OMG Don's vocals here!!!!!!!!! The guy could hit those perfect high notes that sound so classically metal with the tone of that guitar!! Miss when this music was king
Lynch plays like a mother on the entire album. Untouchable. Songwriting, riffs, sound, and these insane solos...killer phrasing and licks really leading somewhere. 1987 was such a great year. Whitesnake 1987 with John Sykes, Def Lep Hysteria,...
When Dokken was on their game, NOBODY could touch them! I still remember when they opened for Metallica, they not only held their own, they stole the show! at one point people were chanting " we want dokken!" During Metallica's set.
This album just simply kicked big time when it came out and still stands the test of time. One of my all time favorite Dokken and albums period. Steller performance by every member!
Basically my point was I wish that man got more credit for his imprint on rock music, he lives and breathes music, and I have no doubt that as long as he's alive you will continue to get what he hears in his head, cheers dude, been a God to me for 30 years
Something about how Mr Scary plays his chords that just rips! Not sure if he's using some funky vibrato or compressor on his chords or what. I'm so glad Ozzy's drunk ass fired Lynch, otherwise we'd have never gotten to hear the Metal legends that Dokken eventually became. George's guitar solos are always a "Show-Stopper" as he just tears all the ass out of this "Outro" guitar solo.
On board with the high school memories, and yea, fucking George Lynch was and still is a beast, so unique and dark and forever evolving, Eddie trunk said he's the busiest man in rock and roll and he really is, forever touring with Lynch mob which I just saw, clinics, and how many bands?
How can none of you even notice that this is not a real video. It is a compilation of all of their videos to make it look like a real video!!! And you all comment how cool the music is but dont even know the video is total fake!!! Good going with whoever put it together faking out the wantabe fans who are not. I wish Don Dokken could see this video he never made. Very pro.
This was his masterpiece imho - what playing. Still gives me chills (he's the reason I started playing electric guitar c. 1985) and I'm still in awe of his talent!
