It's so hilarious that Jamahal Hill claiming his fight with Pereira was a fluke gets completely debunked by the fact that Che called the exact way Hill was gonna get ko'd in his breakdown for the fight 💀
While I didn't think Hill was going to win, I strongly believe the fight would've been way more competitive if Herb reset their positions after the groin kick. Hill was keeping his distance throughout the fight, but the second Herb stopped the fight, he made Jamal stop against the cage while Alex was still pressing because he didn't want to stop fighting. By the time Herb started the fight again, Alex was in a very good position while Jamal had his back against the cage with nowhere to go, leading to Alex closing that last bit of distance to end the fight. Again, I strongly believe Alex was going to win regardless, but I am very disappointed because that fight for sure would've been way more competitive if 1.) Herb stopped Alex from moving forward or 2.) he restarted both of them on opposite sides.
@@Diivoniis while i get wym, hill threw first, alex slipped and knocked him out if he doesn’t throw that left hand the fight probably goes on longer ofc u could say if herb doesn’t reset the position hill doesn’t throw that left hand however at the end of the day he still had a choice to throw like u said he was in a bad position n he throw to circle instead of circling out hindsight is 20/20 but he made the wrong choice. mb for the long comment 😭
How? After Alex stopped herb, the first strike was thrown by hill, the right straight, it's not like he was distracted like he says, how are you distracted and throwing a strike at the same time? Excuses, excuses@@Diivoniis
He's there to wage war, not win decisions. And he's not exactly a decision merchant, his biggest strength is putting you in danger at all times, even if that ends up putting him in danger. (edit) oh my bad you meant Pereira. I thought you meant Jiri. Nah Pereira ain't risking it, but he will always try to set up his attacks, which usually leads to a KO.
Yes he could have easily played safe in the izzy fight, but he promised the fans it would be a banger and went for the kill and caught. He never lost the fanbase because of the loss. But Izzy playing safe and in 2 years he got booed
Jiri took more damage in his fight than Alex did. The entire question is the 2 broken toes, if they completely healed. Though as Hill can attest to it, even with 2 broken toes Alex can KO you in an instant.
I don't understand why everyone's acting like Jiri got destroyed, he lost 1 round due to leg kicks he was winning the 2nd and got caught, he's not the favorite, but it's not like he has no chance, he's Jiri Prohazka he can always get a finish and is incredibly tough to finish
He doesn’t have a chance cause he can’t check a kick. Thats why he got “caught” cause he had to get in there or else his legs would give out before the 25 minute mark so when he rushed in he got slept Jiri style just can’t last against Alex unless he ends it early before the leg kicks destroy Jiri
jiri won round 1, all 3 judges gave that round to him and he was doin well in the second till he got caught. jiri has a good chance of winning the rematch
@@TheBabyTortall this yap about flukas sleep time chi and right lane mma but we all know guru will mog these little turds like he did the middle weight champion😂guru will eat them up
Ankalaev said he wants his shot in Abu Dhabi is October, that's why Alex just ignored him cause we all know that dude is fighting every other month if he is not injured October, not December, yet is a long ass wait from April and he as a champ can control his own tempo and how often he fights
@@NovaBlade926 dagestanis are easily the most privileged group of fighters so that might just got into his head -Islam got into the top5 by defeating the #10 ranked dude in short notice and got a title shot by defeating an unranked Bobby Green in a week's notice -Umar is getting a title eliminatoe against the #2 ranked fighter while having 0 ranked victories -Ikram is stepping in against the #3 ranked MW and might get a title shot out of it -Mokaev would have gotten a title shot had he not gotten injured vs Perez while looking shit in all his fights and beating Perez by spamming empty takedowns which were all defended btw -Khamzat is from another region but just like his Dagestani brothers he wouldbhave received a title shot against Sean instead of DDP if he could finish Usman with 9 days notice... The list goes on but you get the point
as they all should, after a fight like the last one, less then 1 round, no damage taken, and some guys take off half a year or more, lol. at that point, u allready had a camp , and u fresh, u should take a fight in no less then 2 moonths. this was francis, he ko everybody in first round, 6 moonths off, 1 year off, then complained he not getting payed :))))) no active champion ever complained about money. francis is greedy and lazy
The gap is a bit smaller. In the newest video, alex said he weighs around 103 kg and Jiri usually weighs 99-100 kg. A bit suprising, but Jiri is actually one of the lighter LHWs.
in the adensanya fight, it also helped that Alex shot himself in the foot by being too aggressive when he sensed a finish. I think Poatan learned his lesson now and won't do it again.
Jiri is waaaayy too hittable. In all of his fights. He also has an incredible chin. That’s fine when fighting anyone in the world who isn’t named Alex Pereira. He’s getting slept.
