Zuzia Zielinska it takes three changes to make It 101 Dalmations, there are 3 digits in 101, 101 means 3 in binary, illuminati and dalmation have the same number of letters.... so 101 dalmations = 3 illuminati = illuminati triangle = illuminati confirmed
It's crazy how sweet Dalmatians look and most people would find a german shepherd or pit bull scary but SOME Dalmatians are actually quite aggressive, I've came across some more aggressive than GSD's or pits. They sure are cute tho.
I always had GSDs growing up and the one that wasn't quite right was a police dog drop-out that we got when I was real young. Knowing what I know now about that process, I feel bad for the guy. He was always extremely gentle with the family, even the extended family. But strangers? Strangers could fuck right off. Yeah, otherwise GSDs have always been very gentle in my experience. I met some of the Budweiser Dalmatians two years ago, they were sweethearts as well.
Dalmatians are from my home country, Croatia. Originally they were hunting dogs, especially common in the costal region known as Dalmatia. They were also used in wars. The bishopric of Đakovo had to provide 500 horsemen and 1000 Dalmatians for the battle of Mohacs in 1526.
My parents got us a Dalmatian puppy in the 60's as a result of the Disney movie. For a family with 5 hyperactive kids who roamed for miles on our adventures, she was perfect. I could literally take her on a strenuous 10-mile hike, come home, hand her off to the next sibling, and off she'd go for another 10 miles - no problem. She could run alongside our bicycles for miles. She was NOT a good first dog. We were never able to successfully housebreak her, so she had to live outside year-round. :'( She was difficult, if not impossible to train, other than to jump. She LOVED to jump, and would jump over anything you pointed at. She literally ate EVERYTHING she came in contact with: Oranges that fell from our trees. A 6-foot leather dog leash. Toys. Even the plastic tail-lights on my dad's Lincoln Continental. She always hated men. I don't know why... she was never mistreated by one. But she bit them regularly. One time a man at a horse show we were at offered her some food to try to befriend her. She took his food willingly, and then she bit him. She lived a very healthy life until about 9 or 10 years of age, when she had to be put down due to severe arthritis.
I've had two Dallys in my time and they're one of the best dogs ever. So loving and affectionate....but yes, they do have selective hearing and use that intelligence to get into trouble (and they know it when they’ve done something naughty). Highly suggested for someone with an active lifestyle, enjoys cuddling, and having long conversations. Mine never showed any aggressive behavior towards my family or other pets.
Couple of points to correct here, as a long-time Spotty-Dog slave. 1. Dal's require LOTS of regular brushing, at least twice a week. As well as baths at least twice a month. These dogs SHED!!! If little white hairs are not part of your decorating scheme, do NOT get a Dalmatian. 2.The vast majority of "health" problems for Dal's is caused by over-breeding and inbreeding. Find a responsible breeder, or -best yet- a knowledgeable Dalmation Rescue. The only thing these dogs are prone to is deafness, which is most prevalent in "liver"-spotted males (especially if they have one brown, and one blue eye). 3. Dalmatians do NOT have "selective" hearing. The dog is smarter than you, insanely curious, and extremely active. If you can't keep up with him he'll ignore you. 4. Dal's are loving, devoted, affectionate and protective - of ONE person, and THEY will pick who. I've had 6 Dal's, raised all from the instant they were weaned. Four were "my" dogs (a.k.a. they made me their slave), the other two chose one of my daughters. 5. These are great dogs for families IF YOU HAVE OLDER, HEALTHY, ACTIVE CHILDREN. If you have toddlers or preschoolers do NOT get a Dal. They would never hurt a child intentionally, but they are hyper and rambunctious - the kids will get knocked down. Jazmyn, my 4-legged love of my life, adored children - the younger the better. All the mothers in the neighborhood said she was the best babysitter ever. 6. Dalmatians are a gotta-be-with-my-one-person-24/7/365 dog. If your idea of dog ownership is tossing them in the back yard and forgetting about them THIS IS NOT YOUR DOG!... and in my opinion you should be horse-whipped.
Yeah, I was like "Why in the fuck, did they not mention the shedding." My Dal sheds like its her job. Also since there's two colours of hair, whatever clothes you wear it stands out.
MommieDammit Brushings makes it worse. It makes them grow even more furr and shed more. The best thing to do it let them swim allot. Also their spots can also come in brown and piss yellow.
