Who is here to listen to some Kenny Rogers after his passing today? He’s always been one of my favorite! Rest in peace Kenny! Your music will live on! 😘😘
I know people might dislike this version for various reasons but these guys are legends in their own rights, can sing ,can write. So give it the credit it deserves
This ain't worth crap compared to the original version... Only someone who has experienced the hate of apartheid and the racism of America's recent past can truly sing this song with the meaning that touches that something inside so strong. Good try though..
RIP Kenny . Its terrible that you are not with us. Its ok. You left your legacy with us. You belong to heaven, and the stars are spelling your name . Kenny played large in the whole podium singing & dancing ,acted as a team player / shared with ease and could surrender without disappearing.
extremely happy when see three legends stand together. But so sad that I never can see that once again. Thank you, three of you... You make the world better, more beautiful, more adorable
@Mark Honest thank you for visiting to me. I'm good, actually. But as you know, Sir Kenny Rogers had passed away. I'd love to see these three of legends one more time, but it's impossible now
You forget how old they really are when you watch all the later stuff , so miss Kenny , the world lost a beautifull soul when he passed 😢😢 he will always be missed ,
Labi Siffre, a wonderful singer/songwriter and poet. Born in Hammersmith, London, England. The original artist behind this masterpiece. I just finished listening to his version when this came on. I gotta say, i wasn't expecting it to be any good but it's incredible. Kenny, Dolly and Willie truly did it justice.
Dear Kenny, you owned the stage and released it as much to other actors. you were always easy ,perhaps the easiest human being ever to be on stage. You commanded your music troupes and audience while singing, watching, clubing ,dancing and you enjoyed yourself fully. Rest easy Kenny. You straddled the country music like a colossus over the years with great remarkable duet with Dolly Parton and Sheena Easton, Willie Nelson , Lionel Richie among others.
The first time I heard this song, I immediately fell in love with it 💖🎶💖 it was the version sang by the artist LIRA, from South Africa, she’s a truly gifted and amazing singer 💖💖💖 the more I listened to it, I felt that this song is indeed a global anthem, and to hear our greatest country legends sing it, simply proves my point 💖🌌🎶🌌💖 We ALL have that “Something Inside US that makes US Strong” 🌟 💫 🌟
I love this song the way they’re singing it because sometimes you have to just be strong Within a matter what and go with your heart and I love the way they sing this song together it’s awesome they’re amazing love always Melissa❤😊
I love the song, the original and this version. It's being sung by all my fav country singers. Now to the doubtful, you DONT have to go thru it to feel it. It's called Empathy! Being able to put yourself in some one else shoes and feel their pain. I beleive all three are capable of this!. All 3 grew up poor that they get, they can only empathize concerning the rest of the song... Blackness. Awesome version. Thank you for the upload! Remember ❤️ Kenny pulls upfront the one person that completely understood it all. She sung from deep down in her soul! Sing it Lady!
I've always loved Kenny and Dolly together!!!!! They should have been able to be together to enjoy their lives together!!!!!! Because the sparks were always flying between the both of them!!!! They are magic together!!!!!! 😘👍💖💞💞 And I love Willie Nelson so very much too!!!!! He is a awesome man, and his songs have always been magical. I love all 3 of y'all, all of my life!!!!!! 💋😘👍💖🎉💌🎊💞❤
Believe in the spirit within... Neighbors, friends who cannot keep their noses on their own face are not friends. They've no right to determine your worth, or judge another's character. Jealousy & envy can cause damages untold. I feel extreme pity for those of shallow soul. Willie, Kenny & Dolly have blessed us all with their infinite gifts. They were also devoted "friends"... Some call "Vipers" friends, they know who they are. I've no use for the deceitful & decrepit. Truthful, honest people whom have nothing to hide are invaluable, priceless and uncommon these days. I pray for us each, and united to seek those with real integrity, self disciplined dignity and humble intention 🙏. Jez....venting. Many prayers & much love ❤️ All!
Yes, I am a fan and always will be. I have been a fan since I was a little and I enjoy country music. You have a blessed wonderful night love always Melissa.
@@nicelydone31 That's true. It could be about anyone who was mistreated and told that they weren't worthy of life and respect. It shouldn't matter if one is black, gay, religious, non-religious.
I don't think Labi Siffre has been given due credit for writing some of the best songs of his era. To me, he's some sort of Curtis Mayfield. I can listen to Something Inside So Strong all day and still be motivated all the way. That's how great the song is. So great two years after it's release (1987), Kenny Rogers decided to cover it on his studio album of the same title.
45 años de mi historia de progreso y trinfos apuesta dame solo tres años y de tres en tres estructura indestructible con esa música pero en USA nunca lo escuché porque sera
"(Something Inside) So Strong" (originally by Labi Siffre) The higher you build your barrier The taller I become The farther you take my rights away The faster I will run You can deny me You can decide to turn your face away No matter 'cause there's, Something inside so strong I know that I can make it Though you're doing me wrong so wrong You thought that my pride was gone, oh no There's something inside so strong Something inside so strong. The more you refuse to hear my voice The louder I will sing You hide behind Walls of Jericho Your lies will come tumbling Deny my place and time You squander wealth that's mine My light will shine So brightly it will blind you Because there's, Something inside so strong I know that I can make it Though you're doing me wrong so wrong You thought that my pride was gone, oh no There's something inside so strong Something inside so strong. Brothers and sisters When they insist we're just not good enough Well we know better Just look 'em in the eye and say We're gonna do it anyway. We're gonna do it anyway. We're gonna do it anyway. Something inside so strong I know that I can make it Though you're doing me wrong so wrong You thought that my pride was gone, oh no There's something inside so strong. There's something inside so strong. There's something inside so strong. Something inside so strong I know that I can make it Though you're doing me wrong so wrong.
