Dollar Tree DIY Room Decor on a Budget 

I really like these. You would never know how those balls started out...child’s toy...topiary! So cute. I think I favor the first one, but definitely like both. Thanks for the inspiration! Try to stay cool this weekend. We are slated to have thunderstorms ALL weekend. Well, good time to DIY. 😊👍🏻🌳

Love that you used real sticks lol. I use adhesive spray and on the foam ball and then put the moss in a bag and toss the ball around

You could attach potpourri to it and have your hone smelling great I would also just spring the extra few bucks for a styro ball instead of using a bouncy ball and you ciuld always paint the styro ball green!

That’s a great tip on the 100% acetone. Nail-polish remover is some powerful stuff, especially in such a heavy ‘proof’ (like whiskey). I’m actually looking for ideas on how to make cheap, cool planters, and I’m going to try out some of your ideas on making the aged/antiqued/distressed metal from a paint can. You got a great, old-rusted metal thing going on. Awesome. Thank you!

Did you actually use two foam balls in this demo? I ask because I wonder how both would gold it's shape, especially having holes poked through them (the one on the bottom, you did it twice), you have the hot glue and moss, and it looks perfect? And you can't see the original orange color of the ball unless you painted it? Just curious..

Here’s another tip for toilet bowl cleaner; if you have hard water or a heavy build up of soap use a little bit of the cleaner on a glass door. It cuts right through. I love Octavia’s channel. Her projects are really original. Not as original as yours of course. 🌸

I used fake brown swad ribbon wrapped my stick .I didn't do it smoothed so it look like it had a few notches.

I'm with you that a foam ball would have been best. I liked the first tin better but, I liked the moss topiary better.

I loved both topiary's and I really liked the second tin.

I really like them....& u can also get the galvanized look by wrapping the bucket in a vinagar soaked towel👍😁

When I used the plastic balls from $ tree I wrapped them in duct tape before using my glue gun!! Easy peasy! They look great!

Love topiary #1! I needed a topiary idea for my back deck and this is perfect. It will also be a good way to use up some of the extra greenery bits and pieces I save up when disassembling flower sprays for other projects.

Why didn't you just use a white arts and crafts foam sphere or the flower arrangement floral foam spear instead of a hard basketball?

So clever! I used the inflatable balls for moss balls as well. They deflate over time. 😪 Due to that, I only use foam balls now.

They turned out really cute. I used to sew primitive dolls and I had a recipe that I used to rust safety pins, nails and more, so I’m into the rusty look. For me that one turned out super cute. 😊
