Ive been getting a ton of irritation with my osprey. And if i go down to 6 or lower it isn't a super close shave.

Thanks for watching, and there are so many factors involved, for getting irritation in your shave. Plus with a new razor, playing with shave, angles, pressure and so forth have a large part to do with the comforter the shave you may also want to try a different blade. If you’re using the personas that came with it they may not be good for your skin. There are a lot of factors involved I would just keep at it because to me on level five it’s one of the smooth shaves I’ve ever gotten for a DE you’ll get it dialed in I’m sure. You may try a different shave soap, a different brush. There are tons of factors involved to getting that perfect shave, but as I said earlier, you’ll get it dialed in.

The FatBoy was produced from 1958 to 1962 and was sold for $1.95 USD. With inflation that would be about $20 USD today.

Nice comparison Dave. Looking forward to the next 2 days' shaves to see who is crowned the GOAT. I do think the original cost of the Gillette 195, a/k/a The Fatboy, was $1.95.

Indeed msrp. The price tag in the one I have i believe was $2.59. I will have to dig out the case. It was purchased in Tucson at woolworths LOL

Do i hear it right? 50$ for the Osprey? On homepage they say 350$ Thats is a lot!! Day 2 i listen tomorrow, because it's late in good old bavaria.

Yep! However a bunch of comments on forums worries about soap scum and the difficulty of cleaning LOL. It’s STAINLESS for Christs sake. So my cleaning video might be the shortest in history LOL

How do you think this compares to the Rex konsul? If I wanted to get the tatara muramasa, Rex konsul, and osprey. Which one should I get? I could get all three and I’m tempted to and just call it quits for the rest of my life. What do you recommend.

Well I have tried those and frankly I have not found a Blackland I did not like. Well worth the investment and maybe, just maybe this may become king of the DE Razors in my collection. Hope that helps

Just wondering what is Gilbert lab blue blades, iv tried to find them online but don't think they exist?

There was no Gillette Lab Blue, there was King Gillette Blue, those were the original style blades and had a blue.black annodized coating on them, You may be able to find those on the secondary market but not make anymore, frankly they were junk IMHO The Personna Lab Blues are the best in my opinion

@@BarberDave of course no worries at all easily done, thanks for letting me know, I don't think iv ever tried those lab blue blades but I have very coarse hair and very sensitive skin so I don't find many DE blades work well for me