My dalmatian died recently because of bladder stones and hypothermia. He was the meanest thing ever with other people! My childhood friend used to feed him when we were away, he came to my house every day and still barked at him and showed his teeth, and the same in general with most strangers. He was adorable though.
My rescue is a Dalmatian pit mix. And honestly I adore her. No better mix. The qualities of pit and Dalmatian together are a match made in heaven. She’s literally the clingiest guard dog but will be everyone’s friend if I say the word “friend”. And she is inherently great with kids with or without calls. Her only con is cats. Her prey drive is really strong and she will chase strays when I let her loose to run. Thankfully before anything got hurt I know to have her on leash at all times.
My family got a Dalmatian when I was around 10 years old. He was the cutest and greatest dog I have ever met. It took time to discipline him but he did not have a bad teprament. If he could, He would sit on someone's knee 24/7. he loved everyone who entered the house. He used to go to bed at 8 pm every night and because he would go to bed, someone needed to go with him and put him down in his bed. The worst was his coat that ended up everywhere. A friend found his hair on her clothes after a month that she had seen him. Really miss him an terrific dog If you have the patience to teach them
I have a 4 month old dalmatian, he's the sweetest dog i'd ever imagine having, he LOVES cuddling, however YES they can be a handful, if you want your dalmatian puppy to turn out like the ones in the movie you're gonna have to be OUTSTANDINGLY PATIENT, and of course give him lots of love. Yes the selective hearing is true, he learned to sit, lay down and stay as well as leave it and waiting for food by 3 months (I trained him every day though) but sometimes he wants to outsmart me, and he DEFINITELY knows when he has done something wrong, if you do get this breed be prepared to be dedicated, if you are you'll find they're literally a blessing
We just had to put our family pet dalmatian down today after 13 wonderful years with her. They are awesome family dogs to have, If you're thinking this breed might be a good choice you will most likely have no regrets. Excellent with kids and all around great company
Correct. The Dalmatian originates in a central European country known as Croatia; more specifically in the country's province of Dalmatia. Quite interestingly this province of Croatia is where the nation's capital city Zagreb is located.
I used to have a dalmatian he was one of the dumbest yet funniest and cutest dog I've ever had. He was a bit snappy at times but he loved me the most out of my family. He died about two years ago from hypothermia when he was thirteen.
My neighbor use to own two dalmations, one named finn, the other named chloe, both were really nice dogs, i had a soft spot for chloe though, i miss her
When my family first got a rescue Dalmatian my sister decided to put on 101 Dalmatians, the dog came in looked at the telly then looked at her went huff and walked of, clearly these dogs know sarcasm.
They don't get agressive if you keep them busy. They are easily bored and need at least a hour and a half to 2 hours exercise a day. Nothing like Pongo from 101 dalmatians the animated movie. That's why I love the 101 dalmatians live action movies more, you can actually see Rodger biking with Pongo, and not like the animated one were Pongo just stares outside the window being bored while Rodger plays piano all the time.
Watch the recent 101 Dalmatian St. animated series - the writers handle that aspect a lot better than in the original animated movie. (And there's enough stuff on RU-vid to get an idea of things without having to shell out money for Disney+ if you don't already have it...)
I have owned this breed for 30 years and my relatives owned them here at the turn of the 20th century. I adore them and I run a rescue. What they do not discuss is the film stereotypes about the breed, nor how many pups were euthanized by Disney to make his films To my utter sadness, since he kept calling my artist Mom to work for him, was learning he killed more animals than any other producer.
I'm here wondering about the smiling. Guess it's not that common? Was it bred out? Mine loves to smile & smiles at everyone. Scares a lot of people as well, they thought she's going to bite them lol.
I use to love Dalmatian dogs when I was little. I'm 20 years old. The problem is that I feel like Dalmatian dogs don't exist in the real world because I never see them and no one ever sees them.
A Dalmatian. Your friend from a small community and your friend from Marion county. He gave me kool-aid drink mix to make their snow cone syrup. for bubblegum their sugar, water, bubblegum extract, & pink food dye. The same thing with piña coloda. Their sugar, water, coconut extract, & light blue food dye.
