Cleanse hair with lukewarm water, Wear a satin or silk scarf while sleeping, Wash hair with diluted acv for shine, Use liitlexteral coocoonion nourishing shampoo and hair oil. These methods worked for my mother, and she controlled her hair fall with these steps.
As per my feedback, Cocoonioon shampoo is people who are suffering from hair fall from the use of low-quality shampoo as it actually reduced my hair fall. This shampoo is natural, but its smell is average types, and that’s just my personal opinion. The shampoo gave a nice feel without any waste of money. I bought this product when it was low price. This review is my personal opinion, and it could be different for others.
I appreciate the effort you put into making this video-it's truly valuable. My personal best decision in life was to turn to natural hair loss prevention products, and that's why I saved my hair. These natural products don't have expensive marketing campaigns, so you've probably never heard of them, but trust me, be sure to try them, and you'll thank me. I think Norlest has everything related to these natural formulas.
You mentioned tea tree oil, so I thought I would share my unexpected amazing hair growth experience. My hair was so bad, it got so thin, to the point of bald patches and a receding hair line and I've had what I thought was dandruff for as long as I can remember. After some research a few years ago, I learned it's actually seborrheic dermatitis (not dandruff), which is why dandruff shampoos weren't working. I also started having so much hair fall, I had to pile it up in the shower so it didn't clog the drain, it was always falling out through the day, getting all over my clothes, furniture, floor ect. One day, a lady from India, with amazing hair (I know a lot of Indian women have great hair but hers was incredible) she recommended trying tea tree oil mixed with sweet almond oil, coconut oil, and amla powder. She told me to gently rub the mixture onto my scalp and leave it for a minimum of 20 minutes, gently comb the scalp to loosen the build up, then wash my hair as usual. The results were instant! I used a hair dye brush to part the hair and the painted it on my scalp with the brush, I have also used a comb to part it and dabbed it on my scalp but the hair dye brush was much quicker, precise and less messy I'm sure its also much gentler on the hair rather than just using my fingers and rubbing back and forth which can cause breakage. At first, I did it once a week for about a month, then started doing it every 2 weeks, then once a month, now I only do it every 2-3 month (when I notice the SD forming). She also recommended a simple hair mask every 2-3 weeks, it's just sweet almond oil, amla powder and shea butter, whipped together with an electric whisk to make it smooth and easy to apply, I leave it on for 20-30 min and gently massage my scalp to help the blood circulation, then wash my like usual. I also add some amla powder to smoothies (its pretty healthy and adds a nice bitter/tart flavour. I don't know if there's a cure for seborrheic dermatitis but this is by far the best prevention method I've found , my bald spots grew back my hair started growing (its more than half way down my back now) it looks so much healthier, a lot less breakage, split ends and when I wash it, hardly any comes out. I brush it when it's dry and a normal amount comes out on the brush and I only have the odd hair fall out here and there. I'm sorry for such a long story but with the results I got, after years of trying different things, tons of expensive hair products, online diy recipes, even a prescription shampoo but nothing worked (well the prescription "worked" but i had to use it every couple days, my hair got super dry and frizzy and the smell was terrible). I get the tea tree oil from shoppers drugmart, in the pharmacy area. In the same isle that they sell witch hazel (this way I know it's real and good quality). I think most big pharmacies have it but I ask the pharmasist if I can't find it because a lot of places sell overpriced essential oils in the beauty section, and I'd rather get the stuff that's in the medical section. If this story helps even 1 person, I will be happy and won't feel so bad for writing a book instead of a comment 😅. I would love to know what Dr. Dray thinks about it and why it works so well. I know she gets so many comments and this is not a recent video. Anyway I hope this helps someone out there 🙂.
I've been using a very expensive hair oil for the past year ($50!!) I recently switched to the Mielle oil and find it to be FAR superior in quality with rosemary being the 3rd ingredient. It has outperformed the $50 oil by a mile- I'm seeing noticeable new hairs and thickening of existing baby hairs. It has also made my extremely coarse hair softer.
Kudos to you for creating such an informative and engaging video. There are completely natural recipes for preventing hair loss that anyone can make at home, and they are very effective. What's best about them is that after you stop using them, your hair remains the same, it doesn't start falling out again. I believe Norlest has all these recipes and products. Check it out.