Jiří is way too hittable, but no one is gonna take the shot because no one can predict the reaction of Jiří when he tries to do that and that's the case. He's hittable on TV, but not so easily in real situation.
if he doesn't check the leg kicks, which he's not gonna be able to if Jan wasn't able to, he's gonna eventually lose the fight unless he gets a wild finish or something, which makes this fight kinda predictable
Actually we did know Conor was not fighting Chandler I mean cmon. Dudes inactive and tweeting and drinking and drugging. Chandler would’ve destroyed him. Conor getting “injured” aka doing coke and booze and falling off a barstool
@@cameronharper4554Crazy how the pendulum swings. First, the cool and non-casual thing to do was not take Connor seriously at all because he talked so much. Then, when he continued to back the talk up, it was cool and non-casual to respect him and take him seriously. Now, people somehow know what he's up to every night, and it's cool to say he doesn't stand a chance and will never fight again, and casual to say he will and could win. It was clear for quite a while that he wanted to fight and the UFC was pushing it back, and now he pulls out of a fight for the first time due to injury, when he's coming back from breaking his leg because he went ahead with a fight despite having stress fractures in that shin. I understand the criticism, but if people can't understand pulling out due to injury in this circumstance, idek what to say. Might have been more the UFC's decision than his, too. When they go into negotiations, it would be hard to convince a network that he's ever going to fight again if it went ahead and he ended up with another serious injury. A loss can be dealt with If Chandler fought intelligently, it would be fair to say Connor stood little to no chance, but he has an uncanny ability for finding a way to do something dumb and lose fights he could've won, and his style is pretty ideal for Connor to land his counters
@@LarryMayvid ratio:d with 3 likes? Calm down. You wrote a whole paragraph about something that is not that deep just to feel smart. And why are you so offended only because i said your comment is too long.
The problem is Jiri is in Czech Republic probably training everyday meanwhile Alex went to Australia to promote their fight with fans for UFC 305. Will this make a difference? He was still posting from Brisbane few hrs ago.
@@bloodbath3658 Only Czech people know this, but Jiri after each fight goes with his village boys and drinks vodka until he blacks out. The next day he has the hardest training because he just feels the aggressivity and how it reseted him. 😹
Counting out someone like Prochazka is a bad thing, Rakic was beating him down in 1 round, but Prochazka just turned it around like its nothing, its likena 60/40 fight for Pereira
My thoughts on fighters who have an aspect of MMA that so is so much more advanced than other fighters (guys like Peirera, Khamzat, Islam) has always been that if their opponent can’t effectively take them away from their comfort zone then they’re going to lose. If you let Islam or khamzat get on top of you you’re screwed. Same thing if you let Peirera get your timing down and pepper you with leg kicks. If you let them fight how they want you won’t win. You aren’t better at it than them.
Dont agree about Jiri being bigger than Pereira. Pereira is significantly heavier, Jiri doesnt cut much weight at all. He does seem very very strong though, and his frame is big.
@@FF-wl1oo he was hit while backing off, low impact. Alex's style invites people to trade with him, that's how he fights. Love Jiri but Alex is on another level, very unlikely for a different outcome than what has already happened. Awesome fight to watch either way.
I was surprised by Alex's quick turnaround, but then I remembered that he got out of his fight pretty much unscathed, so go on him for taking it on short notice. I hope the toe issue doesn't affect his performance too bad
Jiri was putting Pereria on his back foot and took him down the first fight and Pereria is not comfortable moving backwards. Jiri has to do more of that and deal with the low kicks better and manage distance when you get his back against the cage.
JIri just has to remember to ALWAYS set Alex up with feints once he's got him backed up and is in the pocket. That's what was missing when he got caught. Alex always ready with what you described, short, powerful, accurate shots that will get a result. Alex was swinging and missing a lot, Jiri was finding the gaps. And then he stood in front of Alex and stopped using movement and feints. Alex pounced. Jiri wasn't using his jab in the exchanges against the fence. Was relying on the looping hook. He was having success, be curious if he aims for shorter, faster strikes to increase the count in the combo. Jiri can check leg kicks. It's like he doesn't want to be distracted and have to press "pause" on his fighting. Rakic delivered a hell of a lot more... whether Jiri is looking for his tolerance threshold and doesn't care, or he puts in the effort to avoid them or minimise them... well, we're going to find out, sooner rather than later. But with Alex going backwards, the they dry up. It's when you're standing in the middle, searching for your gap... Alex has those kicks to fill in the time.
@@wtfimcrying UFC 256, December 12th 2020. Figgy and Moreno both fought on the same card as each other and won, then Dana announced he’s keeping them in vegas and making Figgy vs Moreno the new main event of ufc 256 since Aljo vs Yan 1 got cancelled off that card.
This time the fight between Jiri and Alex is even more interesting. Jiri has been knocked around in his last fight and still didn't defend the leg kicks but he has been training while Alex has been touring in Australia and still recovers from his broken toe...
