this animation was done by my student: Maximiliano Traeger
One of the thing that I immediately teach to all my student is to make sure that your animation look good from every angle and not just from your cinematic camera
in this video I explain the reason behind this

And it helps so much that your poses makes sense in 3D for the interpolations. I wasted so many hours trying to make broken poses work on shots ahah

I had this habit of focusing on just one angle and I had to do extra work the second I chose a camera angle more appealing. Would have saved me a lot of time if I'd consider every angles at the start when doing my blocking! Fantastic tip as always :D

This especially matters since I want to be a gameplay animator.

That's a very interesting tip. If you think about live action, naturally the movement will look correct from whatever angle you shoot from, but then there are special shots where the actor cheats the pose, positions their body awkwardly, and things are framed for the camera. Animation could be the same way, in general the movement is correct from every angle, but then there might be certain shots where you need to cheat to get the desired look from that specific angle. As with anything else, in animation the key is to have as many tricks your bag as you can, to use the right one at the right time.