I make a rosemary tincture with rosemary leaves and add to spray bottle and add water.. I swear it has kept my hairline from receding. I started seeing bald spots forming at my temples. It has all grown back. I was starting to see my part thinning and it has grown in. I am a big believer in rosemary. Thank you so much for your knowledgeable content.
I bought the Ordinary’s hair serum and didn’t have results. I ended up buying the Mielle to see if I could help my dry scalp and if the hair growth happened, then awesome! Not exaggerating, this works.
I use it a couple of times a week before bed. I’m def not ‘Before and After’ ready, but in two months, there has been growth happening. I’ll take what I can get!
I'm a postmenopausal woman with hereditary androgenic alopecia, with archetypal male pattern hair loss. I've been using a pure rosemary oil on my scalp at night for a year and a half. I apply it to the thining areas. It does not irritate my scalp, so I don't use a carrier oil. While I won't say it's given me thick hair growth, the wispy growth it has restored is enough that with an artful (short) cut that allows me to brush the hair forward, it's sufficient to give the illusion that there is still hair there. I have avoided other products because of the "dread shed," in which you lose hair before it grows back -- if it even does, which isn't universal. I spent $250 on a laser band and THEN found out that it too causes "dread shed." So I sent it back. Minoxidil is metabolized through the liver, and to tax the liver for hair growth doesn't seem worth the risk.
My hairline was 1/4" back, and my temples were bald. This oil is fantastic and works for me. I do not have textured hair. I am not African American, but I had a lot of hair loss that has regrown since using this oil. I'm 100% in favor of this oil. 🙋🏻♀️
@@fariamadhumita I use it three times a week at night with dry hair. I rub it into my hairline, temples, and scalp, then heat set it with a warm blow dryer, so it's not greasy. In the morning when I shower, I use conditioner only. On the days I wash my hair, I add it to my shampoo and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing and using conditioner. This is the only thing that has ever worked for me. I buy mine at Target for $9.99. ✌🏻
Great video. Even for those of us with textured wavy or loosely curled hair, as great as the Miellé product can be, just a couple of drops are sufficient. What a difference it makes though when used in moderation, softens and protects against frizz. For those of us with curl types 2c to 3a haïr, it’s a holy grail.
Same here my hair is slowly coming back,I've been using it for 2 or 3 months now. I use it with Jamaican castor oil after acv rinse. I'm seeing baby hairs along the hairline.
I've used this product for months and have seen great results! She is right in saying that it is a very heavy oil for fine hair though. I use it as a pre-shampoo scalp treatment once a week. I rarely use it for the ends of my hair on a daily basis because of how heavy it is. However, I saw that Mielle has recently come out with the same oil but a "Light" version so I'm excited to try it! 😊
I mix a few drops of pure rosemary oil in my shampoo, wait five minutes, then rinse off for two months now, and I’m surprised to say that my shedding has reduced significantly, around three times less. Even though I don’t have androgenetic alopecia. I honestly didn’t have high expectations.
@@imawakemymindisalive13 yes, it has caffeine, rosemary, and biotin. I apply it to everything. It is a misconception that a conditioner is only for the ends, if it is lightweight and doesn't weigh the hair down whats the problem? Those expensive ingredients dont do much to the lengths, they work on the scalp. We have generational problem, ppl stopped using their brains and just copy others without questioning. Most ppl have no clue what a conditioner does or what it contains
I have curly hair and I use rosemary and peppermint oil on my scalp. They are cold pressed, organic, and both work for me 100%. I also detangle my hair with coconut oil. I have tried the Mielle but experienced an itchy scalp paired with increased hair loss. The brand of oil I use is called Allpa Botanicals. Their oil is already mixed with a carrier blend. 👍🏽
That is the brand of rosemary oil I tried also. I think, however, I was using a bit too much. I tried it for about 2 months and noticed a little improvement on one side of my head but not much improvement on the other. I probably didn't give it sufficient time. I plan on making rosemary water with fresh rosemary since I have a plant. Maybe I will be able to be more consistent with it since it won't give me a greasy feeling scalp. Btw, I also have curly hair. But it is now gray, and due to its texture change, is always in dire need of moisture. May I ask how you use the coconut oil for detangling? That may help my hair as well. Thanks!
