tips: fill your deck with 1 star and 2 star cards. Cactuar might be the best card, run two of them. Mulligan aggressively for cactuar. Cactuar top left, titan right under is a very strong opening. Follow it up usually with putting another card immediately to Titan's right, like sweeper, riot guard, etc. Always try to be developing your board while cutting off your opponent's board development.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to make this video for us. This was absolutely phenomenal, and your voice is very soothing and hot ASF 🤣🤣🤣. I was able to take everyone out due to you, you're the best 🔥🔥
I really appreciate that your videos are instructional and guided instead of just being bullet points to be fulfilled. If I have to look elsewhere to get what is indicated in the video then I'm just wasting my time. Thanks man!
I'm going to save this to watch later, but I have to confess... card-collector mini-games of any sort give me major ick. I just don't care for them. At all. I ignored Triple Triad, I ignored Gwent in Witcher 3, and I've never been huge on stand-alone titles like MtG, Hearthstone, YuGiOh, etc. Just not my jam. At all. The fact that they chose to gate trophies and rewards behind this silly game has me a bit salty tbh. But...I'll try, against my better judgement or good taste. No shade against you personally, love the few pieces of content I've seen, and thanks for making it available. More just raging against this (and to a lesser extent, Fort Condor) as strategy-based mini-games just don't appeal to me personally.
Bruh ..I legit spent 2 fuckin hours trying to beat Neil. I finally gave up, continued the game and said I'd just wing the tournament. Well, I made a separate save file just in case...ended up coming back to it after playing the main story for about 3 hours. Tell me how tf I beat Neil Michaela and Cameron all within 20 minutes and only lost once to Michaela...like for real. What the effing eff....😅
I was sure I got everything but I never went back to Kalm so I missed Phoenix card, damn... And I think Shiva spawns aren't random, she spawns 2 power card on 1 pawn spaces, 4 power card on 2 pawns spaces and 6 power card on 3+ pawns spaces.
Tips that have helped me. 1. Try to start with at least 4x 1 pawn cards. 2. Avoid making first moves that are directly next to them. It's more effective to engage by countering them if they try to push you. 3. 1 pawn cards with side spaces like security officer can be really good for countering. 4. Anticipate their next move when attacking. 5. If you lose too much, try remembering your opponents' card effects or read them.
It’s amazing how powerful the Security Officer card is. I always save my second one for later in the match and it has won me 90% of my matches by causing the enemy to be locked out of moves.
I've found focusing on the benefits of Chocobo and Moogle can be sketchy but rewarding. Catuar, Mu, Crab with C&M is definitely the core. After that it's using what good 1 and 2 pawns you can get your hands on.
Its actually so fun ive spent hours just playing against the opponents in the game for practice as well as its just so fun they could sell this as a legit physical card game in real life
I didn’t do any of the queens blood games throughout the game until the damn tournament after queens blood, and lemme say, it was fucking brutal! Took me 5 hours to get through that tournament last night, didn’t go to bed till 3 😭
@@M1sterE321 it was hard to understand at first, once I looked up some videos last night it kinda clicked and I regret it big time smfh last night sucked 😂
@@M1sterE321far from fun Lmmfao Being forced into a mini game is never enjoyment And they force you 27 times in ff7 rebirth This game let everyone down except fan boy simps It’s not a good game overall. Has bright spots but falls flat in every major category of gaming
@@M1sterE321 also you can skip that garbage ass tournament on the boat by speaking with the lady at the desk and just forfeiting. There’s no reason to play queens blood as no equipment, materia or materials are tied to it. Save yourself from the extreme boredom and just skip it. The games still not good enough.
The Queen's Blood tournament was easy. Till date, the slightly challenging ones are the reverese position game and the 3 consecutive game to get Sephiroth
"An extremely difficult Queen's Blood tournament." Uh... did we play the same game here? Not to say it was a pushover, but even I passed all the opponents with relative ease. I did have some good cards, including Titan and Chocobo/Moogle, but I don't even think they factored in that hard to victory.