Also, they’re great for getting moles out of the ground; however, keep a shovel handy for they enjoy digging. You better be close when a t-storm comes thru....they're such big babies :)
If you are looking to get a dalmatian a few things to note: first surprise youll be greeted with is HOW MUCH white fur they shed!!! It is incredible youll swear they shed more fur than they have on their body!! Also, they are extremely intelligent and seem to have almost human like personality. They are extremely aware and do certain things with a very strong sense of reason lol. They will get into things that youre sure theyre not able to get into. Also, like most dogs they are extremely food motivated but even more so than other breeds ive owned. They can be very aggressive if not raised properly so the younger you can get them the better. You must man handle them very much when theyre small so that they have no doubt in their mind that you are in charge and they are not to harm anyone. My dalmatian that i own now has not even come close to biting or even GROWLING at anyone. EVER. My children have put their hand in his food bowl while eating, taken treats from his mouth and harrassed him and he will not make a peep. He is also extremely social with other dogs. They must be socialized correctly and at a young age, it is imperitive for their well being. The only thing to be careful of is how strong they are because they are very playful and active and can accidently knock over children or elderly if they jump up on them. Also MOST IMPORTANTLY is their diet. You MUST feed them a low purine diet or they WILL develop life threatening kidney and bladder stones!!!! This has been my experience with dalmatians.
Can be hot in Dalmatia so I guess they mistaken it for egyptian desert..... Is caucasian shepherd then form Japan? Use google if you don't know how to read FCI official standard.. If you don't know how: go to google.com and enter Dalmatian FCI standard.... than read country of origin, it says Republic of Croatia - region Dalmatia... could be hard to know a bit of geography without help I guess....
i have a dalmatian this is basically his description. but he isnt agressive towards people only other dogs. i would really reccomend this dog to most people if you don't have another dog. He is fairly easy to train and just and amazing dog in general not to mention adorable :]
I know a breeder who breeds Dalmatians and whats really neat about it is they are not bred for show she breeds dalmatians for looks, health, behavior and mostly companionship and they are just amazing they don't even act like the stereotypical dalmatians they really act like what a dalmatian should be. I met a guy who got two Dalmatians from her and he lives in an apartment the dogs are super friendly, great with kids, very healthy, and even look amazing. I might even get one myself from her.
Dog Lord The breeder here in Connecticut? I found her out through a Labrador breeder down the road from us he owns a store and sells his own dog food he was super helpful when I adopted my dog and if I ever start looking for a purebred he knows where I can find them, ones that are not expensive and only bred for either field work and companionship. The breeders he knows usually charge around $500 to $1000 price range which is not a bad price range for a dog.
Dam right they need plenty of room to run I live in an apartment with my Fiance and my bestfriend Archer my Dalmatian puppy He's destructive to toys like a pit bull and as loving as a golden retriever I am a Skater I love roller skating This little guy loves running at the park down the street I skate at and from there became fetch and even getting a electric scooter topping him out at 20mph Best dog I've had has been Archer and best anniversary gift too My huesband works love hours as a night bar manager and I work a couple days a week at the hospital But majority at that time I'm home alone Archer has become my running buddie, going around town and even to some restaurants with outside balconies Biggest draw back selective hearing, he's got a scent of something it's hard to break that concentration, shedding no black clothes and my poor black interior jeep If the high energy isn't an issue for you than a dalmation would be a great dog for you Archer is still intact male at 6 months no aggression shown, he's loves people and children Early on socializing is doing wonders Lots of toys and puzzles He's a big dummy and smart as can be, he loves puzzles and needs something for that brain to do, that isn't knocking over the garbage can No beef or organ meat, chicken base products are your friends Like a retriever they are great at fetch but also have the separation anxiety, another friend maybe a good idea I've had no issues with him and small pets, don't recommend having dog out with birds but he's done good with leaving my birds alone and being nice with cats So far in my journey this breed when socialized young and trained is a bug loving softy Unless you come near the door, we still get very aggressive when people come to the door but I also live in the hood so I'm not too worried about it 😅 Don't be afraid to bust put the treats for tricks, anything mind stimulating is great way to burn off energy and get the brain working 6 months we know sit, stay, down, roll over, drop it, spin and fetch/go get it And my Fiance favorite street fighter O Hoogan move and Archer falls over and loves that game and piper which is Piper Dog where it's basically his play time word for tug of war Love this breed, just put time energy and dedication and you'll have a lovely dog ❤
I've known a couple Dalmatians and neither were good with children or strangers. One bit the family's child a couple times and strangers and the other just strangers. They both got along great with adults that they've gotten used to, though. Hmm.
