From vivid or strange dreams to nightmares and even sleep paralysis, how we dream can change dramatically during menopause.
This week on A.Vogel Talks Menopause I take a look at some of these common changes, what causes them and how to dream better if they are affecting your sleep.

I have stopped watching the news nowadays. Instead, I listen to music or watch comedies to destress.

I started having those awful night terrors where I'd wake up screaming! My poor husband. Fortunately they stopped after awhile (6-8 months) but it truly was bizarre. Thought I was losing my mind.

Hi, I was laughing the whole time I'm watching this video. You describe exactly the dreams I'm having - sometimes I'm climbing a mountain, at times I'm chasing a car and woke up panting. Sometimes I'm hanging on to an umbrella as it flies up in the air, really weird. Thank you so much for your video it validates that I'm not going crazy my hormones are. Thank you.

I wake up at least 3 times in the middle of the night...terrible and most of the time the dreams are not very pleasant.

I can confirm this as well. Magnesium oil rubbed onto the arm pits and neck does a great job. Very good to get back to sleep.

I have bad/unpleasant dreams basically every night now. I've been dealing with this for months. I don't call them nightmares because they're not scary, but they definitely leave me feeling off when I wake up.

Maybe try one of the Flower Essences as these work on the emotional side, if you're in the UK you can use our Night Essence Best Wishes Eileen

Same. Sometimes several in one night. If I wake up to go the loo, I go back to sleep and have another.

@@Creativqueen Yep. Mine are so strange and involved and detailed but usually haven’t been creepy or bad. But a couple of scary ones have started to make an appearance of late. Hope that’s not too regular. Ugh.. it’s like Nightmare on Elm St. I’m scared to go to sleep!

Oh my goodness so glad I found this video. My dreams have been so real I sometimes have trouble with whats real or a dream. Like if it was part of my actual life. I have to sit and think, wait, did that really happen? They are SO real and detailed, thought out and slow. Might try the magnesium and more baths! Thank you so much for this.

I get where I have a lucid dream and try to wake up and it takes a little while to wake up. I keep saying, it is okay you are just waking do not scare yourself. This is not fun.

@@AvogelCoUk sleep deprivation causes this

Hi Deb Yes, sleep deprivation can certainly do this but issues such as sleep apnoea could be a factor so that's why we advise just checking with your doctor.