I have organic cold pressed safflower oil and I applied 3% peppermint and 3% rosemary 🌿 oil each into it and massage it into my scalp every day. My hair grew an inch in a month.
This product does work. Saw peach fuzz all thru my scalp after 3 weeks. It does not contain DmDm Hydantoin like some other Mielle products. DmDm Hydantoin is a formaldehyde releaser that turned my 3c/4a hair to mush. So I would suggest you all avoid products with that. But yes, this product does work.
In Brazil we use a lot of rosemary oil in things for hair, not just with the focus of grow, but to make it stronger, against falls. Oh, I used castor oil in my eyebrows and it did grow. That blend seems amazing. It's a shame that there aren't many studies on many natural products that works. Excellent video!
@@bluemanno7901 No. Not at all. I have the Rosemary essencial oil here, because I do homemade soap, so I did a batch with mint and Rosemary essencials oils. I don't use directly on the scalp, because we can't use essencial oils this way. We always have to put on a vegetal oil base. My favorite for hair is coconut oil (we use a lot of coconut oil in the hair schedule here).
I use rosemary oil with jojoba oil as a carrier. I add five drops per ml. I mix it in a dropper bottle and use it weekly. I started out using it biweekly. I leave it on my scalp for about 2 hours, then wash, condition, and style. It has definitely improved the texture of my fine hair. It has reduced breakage and I’ve experienced obvious hair growth. I’ve used it for a year and have been pleased with the results.
@@bluemethbunny I have fine hair and it works great for me. I apply this to my scalp, although some gets in the hair. It washes out and leaves my hair shiny and strong, it has made a huge improvement. I did this to strengthen my scalp and fine hair which was brittle and breaking after a covid booster shot. I lost a bunch of hair.
@@shgd1565 no. Black ppl tend to re oil our hair every few days as the hair eats up the oil. For me I have to oil my hair and grease it two times a week . Rinsing it out will take away it’s purpose
I've used rosemary and lavender essential oil in aloe vera gel, at night, for years and has not only created hair growth but also decreased my gray hairs so definitely works 💯
Good to hear.I mix a several drops of rosemary oil with aloe Vera gel and use it after I wash my hair as a "setting gel" so to speak...I might just add some lavender as I do love the smell.
Another major issue with the rosemary oil vs minoxidil 2% study was the lack of a negative or vehicle control to compare how the treatments stack up against no treatment.
I started using the Mielle way before it went viral. Actually my sister told me about it. And I've been using it already for about 3 months. Mostly in the front of my forehead as well as my scalp and I did notice a big difference. I have a lot of baby hairs on the side where it was falling out because of stress. So it does work or at least for me. And it's a very nice product and the smell doesn't bother me because I like the smell of mint
I love the smell of it and have used it on my entire hair length but I saw no real results. But I have been seeing a difference with the ordinary’s hair serum.
I actually didn't realize that this product went viral. I've been using it for about 6 months now and love it. I feel it has really helped my hair and made it look more healthy. You need to use it for a while religiously before seeing results
@@chaank1069 At first I was using it everyday putting it in my hair at night for about 4 months. Now I only use it a few times a week but that's mainly because I just don't feel like having product in my hair at night all the time
There has been so many mixed reviews on this product, I have actually shelved mine. I would love for you to critique one of the negative reviews. I’m an African American woman with natural hair and there’s so many over-hyped products out there.
This has helped a lot to grow my fine straight hair. It is indeed viscose, so I use this as a weekly wash-off scalp treatment instead. I keep it on for sometimes up to 8 hours but I always make it a point to wash it out by the end of the day (I don't sleep with any product in my hair). Ever since I incorporated it into my hair routine a few months ago, I've definitely noticed more baby hairs and less hair fall.
Also have to remember that this product is really geared towards ethnic hair, or more dry and brittle hair, Which definitely reflects why fine hair is weighed down. This is best used pre-wash for finer hair.
