My girlfriend and I almost got in an argument because she keeps saying its the noise from the blender and i'm 100% theres guitar with distortion playing.
When the flame gets too close to the food you absolutely do get a butane taste. The key is to keep the torch just far enough back that the visible flame never actually touches the food. Guga has a few videos where he goes into that.
@@OhGodWhatIsThisAah Yes it's a flavorless gas but it's not in a gas in a butane torch. It's liquid fuel being ignited. The point at which the flame is visible to the naked eye still has fuel being ignited within it.
@@zegagenesis778 it's flavorless in any case. A/B/X test you will never be able to tell. It's contaminated fuel, the cannabis extraction community figured this out years ago, usually it's from failing seals in the bottling process.
Bruh, you're mistaking propane for butane. Both come in identical containers, both are used for torches and camping burners. Butane is more expensive and flavorless, propane is cheaper and can have a flavor because of the odor addative. However, neither should have a flavor unless the food is inside the flame itself, stopping a complete burn of the fuel.
Love learning about all the little things, like shrimps in a c shape! Watching mythical kitchen and Josh/nicole has made me start cooking and trying more fresh adventurous stuff.

Great Dollar Tree dinner: 1 packet Knorr's spanish rice, 1 can black beans (drained), 1 packet Velveeta cheese sauce (jalapeno if you can find it), 1 packet tortillas, 1 bag of any crunchy chip you want (we like jalapeno kettle chips, but tortilla chips or corn chips work great) - Cook the rice, add the beans in the last two minutes to heat them through, slap them on warmed tortillas, drizzle cheese sauce and top with crunchy chips - Tastes a lot like a Taco Bell dish and is pretty filling and makes quite a few portions, I can get four servings from one set of ingredients and usually have a bit of rice and beans leftover
I feel like the combo of jalapeno and pineapple isn't praised highly enough. I was introduced to it on pizza back in 2007 and I never looked back. Pineapple, jalapeno, and onion. My favorite toppings 👌🏻😊
There is a salsa we do in northern Mexico called salsa tatemada de piña, it’s pineapple and habaneros grilled and then chopped or smashed in a molcajete, its usually for nachos or for Tostilocos
Just FYI, if you're watching RU-vid on a mobile device, then you're almost certainly watching in 480p or lower, unless you manually change it for every video you watch. And when watching on a PC, then usually 720p is as high as it wants to go. Sometimes 1080p. I've never seen it default higher than that, and my monitor is 1440p. 4k on RU-vid is almost entirely pointless. Almost no one watches at that resolution, and those that do probably aren't most of the time and they just don't realize it.
I know Josh is excited about 4K, but I was constantly being pulled in by the sound design in this episode. There seemed like a lot more use of music and sound effects today. Maybe it's just me?

Another UK English vs US Eglish (or Josh English maybe) quirk there... "I'm not mad about that" in Josh talk means "That's pretty good". In the UK "I'm not mad about that" means "I don't like that much".

I know you guys joke around and have a great time, which I thoroughly enjoy btw, but I've picked up some pretty good tips watching this show and feel more confident in my ability to cook.
I know this may be more on the “unpopular opinion” end, but I’d like to see more less expensive vs expensive. Like Walmart vs Whole Foods range. These dollar tree vs Walmart just feels like cheapest vs cheap and while it can bring up a good point, it’s just pretty predictable.

Valentina’s is one of the best easy to find/carried nearly everywhere hot sauces. And then add in the price, good luck beating it. And then also find out it’s super basic, not a ton of fillers/preservatives, just like 7 ingredients. Stuff is nearly impossible to beat for the combo it is.
I feel like they need to do a comparison of dollar general ingredients versus a higher end grocery store like Harris Teeter or I don’t really know what would be the equivalent to that on the West Coast maybe like Trader Joe’s or something lol
I am also on team "mushy veggies" and it's probably because like Josh, I grew up super poor and most of the veggies we had when I was a kid were canned veggies, which were always mushy and that's just what I got used to.

Dear chef, please try out this unorthodoxy I added to the last few batches of my chili, and let me know how you like it! Step 1: dice an apple, cook in butter and whiskey and cinnamon Step 2: make chili and add the apple while it simmers. Earlier or later depending on how much crunch you want to keep.
Love these videos sooo much, but the background music was too loud for me!! 😭 10 mins in it was so loud I couldnt focus on what Josh was saying because I couldnt stop hearing it loop over and over. For real tho I love mythical kitchen, pleeeease consider lowering the BGM & SFX a little bit for those of us with auditory processing issues 🙏
