That just means in nearly 90% of cases you didn't need to take anything (including anything homoeopathic) and you would have gotten better by yourself. The homoeopathic medicine didn't do anything to help you in those cases where you felt better after taking it.
I was ill with Allergy and Chronic Sinusitis and got cured by Homeopathy. Earlier with Allopathy, it was a nightmare. Homeopathy helped me with swollen liver too and now, after getting better, I believe in Homeopathy. :)

And I can absolutely say it works 1000% percent. I was shocked at how effective Sabina is at reducing your flow and symptoms. Apparently it's considered "Homeopathic" and plenty of women will tell you IT WORKS. So the overgeneralization of a broad category isn't very wise.

homeopathy helped my kid's acne. NOT the acne cream, or the acne face wash, or the anti-acne pads. Helped my friend's coldsores from growing and blistering as long as she took them when she fist felt it coming. They disappeared before the filled with liquid. Never tried homeopathy, but I've been several times to see my 'normal' doctor about some skin issues, and it's never really helped. Tbh he barely seems interested. He spends most of his time staring at his computer screen every time I'm there. Once, he gave me antihistamines for skin rashes, but it had no effect.
Homeopathy works if the practitioner is right. My mom's gal stone got dissolved after 3 months of medicine, she would need surgery otherwise according to the doctor. We did tests later on and they show that the stones got dissolved.

Later by homeopathy medicines 💊my thyroid got cured and I kept decreasing my potency from half every 4 months, and finally removed whole 💊. I'm taking ignatia amara 30c for grief after getting out of a relationship with someone who hurt me tremendously. It works well, it doesn't take away the grief but it lifts the stabbing pain and hurt in the chest that one wakes up with and feels throughout the day. I've had friends who took it when their dog died, or when their child passed away and it decreased the symptoms of grief for them too. This stuff works, just not in accordance to 'traditional science's' expectations.

I'm not a fan of homeopathy but Just because science couldn't prove anything and we can't show it experimentally doesn't mean it is wrong, take quantum science for example, we should really do further research with open mind on homeopathy, because great discoveries are made at things people consider too trivial to investigate
I have been suffering from post nasal drip, and it was chronic. Allopathic made me sick instead of curing. Then I thought of giving try to homeopathy and to my surprise it worked wonderfully. Now I fully rely on this pathic. Though it is not emergency way of treatment, but sure for chronic diseases it certainly works without any side effects.
Our average society is too consumed in allopathy so I’m not surprised just as they are too alcohol and cigarettes. Homeopathy is the only treatment I respond well too besides eating healthy and yoga.

@@uditvyas1 There are things in medicine that are not fully understood, granted. As an example, Dr Ben Goldacre cites general anaesthetics. It isn't fully understood what happens to consciousness, and how, during general anaesthesia. However, although scientists may not know exactly HOW it works, there is no shadow of doubt whatever THAT it works. The same is not true at all of homeopathy. As you know, 'anecdotal evidence' is not reliable evidence, if it can be counted as evidence at all. As a start in compiling material for further investigation, then, it would be an idea for you to start writing down the names and details of the thousands of people you know who were cured by homeopathy. Detail their age, health condition, and the remedies used. In that way you may be able to start tuning your personal knowledge into something more than anecdote.
I experimented on myself with homeopathic meds from homeopathic med i didn't get any results but from another med i got an effective result. If it was a placebo then both med should should work.
If you took the wrong conventional drug for your condition and it didnt work, would you conclude that conventional medicine doesnt work? So why would taking the wrong homeopathic medicine make you conclude that homeopathy doesnt work.

I have used Homeopathic medicine for 50 years and it has always worked very well for me. However Homeopathic medicine has a protocol that has to be followed, such as do not take with Caffeine or Mint or other things like strong oils, which can cancel it. I looked up Homeopathic medicine on Wikipedia and they say it is a Pseudo-Science, but then I am very much aware of some of the errors published on Wikipedia. I am a Metallurgist, Precious Metal Refiner and Assayer and I know my Elements very well and when I looked up info on Fe 60 on Wikipedia, it was easy for me to see many errors published by them. I wonder if they also do this in areas where I am not as knowledgeable??

Well it does works for me and many more. While Alopathy treats right away, it has immediate side effects too. Homeopathy is slow yet removes the issues from the root cause. I prefer homeopathy medicine for my cough & cold (belladonna) n cramps (Hammamelis & China)

As an herbalist, I have always found this idea interesting, though incorrect of course. To a degree, we find many herbs and medicines can give us needed compounds, but when taken in large doses can deplete those very compounds. Dosage is important. As for the water, no it may not 'remember' but there is evidence that if we believe something to be true, it has weight, so in the end homeopathy works in some cases because the person is using mind over matter, and healing themselves. The remedies most likely have no effect other than in the mind of the user..... but placebo is damn strong, and way understated. Many of our physical pains are manifestations of mental issues. (As for the FDA.....well, they don't look at any herbs either, and we know many of them are amazingly effective. I wouldn't use that as a gauge of efficacy, just saying) Peace all!