It can be used as a leave in for finer hair too but you want to just put 1-2 drops onto your fingertips and rub together first. Then you can massage it into your scalp and get a little moisture without weighing your hair down. I’ve used it for a few years and this is how I put it in after I wash my hair. I used to get really dry scalp and this fixed it. I wouldn’t do this if you don’t have dry scalp though.
*everyone* has an ethnicity so everyone is ethnic. say what you actually mean when you say “ethnic” - afro or black or african-american hair OR highly textured hair (vs. white or asian or caucasian people hair).
I boil 100% rosemary essential oil in water (approximately 1 1/2 droppers of oil per 2 cups of water) to make a rosemary water spray, apply it to my roots when I wake up before styling my hair. My baby hairs are out of control now lol
I am using this post-chemo to help with regrowth (minoxidil was irritating). It is soothing and although my hair/scalp is very oily after using it, I sleep with it and wash it out in the morning and it's great. It feels wonderful and my hair and scalp seem to really like it.
I hope your health continues to flourish. Thanks for the update on minoxidil. I considered using it for three months or so. I know you stop it’s stops. As much as I try to avoid chemicals for beauty Latisse, minoxidil, and tretinoin have my vote.
@@filmgirl14 as a licensed dermatologist with many years of education and practical experience, how is Dr. Dray not qualified to speak on all things skin and hair? That is exactly what dermatologists treat.
@@DrDrayzday With regards, can use this oil while I am using minoxidil please and thank 🙏🇨🇦 Great information thank you so much for your time and your efforts
@@DrDrayzday I’m just wondering I have medium thickness hair so putting oil on isn’t the greatest if I do rosemary water every day like I boil, rosemary and mint is that good? Does that have benefits to help with hair growth?
Hi Dr Dre? love your channel. My hair was ruined after 3 years of hair extensions. It took a year, but rosemary oil, egg masks, hair masks, scalp massage and scalp scrubs have restored my hair and thickened it. It’s a long road, ladies. Good Luck!
Yes that Mielle oil is AMAZING!!! I get it at Walgreens. I lost 50% of my hair due to hair die accident. Ive used it for Five months now and my hair is growing back steadily. Plus Biotin and Iron pills. I take pictures every wash and see the difference. I wish I knew about it before. Its super thick so a little goes along way. I have half black and half mexican hair. It creates a perfect atmosphere for new hair growth. Use Too much and your hair will be greasy. Use sparingly.
I feel like hair oiling has helped with my hair, but I also felt rosemary water was better and the safer option... rosemary oil was hard on my baby hairs and would pull them out.
At first I was skeptical about it. But I had no other better option available to try for my masssive hairloss and bad scalp health. Yet I gave it a try and I started using rosemary water and I was consistent for about 1.5 months and then winter came and I stopped. But again I have started applying rosemary water along with 4-5 mins scalp massage and OMG I can see baby hairs ☺️ Soon I will start with rosemary oil too 👏
@@janicewalker477 well, I make my own rosemary water. I had bought dried rosemary leaves from amazon, took 2-3 tbsp of that with 500ml water and then let it simmer for 15-20 mins. And after it cools down I pour it in a spray bottle and I try to use it twice/day. Scalp massage is really important and a game Changer for me becoz my pcos caused me heavyyy hairloss and now I see baby hairs along my hairline, I am so happy. Prepare this weekly and I don’t use it on my shampoo day because it makes it look a little dirty or say greasy.
@@angelamelum4304 Making it. And Circular Scalp massage really helpful, you can try it. But I think I really have to be consistent to see actual visible results. Patience is the key🤔
Apparently Mielle changed the formula of the oil which pissed off lots of faithful customers. So I switched to Yari. This oil is also heavy on the hair so I will continue to use it as a pre wash. I do wash with the Mielle shampoo and conditioner though. 👍🏻
I have fine curly hair, not super dense but a decent amount of it - maybe a lighter medium density and I use this oil as a scalp massage oil before clarifying and it has definitely helped grow my hair, especially in the balding areas at the temples. I will say the ordinary scalp density serum and the bondi boost hair growth sprays (intense spray and procapil tonic) have been better and given me quicker results, but they aren’t oils
Bondi Boost increased my hair fall and shedding, especially after I stopped using it. The shed was insane. I used it for 4-5 months and never saw regrowth.
