Yeah, lys summon effect is main phase only, which means you lose both your lys and blackbeard to a standby phase imperm, book of moon, book of eclipse, droplet, etc. its harder for them to break your board if you split the blackbeard to start. And the search is less important than that

Adventure engine is the classic route with plunder. The runick version is a totally different feel of deck. Depends which playstyle is more for you. Haven’t tried any lab stuff mixed in before, seems gimmicky, but people have had success with it so i guess there’s something there

@@phantomsygo appreciate the response, all three sound good in theory, The fiend crossover fit seems decent in theory for labrynth if it did it’s stuff before activating plunder effects but who knows

@phantomsygo will do, ive only done some minimal testing online but the synergy seems to be there. Furniture discard whitebeard turn 0 goes hard obviously but beyond that im not sure how gimmicky the rest of the techs are. You can run rivalry as everythings a fiend, the plunder ships are lvl 8 fiends too so they work with big welcome gy effect. You can summon your plunder cards with the lvl4 labrynth monsters and go full plunder combo. There's a lot there to learn

I think it’s just a really cool alternative to adventure plunder which i’ve been playing for a couple years. Feels like two totally different decks and i think i’ll be willing to play both going forward. If you want to pick one or the other you kinda have to figure out if your playstyle is moreso aggressive big monster building (advwnture) or slow control grind (runick)
