This is a day in the life of my retired racing greyhound Brinny.
You don't know how much responsibility owning a dog is until you have one in your life. From the daily walks to vet appointments, meal prep, medications, grooming, and planning your lives around them. Not to mention the cost of everything!
However, they bring so much joy into our lives and they love us unconditionally.
I hope you enjoy watching this video! :)

She is beautiful!! I have an 11-year old ex-racer for 8 months now. He is lovely and so polite and sweet. Greyhounds are the best!!❤️❤️❤️

I see that black grey eating grass. My grey used to do the same thing until I started her on some good digestive enzymes and pre probiotics. And she also had a bad case of worms when I got her. Well the doctors meds did not seem to work. But I found this really good supplement that was for gas (dogs) and it had slippery elm in it which I found out kills parasites. Also I included an MSM supplement which I found out surprisingly kills worms and parasites along with reducing inflammation. I also have her on a glucosamine chondroitin supplement.for any aches and pains. I swear she has more energy now then ever!

What a beauty she is and so well looked after . Iv got a 15 year old saluki/grey and he's my best friend . I think lurchers , sighthounds call them what you will are such magnificent animals . They can be hard work but they are the most rewarding 👍

Lovely dogs , we got ours 4 months ago. 38 kg boy brindle . I thought it was just me can’t stop kissing him ,and I’m not a kissy person either LOL!

When I was younger we had a greyhound he was going to be put down we took him in he loved sleeping with rabbits and cats and we never had any break ins i still miss him

She's such a cutie! Could I please ask for you to do a tutorial on dremeling her nails? I am trying to work out how to use this to trim my own grey's nails :) You seem like a pro!

Why does she needs so many meds? I'm currently waiting to adopt a Greyhound and I heard they are usually very healthy.

She has pannus so lifelong eyedrops once daily, it's common amongst golden retrievers & greyhounds. The mouth drops were a 2-week trial as she had some dribbling/incontinence, not needed anymore as it has resolved. The other tablets and liquid that I placed on her neck are 3-monthly de-wormer tablets & monthly flea treatment treatment respectively that all dogs need, it just happened to be due when I filmed this video :) When you go about adopting you'll be informed of what medical conditions they have and if you can commit to the cost/responsibility, plenty of greyhounds are very healthy, they are the best!!

IMO you're over-medicating.. My vet says deworming too often leads to the worms get resistant eventually. Also the steroid eye drops were given to me after my catharact surgery but they said they are not good for you in the long run, and when i had my checkup after surgery, the pressure in the eye was way too high. Of course you do what you want, but i disagree. Cheers! (It's a lovely dog btw : )

Is it hard to find an ex racer to adopt? I am looking at adopting one here soon but not sure how to start?

Not at all, if you are based in Australia check out GAP(Greyhound Adoption Program), in Victoria they update their website twice weekly with a list of greyhounds for adoption with a little bio and details about them. :)

seems like you are obsessive about medication and all, and you forgot the most important... and the most annoying: Clean her teeth. I paid to learn.... I paid... a lot.

Her lifelong daily medications are necessary for her chronic health issues. I also did clean her teeth in this video, maybe you missed it, 3:06-3:26.