I’m black with curly hair but my strands are fine and this is very oily BUT it definitely made my hair GROW! I think it keeps the follicles in the growth phase longer !
It works on my type 4c hair- very much so! So does castor oil- actually heavier oils work better for me ie olive oil as well. Coconut oil not a fave of mine. Each to their own. Its good to have all the facts and it's nice how you take the time to give us the research stats as well. But everyone is unique and what works for one person may not work for the next person.
Just leaving you some love to say the same thing I always say: thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us and treating your audience like we are your equals and friends. Love the shopping videos the most 🤷♀️
I've been trying this hair growth serum of reactivate littleexttrra for quite a while now and feeling good with the results I have got with it... it's my third serum bottle now. This one has to be applied to the scalp so it works like magic to a dry scalp. I use it usually before bed time and just massage it well into my hair....and cleanse it the next morning. I have seen hair growth and enhancement in my hair density.
Me and my friend also use the same reactivate hair growth serum... so far it is showing good results for hair growth.. it has only been 1 month.. I am sure I will see even better hair growth next month.
i m amazed with the results in hair growth i have gotten with reactiivate serum and this cooconion shampoo. i’ve tried many other products before, but none worked like reactivaate and cocooniion
I’ve been applying Mielle Rosemary Oil to my scalp daily (no diluting it) for 20 days. I don’t rinse it out until I shampoo (with Etaderm) the next day. The rosemary oil has completely eliminated the dermatitis that I had from using Minoxidil. Whether the oil is actually stimulating new hair growth, my answer is maybe, but it’s really too soon to tell.
Thank you, Dr. Dray! I started using Rosemary oil on the recommendation of my Iranian friend, who swears that this is the only option for Iranian women. I used it around my face where I noticed breakage and it worked! It might be because I was more gentle, but it did work after a few months.
I'm using rosemary essential oil mixed in with my shampoo, I leave it on for 5 minutes, rinse, shampoo again, rinse, condition. About 8 months. I'm seeing lots of hair growth in the areas that were receding and thinning in front. I think it can work, but consistency is required.
You are looking especially beautiful these days: skin, hair and minimal makeup. Personally, I love Mielle shampoo and have been using your suggestion for long hair care: shampoo the roots and condition the lengths with minimal heat treatments (have fine hair) and it's very effective so far. So very effusive thank you!!!! Thanks for the tip about the scalp treatment by them. Haven't tried that because of fine hair issues. Just knew that it would be too heavy for me but the other products are on my list to try. Just use one pump of the Mielle Rosemary Mint Shampoo, rub in hands and then equally distribute (or try to the best of ability) seems to be enough for a fine-haired long head of hair. You are so great with your hair, skin aond product usage advice. My dermatologist was so happy with my skin on my last yearly skin-check that it made my whole mood!
I began using Organic Rosemary oil 3 months ago and I mix it with Organic Coconut Oil. I have new growth in the front of my forehead and on the side. I will continue using it because it does work you just have to be consistent. If you use it once a week you will not notice the growth so what I do is twice a week and on the weekend I grab my dropper and I put straight on my scalp and then massage my scalp. You will definitely see the growth.
I love Mielle Organics, especially the Rosemary & Mint collection. The shampoo, deep conditioner, leave in, and oil are all great products. I do have long, curly, medium density hair.
For the past couple years of I have been using pure Organic Rosemary oil on my hair after I started losing lots of hair recovering from grieving. Rosemary oil genuinely works for me, it took a while but my hair is now thicker than it was before. I mix a few drops of Organic Rosemary oil in my conditioner, rub it through my scalp then rinse it out. I started using it twice a week, and am now down to once a week. It works, but be sensitive to how your own scalp reacts.
I have fine color treated hair, and I use it as a pre wash oil on my scalp. I leave it in overnight before my wash day. I double cleanse my hair with a clarifying and volumizing shampoo and I find it washes out just fine and doesn’t leave my hair greasy or weighed down 😊 As always, thanks for your science based review!
