really they discontinued the extra line? I like those lines because of their extravagant outfits which is very barbie. Fashionistas line is the kne that should be discontinued
@@jhey2325i think not, i am very sad that the extra line is discontinued yes, but i see that some clothing pieces in the Fashionistas are getting a little better, so i hope this is a sign that the fashionista line would improve in the next wave.
@@jhey2325 yeah I saw the thread on the Barbie forums. They've ended the line. Same with the rewind dolls. They've also ended the Silkstone pink collection too.
@steveHolloway88 too sad, it means only repetitive playline will be release with pixels and painted outfits. Mattel needs to consider adult collectors too.My niece don’t even like the color reveal dolls
@JemappelleStefan Fashionistas are just big shirts and dress. The only doll that made fashionistas talk of the media this year is barbie with down syndrome the rest of the dolls are nothing special same pixelated face and misprinted.
Barbie Looks, especially 16 and Fashionista's 206 and 208, were my favorite Barbies. Worst Barbie, the movie doll with that hideous rollerblading outfit. Victoria and the Madison Twins from RH were great as well. But the best dolls on the market now if money is no object are Intergrity Toy dolls.

Monster High G3 also had a bunch of releases this year... I think the Core Refresh line (well, Draculaura and Clawdeen so far) at least is noteworthy, since they're supposed to be the new main versions of the characters.
I did manage to get the Barbie Extra Fly Ken doll this year! I love that he does have "extra" stuff but isn't as overwhelmingly gaudy as the Barbies in the Extra line can be. Also, I had no idea the "I am Kenough" Ken doll existed! I will definitely have to track that one down!
Pretty n Punk Sasha and series 3 Felicia were the best dolls this year simply because the community has been begging for these dolls for 15 years and we finally got them!
Great video! I agree that the Barbie Movie dolls were my favorites this year, even though some (like the Simu Liu Ken) have been really hard to find. The Looks dolls (not the clothes) were great, especially Curvy Barbie & Buff Ken. I also loved the awesome Ken Extra Fly doll, which was the one and only Ken doll in the Extra line. And I highly recommend getting this year’s AA 12 Days of Christmas Barbie set - it’s gorgeous!

I personally loved the Karla doll from SH; the Vampire's Heart Draculaura, and am interested in getting the Wild Flower OMG doll. Sadly RH is really going down hill, so I don't think I will be purchasing them any longer; unless they bring out more high end dolls. There are some Barbies I would like to get, and I am interested in what they will be doing next year. I don't know of any other dolls coming out that I want, but I haven't seen any news from Barbie or really Omg about what they are doing. Merry Christmas Joey :)

My favorites are Rainbow High Priscilla Perez , so glamorous, Shadow High Lavender Lynn and Karla Choupette and Lol OMG Surprise Dolls- especially Wildflower and Pose . The Barbies from the movie are nice and I really liked the Barbie Looks line this year but, was disappointed with the outfits they came with. That Barbie extra fly doll w the blue fur is gorgeous, so is the 35th anniversary Teresa. I ended up getting the monster high x nightmare before Christmas dolls for Christmas and I’m so obsessed with them.
This year has been full of very interesting dolls. The Barbie Movie was certainly an important event for all of us collectors. My favorite lines were definitely the Omg, the new Disney dolls and the Shadow high. I also really liked the Ily forever. Thanks for this video. 😊Happy holidays to you too. Your videos are the best ! I am a collector of the reproduction and anniversary lines since 94. The only other dolls I purchased this year were from the Barbie movie. Hope Mattel starts putting a little more effort into Barbie , the quality to me has fallen quite a bit. I know with the repro dolls the outfits now seem to be " inspired by " instead of reproductions of the clothes themselves. Will be ending my collection after Barbies 65th year line but will still love watching videos of what others are collecting. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year Joey!

I hope Barbie creators bring back a non Disney princess line like in the 90s or re reliece the Barbie movie Dolls in the future. The best doll lines this year for me were the Disney princesses ,rainbow High the Barbie movie and little Mermaid doll.
I went through a whole phase of buying rainbow high in 2022, I have two OMG dolls and I think one of the Barbie rewind and I bought a bunch of other collector Barbies from the 90s on eBay most of them were brand new from Walmart but I got a bunch of random dolls, too from eBay and now the problem my face is where to put them all😂😂😂 and I still want to get more! I don’t have any of the new released dolls from this year I don’t think. I really liked the ILY forever Disney dolls and I didn’t know that Mattel did Disney again for the first time since the 90s I think -unless I’m totally wrong about that I thought they did once before. My favorite line has to be rainbow high because of the big eyes make up and their clothes are always top-tier for me and then next line for me is OMG because of THE HAAAIRR all my gosh the hair… The hair is so soft, always, and I just love the bigger features on the dolls, the eyes, the lips, the head altogether just delicious💋💋🎬🎬🎬 Just everything new that Barbie has put out I’m like 😬💔 ever since they changed her totally around the brats era I guess? I have completely lost faith in Barbie
I'm not a Kylie fan either, but those dolls are beyond gorgeous, very high quality for their affordable price & I was very impressed by them in person. I got them 70% off so well justified & worth it for me.
My favourites: ILY forever Snow White, Barbie Looks 16, the curly haired colour and create Rainbow High doll and the mini Na Na Na surprise dolls. I'd really like a Bratz doll but none have caught my eye so far. Here's hoping in 2024. 😊
My top 5: 5. Rainbow High Series 5 2023 4. Some of the barbie fashionistas (The Shani, The daya with the pants, the peaches and cream one, and the 1959 original Barbie) those are slays! 3. Barbie Extra Fly (I love the Barbie extra line sm! I really hope it continues in 2023!) 2. Bratz Repros (I’m a 2007 kid, so I didn’t manage to own the older y2k Bratz, so I’m happy that they’re still making reproductions, I really hope they continue) 1. The Monster High Gen3 of this year (Why didn’t you mention some of the newer my g3 playline dolls?! Some of them were really nice! Like the core refresh Draculaura! I was kind of downed when you didn’t mention those dolls… but i thought a lot of them were even better than last year! Monster High, good luck next year!)

Joey- Merry 2023 Christmas and Happy 2024 New Year! I like the Barbie the Movie dolls- althought I only purchased "Perfect Day Barbie" and "Beach Ken". I thought about purchasing one of the other Barbies. I loved the Kate McKinna Barbie and the I am Kenough Ken dolls. I also loved the Dia de los Muertos dolls and added a couple of new ones to my Catrins and Catrinas. I wish Mattel understood there are black Mexicans and would make a couple of Catrinas to be black Catrinas. I would purchase them. I have not seen the new November releases of the Made to Move Barbies. I would like a couple of those for my niece. Man, I hadn’t realized just how fast MGA spat out Rainbow High dolls until you mentioned that Shadow High series 2 came out this past January. They really speedran the whole brand, didn’t they?
got mariah she is fabulous , the barbie movie line they have the thinest neck pivot EVER i took the clothes off mine the skater version and her head just snapped and emailed mattel telling them that the neck system wasnt brilliant from the perspective of a collector as the budget line dolls have thicker neck systems , there response was i laughed hard at this , the dolls were not made to be undressed REALLY REALLY ,,,,,well why have you got a barbie movie fashion pack pillocks ,,,,,however i did get my repro fashion photo pj and she is incredible for about the same price so mattel redeemed themselves there.... love the barbie extra got the ken love him ,and i love rainbow shadow high mga keeps taking my money here

Fave was the return of mh, the Disney classic dolls, and the fantastic fashion from rainbow high as well as Victoria, and the second wave of shadow high. Least favorite, asha, the price range to the quality was abysmal
