It is a great feeling to be able to fix something like this, and save $$$. Its pretty cool (no pun intended) that your dometic stats is still working. My dometic thermostat died after 1 seasons use ( about 5 trips). The stat could not talk to the AC control board, giving me an E5 code, i think it was. I bit the bullet and replaced it with a Micro-Air EasyTouch thermostat. Pretty nice replacement, but way too expaensive. So far so good.
Thank you, my friend! Yes, it's great to get this fixed! I've got at least one long pull to the beach this summer. Probably 1300 miles or so round trip in Florida in the middle of summer. Whew. I needed my AC fixed. Thanks for the tip on the replacement thermostat. I really do not like this thing from Dometic. I'm filing this tip away for future reference.
@@jeremsgarage ....and you can even control the thermostat from your phone with a really simple and effective app. This past weekend we got our trailer out for the first time this season. We actually went over to the beach for a couple of nights here in Oregon. I got to put my Sumo Springs to use for the first time. I really liked the results I experienced. you should tear your junction box apart and re install the conduit lock nut back on your strain relief. kind of pointless for a strain relief if its not installed and the wire is going to cut itself open on the box to create an issue.
@@jeremsgarageat 1 minute mark just above your had is yellow romex. This is your 110v supply to the control box. It is clamped into a strain relief to help wire connections from being pulled. It should be secured to the box via flat conduit lock nut threaded inside box to that strain. These will be found in electrical section at any box store. As it sits, the wire can rub on box exposing the 110 volt wire.