It worked for me. I used it on 2 spots and my hair grew back. It was way cheaper than and more effective than Minoxidil. Minoxidil did nothing for me. No new growth.
It’s important to know the target market for haircare brands. All hair is not the same. I have textured hair (4c). Products like this are designed for my hair. Not to say other people can’t use it they just need to be aware that it was not designed for their hair.
Mielle is a African American hair care line, the products are too heavy for straight fabrics of hair. For those of us with textured hair, we care for our hair differently, and most of us use either LOC,or LCO, oils and creams are needed because the scalp oils dont travel down coils and kinks the same as with straight hair. Straight fabrics of hair do not need any heavy oils.
I've been using Rosemary oil for about 6 months and am starting to see results on my hair, it really works, you need to be consistent and don't use it directly, mix it with carrier oil.
Hi doctor ! What about rosemary WATER , it went viral too as a hair growth recipe promising the same things as rosemary oil , you boil rosemary leafs in water , let it cool, and apply it to the hair! Can you make a video about rosemary water? And the difference in terms of results when it comes to rosemary OIL vs rosemary WATER , how to make it correctly, and how it should be applied/frequency etc etc Thank you ! Sending all my support! ❤️
B12 injections grew my naked mole rat lashes back and I think it’s helping my scalp hair but I can’t tell yet . Definitely getting the lashes back tho - and it’s obvious, they’ve been so sad since I got lash extensions like 5 years ago . Now they look different finally after 5 years of wishing hoping praying and castor oil . Nothing has made them budge except the B12 shots .
i have been using Aromatica Rosemary line (shampoo and treatment) for over 6 mths now and i have noticed that i have grown a lot of baby hair and also my roots are stronger and i actually can see papilla again on my hair roots. it also calmed my scalp. in the first place i was using this shampoo because i had a persistent case of folliculitis and this shampoo was able to stop it and gave me relief. only had 1 mild flare up in the past 6 mths or so
I’ve been using Moeller for over six months now and love it. I use it differently than most though. I will massage a whole dropper full onto my scalp, braid my hair, then work out for a couple of hours. I wash it out after. I do this every other day pre workout. My hair has thickened, my hair brush barely has any hair in it, and overall my hair feels stronger. I love this product so much that I’m on a subscription now.
This product works! I've been using a short time but see results already. Hair is softer and less is coming out when brushed! I'm excited! Best product for me yet!
I've seen reviews by Black women complaining of many problems with this brand since it was bought out & formula changed to appeal to Caucasian women with straighter hair.
Yes As a black women is very frustrating when you find a brand that works for you, and then they turn around and change their formula to appeal to caucasians…it feels like a betrayal every time
i have mediterranean blood and have been using rosemary oil and water in my hair for a long time- it works very well from my experience!i took a break from using it but after giving birth/breast feeding i started again to help gain back some density. it’s best to have a big rosemary plant in your own yard if possible or atleast buy organic. i also add a couple whole cloves! definitely recommend to all to at least give a try ♥️
@Nawrooz yes of course! i grow it in my garden and i trim off a bunch of pieces to get a big handful of rosemary. then, on very very low heat i put it in a saucepan full of filtered water and leave it for usually 40 ish mins. you can also add a couple whole cloves if you want. then i turn off the heat and leave it to sit for a few hours and transfer into a spray bottle. i keep it in the fridge for up to a week, maybe a week and a half tops. i spray my scalp with it and massage with my hands or scalp brush. it’s important to keep it in, don’t rinse out. that’s why i prefer rosemary water over oil but i’ve used oil as well as a pre shampoo treatment. oh, also i like to keep one sprig of rosemary in the bottle in the fridge to keep infusing the water. 👍🏼
@@youareinbarbados2578 Rosemary grows all over the place in Mediterranean countries. When I lived in Israel and Cyprus, I would pass lots of rosemary growing by the sidewalk every day, and it was no trouble to just cut a handful of sprigs on the way home if I wanted some. The climate and soil around the Med tends to be perfect for rosemary naturally. Lavender as well.