Umm, there are loads of FDA approved drugs that are essentially just extracts of some herb or another (or at least they're the active ingredient in the remedies I would hope you concoct out of your herbs). Unprocesed plant materials have many downsides to them in general, no way of controling dosage, no way of controling other inactive substances and their potentially harmful effects et cetera. Using purified extracts or pure synthesized drugs that are indistinguishable gives you that control without but with the same active ingredient.
Quintinohthree I believe you are understating the benefits of the entourage effect, such as in cannabis. We tried to extract THC, and it was not as effective as the full spectrum of the plant. They are not always 'indistinguishable' from the whole plant, thought some are. It fully depends on the compounds. The processing itself of materials often brings more problems, such as using hexane for extraction, not to mention the lack of potency in some drugs, many which have been shown to have little of the claimed ingredient. ...even FDA approved drugs more often than not do NOT have the correct amounts stated. this is a big problem with 'white powders' as they call them. (in other words FDA approved does not mean shit these days) You are correct that many extracts or drugs (over 20% are derivatives, around 75% are synthetic versions of natural compounds) are FDA approved, and for some conditions excellent, but in my research I have found in many instances that the whole plant is far superior to the extracts. This is not speculation, but my own experiences as well as many others. Yes, it is more difficult to control dosage, but sometimes nature is just that way. I sell only raw herbs, extracts do have their place. Mostly as an additive to the whole plant to increase one part. However plants have natural buffers often, and I believe them to be superior a lot of the time
carpo719 Homeopathy only offers the placebo effect. The reason some herbs and other plants are effective is because they produce chemicals we would recognise as medicine. For example willow trees store salicin in their bark, which has the same effect as aspirin on humans.
There was over a million medical errors in one year. Many were permanently disabled. This includes infants and children. I know some of these people! Some had no disabilities they died because of the errors!
While I completely agree with your video, the power of placebo might be more powerful than you think - there is a point to homeopathy but I still wouldn't completely replace it with "real" medicine.

I wouldn’t quite call it a placebo. It also depends on the kind of homeopathist you visit. For me it’s the only medication I respond to along with Ayurvedic and eating healthy. Real medicines have tons of side effects the list is endless.

The video says "that's the idea that if something gives you a rash, that same thing can be used to treat rashes". Yes indeed, but not, as the accompanying video suggests with the cat, a rash caused by the exact same thing. A rash caused by a cat would not be treated by cat. A rash caused by poison ivy would not be treated by poison ivy (Rhus Tox, a well-known homeopathic preparation). That approach is strictly called isopathy. The homeopathic principle is SIMILAR, or LIKE, and not SAME. A peculiarity of homeopathic literature, at least that which is readily available, is that no-one explains what the degree of difference is supposed to be, between the patient's symptoms, and the symptoms that would be caused by the medicine in material doses in a healthy person.

Homeopathy is nothing more or less than a type of sympathetic magic in that the substance in highly diluted varieties are non-detectable yet considered most potent. As for me I find that the least diluted versions(those with actual extract) actually are ok.
In India, Homeopathy is growing at a faster rate. Patients are experiencing some better change in their health condition that's why they are taking the homeopathic remedies. If it is just a placebo effect then why so many people will take risk.
We are in our infancy on what we understand water to even BE. We are so limited in what we can measure. And we can't measure what we don't know. How does one measure memory, and is it really memory, or is it something else that we have no clue about? If we limit ourselves to only what we know and can test so doctors and Big Pharma can keep their image and money, then we harm ourselves. I hope skeptics will go and gets books on the creator of homeopathy and read other books such as those of Richard Bach, of the Bach Remedies. He was a physician, and was able to discern healing powers in plants and flowers. Please do this. It can only help you.
you didn't understood what i said.....i said that when everything else was done for the patient like chemotherapy and it was now about to be over. docs said that the patient's time is gonna end soon since it was now at the last stage , so enjoy the remaining time. Then the patient shifted to homoeopathy treatment and was able to live for 6-7 years before death. so Homeopathy has prolonged his life which was previously expected to be 1 years at max.

An age old topic.The good thing is the principle of the dynamics of dilution in homeopathic remedies. The bad thing is the increasing failure of allopathic medicine to deal with reoccurring illnesses and disease - antibiotics is a good of example. As long as conventional medicine continues to insist that it has a scientific monopoly on treatment there will always be a desire for complimentary medicine. Thankfully, there are many GPs who practise both forms.
Yes, a topic going back over two Centuries. The good thing is that Homeopathy has no specific side-effects, since there's insignificant, if any, active ingredient. The bad thing is that there is no good evidence of action for ANY homeopathic remedy for ANY illness. People relying on Homeopathy to treat and prevent disease are literally putting their faith in sugar pills and magic water.

I had a headache. I taped a nickel to my forehead. An hour later I noticed my headache was gone. Does that mean nickel therapy works? No.

Interesting that you made a fancy video just to stop people from using medicine you admit is harmless. How about some explaining the side effects of conventual medicine, like chemo? I've helped babies get over their colds very quickly with homeopathic medicine; they could not have been from "placebo" effects since babies don't even know what medicine is. I don't care what the FDA says.
