Not if you can afford the 12. I think there still running their trade in deal as well. So if you were going to get the 11 the trade in program should get you into a 12 no problem

@@Topd-eb7qv it's a great phone with a few quirks. The curved screen makes it hard to install screen protectors so I went with liquid glass, the notification tray isn't extremely user friendly as you can drag to scroll BETWEEN 2 notifications, and it acts as if you're trying to swipe out of notifications, and my least favorite thing, there's an x at the bottom of the notification tray and if you accidentally press it, your current notifications are gone for good. It runs great, I love the screen and camera, I love gaming on it and I enjoy the battery life above all but it could be a bit more user friendly when it comes to the above list. Oh and one more con, I often find myself tapping on a notification to open a message and some apps (like FB Messenger) often don't do that. You have to open the app manually. Hope OnePlus fixes these things but regardless, it's a great phone otherwise and I'm glad I bought it for performance and battery life in particular

I'm glad someone still care about this. Most people just go along with what phone manufacturers gave them. This deserved a comeback.

Absolutely. Got mine about 2 months ago and it's really awesome. And although it has last year's Snapdragon chip it's still crazy fast and can handle anything you throw at it. It has a gorgeous screen that goes super bright. Battery life is also amazing and the fast charging is the icing on the cake. 2 biggest downsides compared to the regular 12 is the absence of wireless charging and a set of cameras that are not as good. Don't get me wrong, the 12R still has a very good main camera which will let you take awesome photos, but the secondary cameras are much better on the regular 12. So, if you can live without wireless charging (and why wouldn't you when 15 minutes wired charging gives you more than enough for a full day) and don't want to spend an extra 300 for some better cameras which you may or may not use, this could be the one for you. The 12R gives you more bang for your buck and is a real flagship killer.

The point of a flagship killer is not to be exactly on par with the other flagships, but rather to to provide a very slightly less "premium" experience by cutting off a little bit of somewhere, and all that at a significantly lower price. And OnePlus do this and they've always done this. I've always seen them as pre-flagship tier. In this case, it may be the camera which receives some cuts, and it is of course better in the Samsung. Does this mean that OnePlus's camera is bad? Absolutely not! It still produces awesome results! And besides, it you want world class photos, just buy a real camera already. But besides the camera, the OnePlus pretty much holds up, SPECIALLY in performance! Sorry for my yapping session 😅
