Gary has changed. A few years back he had the philosophy that nothing was above being mocked. He was not a shill back then. On an episode of FNT they were cracking jokes at the expense of Doomcock. Doomcock got upset that Gary didn't defend him and stop the fun poking. He was told that nobody and nothing was off the table when it can to ribbing. The friendship ended. Now roll forward to the Eric July and Terry Matalis (Picard) era. These things must only be talked about favorably or the subject ignored. Gary got early access and sold out to say 'good things' about Picard 3 and EJ is going to publish Nerdrotic's book. So the body parts must be sucked. Funny how money and access changes a man. Keep the puppet show going.

When I was a somebody in the webcomic world, I was parodied in much the same way as the Ripoffverse puppets. What they did with me was, as the Brits say, "a fair cop". I'm always embarrassed after the fact recounting the time when I got cancelled over politics, BUT being parodied by a puppet or cartoon is NOTHING compared to having your life demolished by a hate/cancel mob. Being parodied was only evidence that I had become worth being parodied, y'know? It's one of the many things that people have trouble adjusting to when they achieve some level of internet notoriety. You get subject to celebrity rules even if you don't really feel like one.

It's against all trends. Zak has a head injury, so he is an oddball to even watch it, and admitted he has not yet seen it. 90% critic, 90% audience score on maybe gamed up site, rotten tomatos. In sum, to get a graying youtuber to pay 15 bux, vs the Mecca Random move, read reviews watch vids on youtube only, take notes then copy the talking points. That is cheaper and easier, and youtube likes the this is crummy. So do the greying viewers. It's worth trying to counter or agree with his points, on his video, but I don't expect anyone to do it, esp. those with major channels. G+G buy toilet rolls & pay light bills with their viewer support.
