Just had our poor 8 year young dog Abraham put down. It was as painful as it get to watch our baby boy slip away. We are so lost. God Bless all of you who are experiencing this for your loved animal. Please give them Extra hugs for sure.

I lost my Beagle girl recently, she was diagnosed with a bladder tumor 26 months ago. The dr said it was “probably” TCC as the vast majority of bladder tumors are. I was never 100% sure but knew we would not do surgery due to her age/heart condition/location of the tumor…. She had the best two years post diagnosis. She actually perked up I think because she was feeling better due to daily piroxicam, daily turmeric anti inflammatory, daily mushroom/turkey tail and cranberry/d-mannose supplements. She was rolling in the grass, bouncing around the house, going in the bay, eating fairly well, until her final week. I guess I just hope that someone reads this and considers supplements as well vs chemo and harsh meds. TWENTY SIX months post diagnosis (she likely Had it months earlier but was being treated for UTI over and over due to blood in her urine) - our dr called her a miracle. I miss her tremendously but I’m so grateful that she beat the odds and gave us so much more time.❤

Hi I am so sorry for your loss but your doggy sound like she lived her best life in the time she had left! My dog is going through a similar situation now and I was wondering what supplements did you use exactly? Do you still have the name of the brand? And did the vet prescribe the turmeric anti inflammatory or did you buy it online?

My poor boy was just diagnosed, but my vet said “ they don’t do chemo’”. I’m truly devastated. 😢 he is in tomorrow for a tube urethra investigation. 😢😊

Thank you. MyCavachon, Mitzi,13, was just diagnosed. On the chemo pills. Invading slightly at bottom wall of the bladder. Not near the plumbing yet. Surgeon would do it if I wish but would not be able to get it all. Just hearing your information puts my mind at ease because it’s pretty consistent with my vets treatment. 😅I’m having a lot of anxiety about not wanting her to be in pain. Watching her constantly. She just started getting little tremors in her head and legs that last a few seconds. She also has a 3 to 4 heart murmur. I subscribed. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Just wondering how you feel about the intervenous chemo versus the chemo pills?

Thank you very much for the this video. My dog was just given a bladder cancer prognosis and I'm a bit overwhelmed. The tumor is located in a spot that's good for a successful operation.

Surgery was successful and he goes for his second chemo treatment in a couple weeks. He is tolerating it well.

@@davidhorkey5157 hey how’s it going my dog has a tumor in his bladder as well and it’s preventing him from peeing. Did this happen to your dog? Was his cancerous ? Im stressing out waiting for these results and trying to figure out what to do. How did your dog react to the chemo ? I have so many questions.

@@shaheer.m2661 so my dog had surgery and the tumor was still small and not located close to the spot in the bladder where the urine flows in or out. He's on his 5th chemo treatment and doing very well. Did the Dr recommend surgery for your pet?

@@davidhorkey5157 no we haven’t gotten to that point yet. So was your dogs malignant? Or benign. I am waiting for the results but he has a hard time urinating but is acting perfectly fine like nothing has ever happened

@@shaheer.m2661 so the tumor tested cancerous. He ended up being a very good candidate for surgery. He didn't need radiation treatments because of the size and surgery. The only way I knew he had an issue is because I saw blood in his urine

First, i'd like to thank you for taking the time to produce all these wonderful and educational resources for all the pet-parents out there! On average, how soon do you expect an improvement of clinical symptoms with systemic chemo vs. metronomic tx vs. targeted therapy (i.e. lapatanib)? Also, typically how often is therapeutic monitoring with BRAF performed during treatment? Thank you!

@@deniseredding6382 when we first found out he had constant urination/ struggling to pee and bloody/cloudy urine but we thought it was a UTI. After several blood tests and urinalysis, he was prescribed anti inflammatory and antibiotics. Luckily, symptoms have stopped (assuming because his trigone is not as inflamed anymore. We are not going to do any treatment, we just want him to live his happy life until he no longer can’t on his own 🙏🏽❤️ good luck with your doggy, 🥺

Thank you for this Dr Sue, our 11 yr old pugalier Suki just got diagnosed with early stage TCC and we've commenced previcox and intend to proceed with IV chemo. We're also planning a course of definitive radiation - is this something you have any information about? Rochelle

My 16 year old male Lhasa has bladder cancer. We found it very early and he’s in his 15th month of treatment with Newtown Vet Specialists in Ct. How long have you seen a dog live with bladder cancer? My little guy very stable & disease controlled on chlorambucil.

Is it normal for a dogs first dose of Vincristine to have no obvious effects? It’s now more than 48 hrs since his first treatment and he hasn’t needed cerenia and has no obvious issues otherwise.

Vinblastine is typically used for bladder TCC(not vincristine) and in some cases it can take a few treatments to see a response, especially considering the severity of the case. Please talk directly to your oncologist/vet with concerns as they are familiar with your dog. Good luck!

@@DrSueCancerVet Thank you Dr Sue. His stains came back yesterday as T-cell lymphoma. Changes our plan and outlook drastically. Hoping for the best.

@@Leopoldian Oh youu were talking about lymphoma. Since you comment on the bladder cancer vlog I thought you were asking about this cancer. Lymphoma is different. I just took my miniature schnauzer in for a UTI the other day and they found some sort of mass blocking her bladder I don’t know where but what are the chances that it’s cancer.

@@mmmarlee hello. My dog was diagnosed at the beginning of the year. She is still going quite strong but we have decided at age 18 that she can now rest in peace. I hope you have a better outcome with yours
