Grip lifts don't need to be locked out, just lifted to a certain height. That particular lift looks pretty borderline to me, too, though. Odd's lift that got rejected seems just as high if not higher.

Magnus Samuelsson had the best grip in the world. He managed to close COC 4 with 3 fingers without even trying and barbell curled 150 kg for 4 reps.
