I met Tim Thomerson way back in college when he was mainly just doing stand-up. Helluva nice guy. He hadn't even done Trancers yet! I razzed him a bit when I started doing the theme from Quark, which he didn't seem to be too fond of, but thanked me for both knowing the show and that he was in it.

I love your reviews, Cecil. RU-vid has become an ocean of either straight-forward and to the point reviewers, or those reviewing a film just for the sheer fun of mocking it. You fall somewhere in between. You're not afraid to make fun of certain aspects of a film, especially when it's a dated effect that hasn't aged well, but your love and respect for the movie you're discussing is always present. You shed light on what goes on behind the scenes in a way that makes the movie even more enduring. It's crazy how many movies you've covered that I saw when I was kid and thought very few people had even heard of, let alone watched. Every video brings back another childhood memory.,I rented a metric fuck ton of movies when I was younger and I can't remember half of them. Now, on a side note, I do have a request. I don't know if you've seen Murder Party, but I am almost positive you would love it. It's written and directed by Jeremy Sauner, who also wrote and directed the underrated but excellent Blue Ruin, as well as the highly and well-deserved praised movie, Green Room. Murder Party is such a fun movie to watch. I was so lucky to stumble across it a few years ago and I have been suggesting it to friends since. I'd love to see you cover it.

The Dollman blu-ray allows you to appreciate that it's actually reasonably well shot for a cheapie, but the opening scenes on another planet have been obviously regraded. The original version had a sepia look. That was removed for the HD transfer.

1:24 *Fun Fact:* The Groger Blaster was portrayed by the Wildey. Yes, the same type of .475 Wildey Magnum made famous by Charles Bronson in *Deth* Wish 3. 6:22 It's a flipped image. Sam Raimi uses that so-called "technique" all the time. A lot of directors do. They think it improves continuity, but it actually ruins it, especially if there's any visible text anywhere in the scene. You know that basement scene in Evil Dead 2 that everyone complains about because Ash appears to be wearing his chainsaw on his left arm instead of his right? Same deal. If people looked at the chainsaw, they would have seen that the blade was offset to the left (no one makes chainsaws that way). Plus, Ash's shirt appears to fasten right over left (no one makes men's work shirts that way). Plus, Bruce appears to raise his left eyebrow instead of his right. Plus, there's the arrangement of wounds on his face.