I'm going to root against Jiri because if he loses he'll go down to 84kg. And I think it would be really funny to see Jiri EASILY WIN EVERYONE AT 84KG Whittaker, Adesanya, Strickland, Dricus no one stands a chance against Jiri. Probably almost everything KO 1st round
Jiri is a great fighter, but I think he has to fight a nearly perfect fight, or catch Alex with something big while they are both fresh. Alex could get overconfident like he did in the Izzy rematch where he gets too comfortable throwing punches, and gets caught, but I don’t see that happening. I do believe Jiri has the ability to give Alex a very hard time in the cage. Who knows about this one. I am usually wrong with my predictions as it is.
The fact that somebody is asking this question is funny by itself. Man, this is MMA, anything can happen, nobody is an unbeatable superman that will win every fight. Jiří is a superior warrior, in fact he was winning the last fight with Alex and if it wasn't cut prematurely, who knows how it would end. I'm telling you if Alex lose this time, he will become much more vulnerable in fan's eyes and become just one of the fighters in light heavyweight.
My two favorite fighters really have to fight again?! Pereira and Jiri are both so awesome. I wasn't even looking forward to 303 for Conor, but now if it's gonna be Pereira and Jiri, i am thrilled!!!
Jiri always has a chance to win , but just like in the first fight I think his wild tendencies will get him slept. It can work against others but not against a kick boxer like Alex.
Since their last fight, Jiri fought Rakic and was losing that fight and was getting hit clean with good punches and kicks, even the second round he was getting hit with good stuff, until obviously he hit rakic to get the tko, if that Jiri fights Alex, I can see a finish from Alex part cause at least he has the power to take him out
dont think so. jiri is very easy to hit with calf kicks. he got destroyed by it last match too. i think the outcome will be pretty similar to last one.
Hey Che, I an og, been here since the first stream. We just harassed flucas to debate you and he immediately ended stream to "shit." Like that guy has bowels. Bros shook.
Pretty crazy that people are completely overlooking jiri when he’s been the only guy at LHW to visibly hurt (or at least make him back up from getting hit) plus he’s the better grappler. And on top of that the KO was super weird and jiri probably would’ve recovered (ovbiously the left hook landed but you know what I mean with the elbows and the weird stoppage)
I mean, it comes down to whether or not Jiri can deal with those leg kicks doesn't it? Don't get me wrong, Jiri is a beast and Alex is taking this on 2 weeks' notice. But first you have to overcome a constant threat at an awkward angle.
Of course he does. He was outstriking Pereira until Alex got him with that left hand of death last time. As a fan of Pereira, this is the rematch that i want to see most even though it's the most dangerous.
If anyone has a realistic chance of beating Alex is Jiri. Now, I don't think it is very likely, but his unorthodox style presents something different that might catch Alex off guard
I never thought Conor was coming back. In fact, I don't think I'm alone. His fight with Dustin put the final nail in the coffin that said that he wasn't coming back. He won those belts, and never defended them. He went off to box, and got Mayweather money, so his heart wasn't in it. Mayweather money took his hunger, Khabib took his soul, his fights with Dustin and their injuries finished the job. Anyone who seriously thought Conor would come back isn't paying attention. A hungry dog needs to fight, a dog that's not hungry won't even stand up. Conor doesn't need to fight anymore. He should either help to train the next generation, or join the team in the commentary booth.
He obviously has a chance but it depends on Pereira. Alex lets his ego get the best of him at times. Since he already beat Jiri he might underestimate him and if he does, Jiri will sleep him. But if Alex is 100% focused, I think he's untouchable.
Hey che, while i agree with you that jiri looks big and always looked like a full 205er, that contradicts the narrative we heard recently that he was small and people were really entertaining him to go to 185 and du plessis said he was kinda small too. All of these statements really surprised me but in the end, is he small or big?
He said he walks around in camp at like 97kgs (220ish) because he feels better, i think when he fought at heavyweight in the past he was really big but he cut down a lot nowadays
I'm confused magomed had two draws and a nice win over a journey man Johnny Walker .. ..why is next for the title ??..jiri clearly deserves it over him.. what are we on about here??.. I keep hearing that
I don’t see jiri beating Alex, idk why Ankaliev isn’t fighting for the belt but it’s a shame if they never do cause I don’t see anyone standing in front of Alex and winning unless it’s Izzy. Jiri gets hit way too much.
Ank wants to fight like once a year in Abu dabi. He’s a prima Donna who thinks he gets whatever he wants because he’s a dagi boy. And I love Islam and khabib btw but that group has serious entitlement when it comes to where they fight
Jiri can win. Pereira hasn’t really shown great takedown defense and jiri was able to take him down in the first fight. They spent most of round 1 on the ground.
conor have serious addiction problems with alcohol and cocaine and i doubt hes gonna figth anymore.. max 1-2 money fights and hes gonna lose those prob.
