This is actually a speedrun category called Max%! A runner named HDLax acquired all of the money, lit up every room, saved every toad, and got every gold portrait in just an hour and 46 minutes.
29:22 The Gold Diamonds do despawn, I've watched someone on a blind playthrough spend too much time on E. Gadd's dialogue after catching the 50th Boo and miss it
The best launch title, I love how non linear the first Luigi's mansion is and going back to uncover all the secrets in the mansion. It really made the mansion itself have life like its own character. Great video Yosh!
I've been on a Luigi's Mansion kick recently, and found this gem of a video! The production is really good, the commentary is nice, and the whole thing is really engaging! There's a fun sense of sincerity about the game and the video that's just wonderful. Looking forward to more videos on anything! I can tell its gonna be one heck of a ride!
I love this game so much. I always thought it was such a shame that Nintendo took the other Luigi's Mansion games in a more generic, cartoony direction, the more realistic feel of the first game fit the "haunted mansion" feel so much better and gave it more of it's own identity imo. Also, thanks for sharing that strategy for Boolossus, that boss fight always annoyed the hell out of me
Great job on completing this challenge! It's extremely hard, I know. I am probably one of the only people in the world to have completed this challenge in the PAL Hidden Mansion, which is even harder! There are way more regular ghosts, and EVERY Speedy Spirit and Gold Mouse drops a silver diamond.
I like watching videos on games I already know pretty well just in case someone else has found something I've completely missed. This video, for example, informed me that there is a key for the door between area 2 and 3. I never knew it existed and thought that was just a door which remained permanently locked by design.
So, fun fact about refreshing furniture, moving to other rooms isnt the only thing that counts as a room transition, going up and down floors counts as a room transition, and those large hallways are separated into segments, which count too, for example: You can refresh the Parlor if you go to the Foyer and go downstairs until you see the 1F appear on one of the corners of the screen You can also refresh the Ballroom if you go to Area 2 Hallway to the south horizontal hallway, notice the camera change, that means you went into another room transition
Stunning the ghosts so they disappear so you can get all of the money in a dark room is overrated, I prefer to run around like an idiot and break the ghosts' ankles until they give up
This is just how I naturally play every game. It’s kind of a nightmare. I’ve always attributed it to my having ADHD but I think it’s something different that causes this because I’ve met plenty of other people with ADHD who don’t ruin every game for themselves.
I've done this challenge several times too, including on the 3DS! Though on my most recent attempt on the 3DS I somehow completely failed to grab a ruby late in the game, which made me lose interest in restarting the entire run... :(
The only thing I've yet to achieve this game is to gold Slim Bankshot. It doesn't even feel possible. Let's see how you do it I've never heated up the pot in the oven!!! Been playing this game shortly after it came out and I'm still learning about it You just destroyed Slim. Idk why i struggle so much with him
This came out at the perfect time! I’m going to go for earning the best mansion (100,000+G). Your video was perfect and very informative for my playthrough. Thank you very much. Best of luck on your next endeavors.
Theyre bills from a haunted house, you could imagine the house is old enough so any money contained within would be much older prints of bills, making them historically significant thus perhaps raising their valuation, realistically. Just a thought.
@@pianoman7753 true I was just using the current day value but yes if we were able to figure out the date the bills were made it would raise it even higher
I have a whole series documenting how to get every treasure in Luigi's Mansion that I made with my wife ~6 years ago. It's absurdly hard, especially if you're doing the PAL Hidden Mansion, which I would definitely recommend trying, afaik only two people have done it on RU-vid, me being one of them and Psycochotics being the second.
The way I dealt with the last few boos in Boolossus was to use the regular vacuum mode, then immediately fire an ice ball. This skips the small delay from unholstering the vacuum hose while also making the boo not flee.
I struggle to 100% a game where it's easy to do so. The only games I 100% is Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. There's a lot of Luigi's Mansion info I never realized before. Thanks for making this video.
Not that im not enjoying this but from personal experience i can say the scott the waz voice is only gonna hurt you in the long run. Find your own voice, your stuffs good on its own.
Wtf just what I was thinking bro. This is like the 10th youtuber I’ve seen that fking copy’s Scott the Woz’s entire personality and mannerisms and it pissed me off all the time haha. Granted he’s not as bad as some others but still
I tried doing this challenge a while back but gave up at the halfway point with that freezing the boos boss I was raging so hard cuz I would always get hit too many times lol
Great video! Luigi's Mansion used to scare me as a kid from how realistic it looked outside when in the gameboy horror lol. It took me forever to just beat it I can't imagine doing all this extra, I never even got all of the boos at the end. Can't wait to see more in the future.
