in us which results in faith. Faith is produced by the Spirit and God's Word. So if we could lose our salvation it would mean that God would have to take away His Spirit. This debate has led believers to false doctrine, Jesus died for all and yet He chose you before you were born. The truth is God chose you because He knows that you will follow Him , just like He knows Adam will commit sin in the garden before he was created. If you believe that Jesus died for His chosen one , then you are already in false doctrine, you made God a Liar, because God wants everybody saved that’s why He died for all. OSAS Will quote john 10.28 “I give them eternal life. They shall never perish, nor anyone snatch them from my hand.” and they will say see you cannot lose your salvation, but they forgot that verse before that John 10.27 “ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, AND THEY FOLLOW ME” they don’t see that these believers are obedient to the Lord that’s why. OSAS will say it was given to you in the first place why take it again. First of all it was given to everyone but unbelievers forfeit it ( Jesus died for all ). Adam had it all but lost everything because of disobedience, now ask your ask yourself will I lose it too if I am disobedient to God? The answer is crystal clear, not “ clear as mud”.

The problem is to know if we are really born again; this is the pre requisite for being saved. Romans 8:16 has to be true for us "16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. " if there is no witness of testification that what are God's children then how do we know? if we are not sure, we should ask God to let us know for sure, this is very important. If we are born again, there is nothing that can make us to be unborn, that union between our spirit and the Holy Spirit is forever.

"Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him". I John 3:15 If it is impossible for a Christian to hate another Christian, then the author of this book is not very bright. If a Christian can hate another Christian and does so, that Christian no longer has eternal life within him. And that means he is no longer saved. He gave Himself for us to (1) set us free from every kind of lawlessness AND to (2) purify for Himself a people who are truly His, (3) who are eager to do good works, Titus 2:11-14. If a person can be like a dog and return to its vomit then that person has circumvented the very reason that Christ died for Him. (...we are under obligation, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh, for if you live after according to the flesh, you will die (eternally), but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live (eternally), For all who are (being) lead by the Spirit of God are the sons of God, Romans 8:12-14. If it is impossible for a Christian to go from fo.lowing the Spirits lead to going back to living in the flesh, then the author of this book is mentally handicapped. If any Christians listens to you and becomes careless and dies in his sins and ends up in hell because of what you've said, it is my hope that you end up right along with them.

literal contradiction?? _not really.....faith is what saves, but faith has evidences. Speaking of Matthew, chapter 7 suits you when Jesus rejects those who trusted in their works, which are iniquities in His eyes. If you really believe that, then you are going to hell. John 3:16, and many more verses talk about faith alone. Good day to you

Yes, the Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness (2 Timothy 2:19). If your theology is based on the "alones" and no repentance, and you believe that that is the truth, you have gotten and you will get scripture upon scripture wrong. These are "great swelling words of vanity" (2 Peter 2:18) according to the apostle Peter. Read Hebrews 6:4-6 for a simple answer.
@yestothetruth

