You forgot one of, if not the most impressive stat. Luka is responsible for 57.2 PPG (points + points of assists). Highest in NBA history! Not even Wilt in his 50 PPG season could top that! Not Harden, not Westbrook, noone!

If you ask OKC Stan’s or Luka haters they’ll say he has .6 more steals a game and Luka doesn’t play defense. OKC never deserved a team in the first place. They are ignorant fans.
The mainstream media have help a grudge against Luka ever since he said "scoring in Europe is harder", the msm cleary define 'value' as someone who push the NBA brand and not critisise it. In a close race its all about who make them most $$$ . Thats why when the race card was played last year they had to change the winner to Embiid.
Facts, I've been saying this for a while now as well. If luka isnt the current MVP over Jokic it most certainly isnt SGA. It almost feels like there is a race element to it like last years Joel Embid MVP award. Luka is rarely talked about or praised for the numbers he puts up but if Joel or SGA put up numbers lower or less impressive than Luka they get a video or post made about them or even talked about on TV. What a joke.
Better case? Luka somehow dropped from 2nd to 3rd in MVP SGA who played two games moved to 2nd? Luka scored more, passed more, more efficient, and was player of the month. It’s just ignorant hate, I refuse to go race card but damn Kenny and SAS are making it hard. Just like last year, race should have nothing to do with it.
@@aydencooper2464 in general i agree with you, SGA feels like a "league plant" in the discussion. but i wouldnt say giannis is in the convo for MVP this year. the bucks are underwhelming for their insane roster, and he as team leader still hasnt managed to glue them together. i mean, his stats look "giannis" as usual, but i feel part of being the MVP is also leading your team, and when i watch the bucks, its just a string of ego possessions.
Bruh… SGA leads Luka in only steals (Luka is 7th) and FT percentage (Luka gets to line more). Every other major statistical category Luka DOMINATES Shai. There is not one GM that would select Shai over Luka (or Jokic) today… NOT ONE. Luka’s team has been plagued with injuries with most injuries of any playoff team. Fact Shai is on TEAM that’s first in West is also dependent on relative health and consistency of players. If we are going to consider record as the distinguishing factor then Celtics who have 10 wins more than any other team in NBA are that team so if that’s your criteria then it’s Tatum. And I’d say no one would pick Tatum over Luka and frankly doubt many would pick Shai over Tatum or Giannis or Embiid or LBJ or Durant. Hes not a generational player… end of story. Hearing Stephen A and Shaq stupidly cite fact that SGA has most 30 point games is just f’ng stupid and know there’s an ulterior motive behind it… leave it at that. His basketball IQ is on a whole different level than Shai. He punishes and counters any defensive strategy. We haven’t seen a better passer since Magic…. Making passes that defy logic … only Jokic is on his level. If Halliburton was the scorer Luka was he wouldn’t have nearly the number of assists. To even compare Shai to Luka is laughable. Worse than comparing Drexler to MJ.
It’s like cnn and fox, they’ll say what will get the most views not what’s actually true. Just watch the games and enjoy greatness. I wouldn’t stress about all these drama farmers.

No other Mavs lineup has even reached 100 minutes together. Thats everything you need to know. Dallas was basically injured for 3 months and had to constantly change the starters and rotations. If one guy came back from an injury, another one was out! For basically 3 months Luka had to play with 2-3 guys out, who also constantly changed. That Dallas is 24-7 since the team is (mostly) healthy should tell everyone what Luka can do with some stability around him.

Normally, the advance stats would help support this argument, against the media SGA is notably better than Luka there. Additionally he led the youngest team in NBA history to the no. 1 seed in the WC, he's the second best perimeter defending guard at the most competitive position; while, Luka played with most skilled offensive player in the NBA.
Luka clears easily. In a sane world the people who vote for MVP wouldn’t be the ones that are. SAS literally didn’t know the players on his favorite teams roster and gets a vote. Most the voters have a major bias against Luka.
Didn't you see how he locked up Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Harden and others, Luka as a primary defender 2 - 17 FG, and contesting a shot 0 - 11 FG, so never said never.

Who out of the MVPs has the most games played? Leads in efficiency? Has the most deflections? Raises teammates skill levels? Who has the best value over replacement? It’s all Jokić and ya’ll just looking for ways to diminish his game. Jokic is a plus defender and casual fans aren’t aware of his steals, blocks, deflections,kicked balls, defensive box plus minus all demonstrably better than Luka…Shai is a scorer however he’s not even close to Luka’s ability in the majority of stat categories…. Nah … Jokićis the 4 time MVP and anyone without an agenda knows it….
If Jokic not MVP but he is Luka is next SGA is out of talk if you ask me where he was all year some players play last 3 months awesome and people forget what was and how play all year

He's on a higher level than Bird in terms of skills. I don't think he will accomplish as much though. Doubt Luka'll have the luxury to play with a starting lineup full of hall of famers
Its not necessarily the numbers that has SGA in contention over Luka & Jokic for MVP. As stated by several analysts, the Thunder is the youngest team in the NBA with no other all-star & ranked first in the league. SGA, who's offensive game is not oriented near the 3 point line as a guard, has the better defense than Luka & Jokic. Further more, The Thunder has the season winning record over the Mavs & Nugs this year. If we are putting Jokic Luka over SGA, then we need to consider that there more NBA considered with individual stats & highlights, over true overall skill & team impact.
Are you saying SGA has more skill and impact than Luka and Jokic because the Thunder have 7 more wins than the Mavs with WAY less injuries, WAY better coach and a deeper roster for the entire season than the Mavs and with the SAME record as the nugs just with the tie breaker so they get 1st? Nugs missed Jamal 25 games and Mavs missed kyrie 25 games, Thunders starting lineup has played 6x the minutes than the Mavs starting lineup Thunder legit almost had perfect health all season other than like 8 games of hobbled Shai where his play severely fell off.
also should add that Luka like 100% more doubled teamed then SGA , so if SGA would be doubled teamed as much as Luka he would probably be 23points player

NBA desperately needs replacement for lebron ...... all best players right now are foreign ! ..... so to try keep the domestic fans hyped up , there must be a homeboy even if forced .... first it was JA but he was too loose .... then it was zion , but injurys kept him from becoming the face ..... and thats whats happening :D ..... shay is not better than luka - with all due respect !!!!! ..... embiid was not better than joker last year , but they gave him mvp (oh yes and his best performance in playoffs is conference semifinals - luka got at least to finals :D but still not good enough ) - so this year they want to compensate joker which would have been ok if luka didn t have a season for history books !!!!!!!!!!!
MVP = Most Valuable Player. This is a different team Luka has right now if he got this early in the season with the current winrate they gonna be topping the rankings. Give SGA the MVP and let's just watch the playoffs on who will crumble and see who the real MVP is.
@@tadaskalanta9733 luka has the second most turnovers in the league. When Russ averaged a triple double he wasn’t top 5 and had a better win percentage when he had a triple double.
@@deancoleman6098 OKC that season only won 47 games so not better wins % at all. Reason for turnovers is that Luka passing the ball way more then other players and he is way more doubled teamed then other players too, Westbrook was not a playmaker but he was athletic monster his MVP season. If players like Hardaway or Kleber would make they shots more ofter Lukas assist average would be way better too, Many times this season Mavs players used to miss they 3s Mavs did not have good shooters around Luka.
