Dometic refrigerator RM2351 not staying lit on gas/propane

We have a 2017 Coachmen Clipper 17' camper. The Dometic refrigerator stopped working on propane only, still worked when plugged in. The coils inside the plastic box on the circuit board were the issue. That is where the single wire ignitor/flame sensor (this ignitor also sends the flame signal back to the board) terminated on the board. Had to replace the whole board. Tried a new ignitor first, checked voltages and cleaned the whole system before I found the circuit board problem. Be sure to unplug/unwire all voltage sources from board before doing anything.

Thanks for posting. After a lot of trying Found this explanation. For me, it ,as thé wire of the sensor, but you set me on thé right path.

Is there anything that does work on this model? I have one and it’s such a POS. It struggles to get below 50°. You’re lucky if the freezer will freeze anything. Now for some reason my fan was working I came home now the fan won’t run and I’m pretty sure the thermal breaker is bad now. Not sure why. It was working just before I brought it home from the campground.

@@whatfreedom7 we traded in our camper that had this model, otherwise not sure what issues we might have ran into. Got a newer camper so hopefully we shouldn't have any issues like that for a little while. 🤞

@@chancybernsonwe should too. I have not had this problem….. yet but there is some light discoloration at the bottom. I’d say eventually mine will do it too.

I really don't remember. I just looked up the model of my camper and what replacement board it takes. It wasn't the exact board I took out, one very small difference but it was the replacement. Just make sure you get right board.

Did the check light on the front of the fridge come on after igniting? I'm having a similar issue with my 2351. Mine will act like the pilot is lit and can feel warmth coming from exterior vents but the interior of the fridge does not cool. The check light on the front of the fridge never comes on. Thanks!

You might have something else going on. If you're feeling heat, there's got to be a flame. Just make sure you can see it lit. It usually took at least a whole day to get cold. If it's not getting cold at all, and you have a flame, I'm not sure what that could be.