@Moris Blackborn “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from unrighteousness.” That's what we can both read in 2 Timothy 2:19. Let's see if "unrighteousness" was referring to "Hymenaeus and Philetus" as you claim (anyone reading can make up their own mind on this): 2 Timothy 2:16-19 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from unrighteousness.” Alright, so the problem is that if what you claim is right, 2 Timothy could be removed completely out of the Bible, and you will still have hundreds of passages that say the same thing you don't want to see. 1 John 3:6 says that those who are abiding in Jesus do not sin. 1 John 3:9 says that children of God do not sin. How do you understand those scriptures? Do you just ignore them? Sin is what Jesus came into the world to save sinners from (Matthew 1:21). He sets them free from sin, those who follow Him as disciples (John 8:31-36, Romans 6:7, 14, 18). Can you look at these passages with the same diligence that you read 2 Timothy 2 to get to your conclusion about Paul just warning Timothy about Hymenaeus and Philetus? Why are you so concerned about "children of God can't lose salvation" that you miss the fact that sinning is not what the life of a person "saved by grace through faith" is made of, and there is no assurance of being on the path that leads to eternal life when sin goes on and no one is being called to repentance, but given false assurance instead that all is OK and Jesus is happy with them going on sinning on the broad way that leads to destruction in fact (Matthew 7:13). Have you considered why going back to a life of sin like Galatians 5:21 warns of is compared to the case of a dog who returns to its vomit or a sow that was washed who returns to wallow in the mire (2 Peter 2:22)? No, "we" are not called to return to our vomit if we had indeed left our vomit of sin once and had turned to Jesus to be washed by his precious blood. How about Jesus warning Christians/people who had a secure relationship with Him at some point for sure: Revelation 2:5, 2:16, 2:22, 3:3, 3:19? Compare how Jesus speaks to backslidden, sinning people, with what you believe about sinning and being a Christian and heading securely to eternal life. OK, I hope my reply helps you because we don't have forever to get right with God in our thoughts and in our heart. _2 Peter 3:9_ _The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance._ Find out what repentance is, and that will clear up any misunderstandings you have about sin and what God's heart is about sin and sinners who refuse to repent, especially given that Jesus has come into the world so that sinners can turn to God and live for God and stop sinning/living for themselves and their own pleasures (John 8:11, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Peter 4:1). *2 Timothy 2:19* *However God's firm foundation stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."* You have to make sure the "we" in the title of the video is indeed those God knows that are his (Romans 8:9 check). Use the Bible for that rather than someone's opinion, and know your identity or else you can't know who the scriptures are talking to or warning of anything. Don't be of those who turn away from the truth and turn to false messages that are pleasing to the ear (2 Timothy 4:3-4). Departing from sins is not a sin. It's a command of God. Don't skip it. Peace to you!

Not only that, but Galatians 3:26-27 says that all of those being addressed have been incorporated into Christ, basing that off of their baptism (not that the baptismal regeneration part is important to note). Galatians 3 - you have all been incorporated into Christ Galatians 5 - I'm warning you that those who do such things ain't going to heaven

One day those who do not want to obey Jesus and want to be ok by doing evil,will stand before Jesus and says Lord Lord did we not have faith in you,did we not get baptized,did we not do miracles,prophecy in your name,did we not manifest gifts of the spirit and zero fruits of Spirit?Then the Lord says depart from me you EVILDOERS. In other translation it says depart from me you who are lawless.Then the people will say Lord we thought even though we do evil,we are saved by faith and you reject us based on evil works?Then Jesus says Have you not read Parable on ten virgins where all the 10 virgins are born again but only 5 have oil in their lamps.Only 5 prepared themselves.Then the people will say Lord do we need oil/preparation to be saved we thought we are justified by faith alone no matter what we do or we don't do we will go to heaven.Jesus says because you didn't care about the oil and preparation,depart from me i never know you. Paul scriptures are totally misunderstood by many.This prophecy is already told by peter in his second letter 3:16 he says unstable, unlearned people will misinterpret his scriptures. He himself says its very hard to understand. Then what about us. First of all salvation is given only to those who are truly repented at heart and who have genuine faith in Jesus who produces the fruits of repentance(good works)(Luke 24:47).Paul spoke about the life one should live after we are born again and he gave warning messages also like this. But mostly he dealth very respectfully with the crowd.I recommend read the paul ,peter,john letters multiple times and come to a conclusion. There is a difference between works of salvation and works of faith.. Eph 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. (speaks about works of salvation by which we are not saved.) Eph 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (speak about works of faith) see how immediately paul speaks in verse 10 about the good works God has prepared which are planned from the beginning of the world so that we should walk in them. Now if some one dont want to even speak about the good works that comes from genuine faith he is the biggest liar and if some one doesnt care about good works which God prepared, Christ spirit is not in him.. And Paul says who ever does not have spirit of christ in him,then he does not belong to christ. Romans 8:9 And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. Now if some one after receiving the free gift, deceives God by not doing good works which he prepared from the beginning of the world, where God should go? And what God thinks about him.

The Traditional Catholic Faith is the one true faith that Jesus Christ himself founded upon St. Peter. Also there is currently no Pope, as Francis is actually a manifest heretic who praises false religions like Islam and Judaism. He's an Anti-pope.