Rosemary oil and water have been used for generations for growing and also darkening hair (water mostly) I use the oil the day I have to wash my hair First I brush my hair then I put it on my hands warm it up a little before put it in my scalp with gentle massage and then I cover my head with an old shirt that I use for this purpose and let it sit for about 3 hours or more if possible, when is time to rinse it I mix some instant coffee (Nescafé) with my shampoo, massage a little more and rinse, the coffee helps me remove the oil easier so you don’t have to use tons of shampoo, I love this brand I’ve tried other rosemary oils and either don’t smell like rosemary or are way to occlusive that pulls your hair.
The article you cite at 1:35 has methodological problems including data duplication that makes it a nearly worthless in trying to make any determination about the effect of rosemary oil for scalp hair growth.
My blood pressure went up to 215/214 after using this oil. When I looked it up rosemary raises blood pressure. So if you already have high BP I would advise not to use it
This stuff is awesome! I have been using it for a couple of months. I honestly don't know what my hair loss was really due to- trauma, stress, hormonal. I also use tea tree oil in my shampoo (Redken volume injection along with the conditioner) also. One important thing on the top of the list is you have to be eating well also. I know it's hard, believe me. Even if you can make sure you are getting a salad a day (the darkest greens are the best like spinach). I usually eat 2 a day. And water. Water, water, water. Also, vitamins! If anyone has any questions, I would love to help. Hair loss can be devastating. Especially when you have lost pregnancies and also your father...it can seem too unfair! Also, one thing not a lot of people are specific about... my hair loss was in the middle of my scalp and also the frontal part. Best wishes to everyone.
@@the_lily_rose I have finer hair and always have. It use to be so oily and I stopped washing it as much and eating better, it stopped being that way. I know it doesn't make sense, but by washing it less, I gave it time to breath and do it's own natural thing. I really recommend the blowout professor. I learned so much from him. He recommended the shampoo I use and also shampooing twice in the one shampooing session. It cleans the scalp so much better. I think adding tea tree oil also helped. Tea tree has so many amazing properties. It got rid of my dandruff. Not crazy about the smell, lol but it works and also anti fungal.

@@mahamshehzad991 I'm sorry you're going through that. I am being honest in my comment. It really has worked for me. I would recommend it to people, but you also have to make sure you are tking care of what's going on inside. You may want to seek advice from a doctor. I was told I was very deficient in folate. So, now I incorporate it in my everyday meals. If you do decide to try it, results can take up to 6 months to see. For me it has only been a couple of months already seeing a change.
My son 27 has a small patch with less hair, we used coconut oil bevause it helped with my bold patches after scslp psoriassis, but did not see any result with him. So we started Weleda rosemary oil few months ago, once a day every other day, not everyday and actually it helped, the patch got smaller and hair is denser in that patch, area. So I don't know if placebo or what, but rubbing rosemary oil, it gave good result. PS he took biotin supplement as well, for a few months.
I make my own rosemary tincture with green tea, rosemary, peppermint and cedarwood essential oils. I tried the Mielle, way too heavy for my fine hair, okay for a pre-poo treatment. I tried minoxidil, left my hair greasy and was unable to go three days in between washes. With my tincture, I can use it a few times a week, it leaves no oiliness and I have experienced regrowth.
I've read buying some fresh rosemary at the grocery store and making your own rosemary water is more effective, especially without boiling it. It's water so it's not super oily and won't weigh hair down and is very cheap. I don't know how true. I won't use this though, because everytime I tried using coconut oil I lost a lot of hair and it actually became more brittle. Idk why.
Thank you for this report. I've heard that minoxidil is good for regrowing hair, but I've also read that if minoxidil use is stopped, any gains are lost and more hair that when minoxidil was started (so the user looks worse than when they first began). I've used red onion to recover some lost hair, which also works, but they aren't available all year so I'm looking for alternatives.
I have used Rosemary oil with a carrier oil 2 x week before I shampoo, I leave it on from an hour to two hours as a deep conditioner, I then massage my scalp my shedding has completely stopped. I have been doing this for over a year.. trust me I had tried everything, this is the only thing that has worked, no more hair in my shower, or on my brush
@@melperez9940 I took fresh rosemary sprigs that you can buy at the market , I put it in a pan and boiled it for about 10 minutes until I got a really nice dark color when it was done I transferred it to a mason jar sifting out the rosemary, put it in the fridge transferred to a spray bottle and I used it on my scalp for 30 minutes before showering some people spray it on and leave it on after the shower so it’s really about individual preference for me at work before my shower and it really grew back my hair. I was bald at the temples and within 2 to 3 weeks my hair was back.
