Betty is a wire-haired pointer who has been working as a truffle hunting dog for the past three years. On a quiet, cold November morning, she is hard at work locating and helping to dig out tuber magnatum or the precious white truffle which sells for around $6,000/kg. With no use for money herself, Betty happily works for sausages, affection, praise and the pleasure she takes in being out in the forest with the rest of her family
