This tutorial was posted 8 years ago! I am soooo very glad that I found you! Excellent tutorial! Nancy Wilson plays this with astounding ease...as do you! AND your Collins sounds incredibly warm yet bright. I love it. Thank you! Going to check out more of your tutorial videos, after I've gotten considerably more proficient with Dog and Butterfly.
You're the best. Really - just the best. Thank you for this one. You always knock me out. And thank you for being such a great instructor. You seem to know when to repeat things and when to move it along....a real talent.
Thx ToneDr, I've been playing electric all my life and have just gotten into acoustic playing. It's like learning a whole new language. Thank you for assisting me in playing this song the way it was intended, the way Nancy plays it.
Another great tutorial. When I can't figure it out on my own,I check your channel and " Voila " you've covered the song. Thanks for posting and great tone on the Collings!
Hey Dale. God has blessed you with a gift. Not only are you a fine musician you're also a great teacher. For those of us at this level of ability your method is most helpful. Technology is your friend and ours. I've taken other lessons from you. Please don't stop helping us.
Hey Dale. Wow, what an excellent tutorial! Everything about it speaks to my learning style, so I feel like I can really nail this amazing tune. Thanks so much for taking the time and energy to produce and share this with the world!
Steve Nunley hey Steve...really appreciate you giving your time to check this out and thanks for the very kind post - hope you enjoy playing it and all the best with your music! dale
Wow -- huge Heart fan, I used to have crazy on you down back in the day (then I pretty much stopped playing guitar for about a decade). Now I'm determined to learn one of my all time favorites. This helps a lot with all the nuances -- thanks!
hello Erin...really appreciate the post and so glad to here you are picking the guitar back up! I wish you the best and let me know if i can ever help in any way, dale.
I love your lessons! My only wish, which I completely understand is probably a very big ask, is that you would picture the chords on your videos. I really do appreciate all you do to put this out there and you are amazing at describing where you're placing your fingers but I have difficulty seeing your fingers and am more of a visual learner.
I really like your tutorial. What would really make me really love it is if you would (even if you can't sing) SAY the lyrics as you teach. There are so many intricacies to this song. That would help tremendously!
@@tonedr ... thanks so much for your positive response! And also, the picking pattern parts (especially in the beginning where she sings no, no, no, child), if you could do that in slow motion, that would be the ultimate lesson! Thanks again for your excellent tutorial!!!
Absolutely so happy to find this...can you tell me what the order is of the picking pattern is on those 2 b chords towards the end of the verse...the first one where you use ur pinkyon 5th fret b string? and then the b2 chord following? Thank you sooo much.
Fantastic tutorial! You don't by any chance have the licks for this one tabbed out? l've watched the vid a couple dozen times and can't figure them all out.
l started playing about 8 months ago, this lesson is the most complex one I've attempted to tackle. A few grips which are difficult to achieve. You play this beautifully.
l guess the thing l'm most curious about is how much pressure you're applying when barring with your ring finger or pinkie? l suspect l've gotten in the habit of using too much pressure, but even remaining cognizant of fret position, if l ease off a bit, l end up with buzz or muted strings.