Dr.Dray I love this oil! I have fine thin hair not a-lot either I feel like it helps me. I see my hair is growing more in length faster than before. I use a lot of droplets too maybe 6 to 8 and massage. Works for me. But I do use a heat cap on top for 20 minutes. Never have no issues. One of my favorite. Washing out no problem either. I guess it’s different for everyone.
My husband and I add a few drops of rosemary oil to the shampoo in the palm of our hands and then lather and let it sit a minute or two. Not sure if it’s doing anything but….we will see! No irritation or itch! Thanks Dr Dray! ❤❤ Great information.
Few years ago I been using minoxidil 5% for 3 months, my hair stopped shedding and was growing very fast and tick but when I stopped to use minoxidil all my regrowing hair was shedding with double speed😅. So I finished my experiment and start to use Ayurvedic herbs. Mielle works very well, I have fine hair and I can’t use it every day because it’s really heavy oil but use it only night before my washing day.
@@juliemcdaniel499 they also sell it on Amazon but I've noticed some products from Amazon are watered down versions of real products that's why there's mixed reviews so it's just always better to buy in store 🙂
Dr Dray outdoing herself and posting every single day for like 2 months!! Realised we needed more no BS advice on the great range of beauty products out there ! Thank you I commend you Doc!
Rosemary is great for keeping lice away too! My children brought home lice this year. They use the rosemary lice shampoo amd conditioner and have had no problem since! Their hair also has been growing like crazy!
Well. My grandma was way ahead of this. She did my hair with "Romero" That's how is pronounced in Spanish. To do us her Grandkids hair. And it worked wonderful. She was a Wise woman. ❤
My hair is finer than yours and there is no way I could use oil as a leave-in. A couple of times a month I use it as a scalp treatment. I leave it on for 30-60 minutes before I wash my hair.
Try burdock oil, it is quite successful in treating hair damage, and the burdock root itself heals various types of cancer. It is also useful to wash your hair with a decoction of wormwood and chamomile.
Be extremely careful with Mielle Rosemary products. I used the oil and the shampoo O N C E and noticed a ton of hair fall out. I was able to see my SCALP! Went on target app and checked the reviews. Most were positive, but some people uploaded pictures of their hair falling out. I pray to God my hair regrows because it has become so much worse.
I see your comment is from 2months ago, so I wondering which version of Rosemary oil you used? are you referring to the new Light Rosemary oil that needs No other diluting oil? This is exactly my fear and why I don’t want to try minoxidil because of the initial shedding n hair loss after you stop using it!! Can’t believe they haven’t found a safe alternative to whats seems to be affecting 4 out 5 ppl?!?!?!!
I would say that it has helped with my hair repair/growth as well. But again there are a lot of factors as well, like genetics, diet etc. However, it did work for me as well as making other changes to my hair care routine, like co-washing, deep conditioning once a week and sleeping with a silk bonnet, I wake up with silky anti-frizz hair.
First, comparing a hair oil to Minoxidil is comparing apples to oranges. Hair oils nourish the scalp and give suppleness to the hair. Next, Mielle’s base is soybean oil, which is not a top grade oil for hair, so to me it is not a high grade hair product. The product is ok, but not the best product. For me I am continuing to go to Whole Foods and mixing organic natural oils for hair and skin. Using a base oil such as grape seed, avocado, almond, olive or jojoba oils.
Thanks again!🙏🏻 I really appreciate my rosemary oil hair treatments and have more new hairs ánd longer hair then I ever had. But it could be placebo, being more gentle with my hair or maybe the message that comes with it? I just look at it as a self care moment and am loving it!💕
@@rosanajackson4668 true! I learned “than” is for comparison and “then” is related to time, and because I was comparing my hair history with the now, I figured it was about time. But you’re right, it’s comparing. Thanks!
