Groomers are closed for COVID. I recently had to groom our new adoptee. I had no idea how. This helped me get her cleaned up! It’s not the best - but she is healthy, sanitary, and comfortable until we can take her to a professional.
Now this makes me so happy! I am beyond thrilled that my little video was able to help you at least do the bare minimum to help your dog and to help you! Thank you so much for letting me know ❤️
I did your video verbatim for my chi Toby James, he looked amazing, I finally found your video again today! I’ll make sure to save it this time lol. ☀️ ❤️
This is actually a good idea w the drummel, my chi mix gets very anxious NOT AT ALL like this little princess who’s so damn adorable! I’ve never gone too low or drew blood & ive had him since a few weeks old. So I think he’s just anxious about the mail clipping noise. So he’d definitely gee anxious w a drummel noise. This lady is very detail oriented!
I have four Shih Tzu and a long haired pet Chihuahua, so I think I’m just over grooming! lol Especially since there’s so much more involved with grooming for show.
Ill be getting a yorkie in a month! She wont be for show but I would love if you could make a video on grooming them so I can get some amazing tips from it!
First, congratulations on your new addition! What an absolutely fun grade. Second, I’ll be sure to add this breed to my list! Thank you so much for the suggestion
Are you talking about the Air Forced dryer? Or are you talking about letting them air dry slightly before you dry them with the dryer? Either way my dogs are trained from an early age with an Air Forced dryer. It’s all about socialization honestly.
It’s true though, tiny dogs have to work very hard to keep their body temperature up because their ratio of surface area to volume is so high. They also have higher heart rates than bigger dogs.
I just got a Chihuahua about 7 months ago she is tiny way less than a lb in wight. But i am having trouble with hair in her eye and tear stains how to i trim the hair between and arround her eyes. Her coat isnt short bug not long. She was a rescue so im not even exactly sure what type of Chihuahua she is. Can u help please
Congratulations on your new addition! I personally have never had problems with hair getting into the eyes of my Chihuahuas. It sounds like she might be a mix. Can you describe the texture of her coat? Is it more wirey? I have used Angel Eyes and Starfire’s No Stain. I wouldn't cut the hairs around the eyes as they will just grow back in and possibly cause more troubles. I would try the stain removers I listed and see if that reduces the problem.
@@BestInShowBitch so after posting my comment i followed this vid. As far as around ears and feet and i trimmed around and between her eyes she looks 1000000% better. Thanku so much for this vid. I felt way more comfortable even thinking about bathing and grooming her. Before this vid i was sponge bathing her. Since she is still so tiny is there such thing as a mini teacup Chihuahua? Her hair is more corse almost curly. She has a smashed grimlin nose big Chihuahua ears. Cutest lil thing ive ever sew. And deffentily a blessing to my life. Her name is tabi....**** O AND THANKU FOR THE QUICK REPLY AND INFO. ***
*Tabitha Ralston* I am so beyond thrilled that the video was able to help you! They’re pretty resilient little guys. I’m going to assume she’s got some terrier in her. I would look into a slicker brush instead of a pin brush. There is a link below in the description. I’m so glad that we could help sweet Tabi, If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask! 😊
The before and after looks the same and i feel like you were a little rough with the dog u can technically stand the dog and do everything without pushing the dogs face 5:27 that was really unnecessary the dog was so happy to be in the cage away from you I didn’t see the dog be happy on the whole process this is a poor way to show how to bath a dog and i was looking in the internet for better ideas and this is the first thing it pop im no professional but this video should be removed the dog is sooo well behave it shouldn’t be push around like that im sure if u were getting ur haircut u dont want the person to threat u like that sorry but i had to say this when i saw this video
Yeah i was looking for a comment like this because i felt she was SO rough and with no love for the well behaved dog just for the show and money :( can’t understand that people are saying that she did great!
There is always one🙄. This chichi is fine. Its has been a show dog. These dogs are groomed like this from day dot . Its sitting so well because its a profferesional. Dogs that are pets normally are not groomed as often or with such attention to detail and they sometimes get very stressed at the grooming process. This a well cared for relaxed chichi. I would go as far to say it just looks bored little diva behaviour 🤣It's a spa day for it. The chihuahua doesn't bark, make a sound as if she is hurting it ,wince or pull away. If you watch groomers doing dogs faces they hold the dogs hair underneath the bottom lip like it's chin and move the head about that way it can look quite firm and hardh but its the non cruel safetist way to groom the dog. I know it's just your opinion but there are real bad things being done to animals and this is not one. It's good to learn which you were clearly doing but watch more . Comments abouts taking a video down iis really a wee bit rude if you don't have enough information dont pass judgement Just my opinion 😁
@@deborahmcmonagle1479Make that three. Groomer didn’t need to push the dog around so much and certainly didn’t need to have her hands around her neck with fingers pushing against it. The roughness was completely unnecessary.
@@deborahmcmonagle1479And…exactly - the dog was so calm, just as you said. So why the roughness? No needed. Groomer is a bit too confident and seemed to be showing off a little. Either that or she was in a dang hurry, especially when bathing.
Fyi Chihuahuas have very delicate tracheas so be careful when putting anything around their necks. I felt bad for her being cold and shaking in her crate, regardless. 😔
My thoughts exactly looked restricted. Chi left to shiver as an air dry process, an invitation to a chill or flu symptoms. Can't understand that one! On a cold rain winter here's hoping no more. I'm sure she wouldn't leave an infant to air dry the same way under any conditions?
Best In Show B!tch Every single day I go with them to the park to meet dogs , they attack dogs , they attack children’s , they attack old people and young, they are demons
I would say devil is harsh - more like misunderstood. How old were they when you go them? It is never too late to start but this video would be my first suggestion. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GSnMtjT0mUg.html How many do you have? I would suggest you work with training one at a time.
Best In Show B!tch they are 2 female Chihuahuas, sisters, I got them since they have 3 months, they now 7 years old , and I spend almost 24 hours with them , they travel all Europe with me . They go to the beach to run , to the woods , to the river, the eat chicken and dry dog quality food . They have everything. More than my own son ... 😂 I’m gonna check the link . Thank you 😊
You sound like you got bit by the Chihuahua bug! Welcome to the club. They are wonderful companions and they sound like minus their temperament adjustments, they keep you company.
I learned more from watching this one grooming video than all the others put together - THANK YOU. My dog is not a show dog but I want him to look nice.