@@PhillyBeatzGames That's the thing, I'm not very proficient or even all that good at it. Even if you lose a few times, it's extremely easy to brute force your way through QB matches with a little trial and error. Fort Condor, on the other hand, that's genuinely difficult without a true strategy.
Not sure why but Shut Up and Drive card pack was not available when i arrived in Junon. It opened up once I got to the Crows Nest from the vending machine.
This game is straight up dookie. No useful info is relayed in the tutorial and any games actually won I have no idea how. Good on you for making this video as it least explains stuff.
Im in gongaga but I've been using this deck since gold saucer. It revolves around the destroying cards to empower all my others. Only time ive lost was me making several really stupid choices back to back. Mandragora x2 Archdragon x2 Heatseeker x2 Deathclaw x2 Tonberry king x1 (can be replaced with another Cockatrice) Joker x2 Terror of the deep Grandhorn x2
Cappawire is one of the best cards in the game. You can place it down early game for a cheap 1/3 with no negatives. Or use it mid to late game for its effect. Never had any issues with it negativley affecting my own board. Tried the chocobo for a bit but felt it was too situational. breezed through the queensblood tornament winning multiple game with over 30 points.
Couldn't win a single game against anyone before watching, and I just absolutely demolished Thorin. Thanks so much for the tips! The most helpful advice I've seen on improving your Queen's Blood by far.
@@PhillyBeatzGames I dont say they may want, but you just said that you must complete it when and you have to play cards minigame before that chapter, and well, thats not true O_o Cards are totally optional, and every not optional minigame can be completed just with the lowest score. The reward is totally funny and worth to be watched tho
Extremely difficult my rear... I was able to beat all six, including the secret challenger, with the STARTING DECK. Yes, it took a few restarts but I made them look like 'newbs' as the saying goes.
Youre wrong about the boat part. I did NOT want to play YugiOh, I wanted to play Final Fantasy 7, so I participated in ONE card game on the boat and lost BADLY against a common bloke, then I went and talked with those at the bar giving me the option to forfeit, and did so happily. THEN a cutscene and after it I had to play against my dog. Lost 0-45. What I did lose story wise is that I have no clue who the emo girl is, but I have seen her sitting at a table way later in the game.
I've really struggled with QB, i tried to go back after finishing the MSQ. The opening 3 opponents in kalm shut me out. The opponent seems to always counter me. Trying to follow but still getting roflstomped by the kalm opponents. I seem to never be able to place anything past the 2nd row, like i can't seem to be able to place anything, the opponent always has more places to put their cards.
I don't understand the Mindflayer game. The AI will use it early and just spam sacrifice cards 15+ points over and over, I'm on attempt 20+ following your guide and a few other builds, but no one has talked about an actual strat yet to beat this game. Anyone have a counter to this card?
This game still sucks the life out of me, even with this video. There’s obviously something I’m missing, but I’m still having to replay the ‘easier’ opponents about five times each. I REALLY don’t like this card game. BUT! Thanks for trying anyways. Looks like I’m doing the ‘wing it’ til I don’t have to bother method. 😂
Yep i messed up and had to go back to a previous game save to get both these cards done it thank for the tip. I had to back play which was very frustrating frustrating.
At the start of the game I was feeling like buying the store packs and cards but with my low gil I was stingy with spending but now a but further in I got like 14k so they feel cheap enough to buy now.
Hey Phil add to one of your videos that Navalan in North Corel is a Blood Knight and in order to challenge him you have to proceed pass the Gold Saucer into the Corel Prison and Defeat one of the 6 rank Players to become a Blood Knight there and when Fast Travel is Available come back to Defeat him. All the Players you defeat previous to Navalan don't promote you to Blood Knight
i have a strategy that is more brain dead, and if you space it well, you dominate every single time lol i'm so evil. And not just any domination, I obliterate them
Honestly didn’t think I’d like the game, but the card system is legit. It’s not no FF8 card game, but it’s unique. Sucks that winning doesn’t warrant a card from the loser.
I did be sure to not let the player take your spots that how you will loose with no move and if you have 6 or so there is 1 card you should have to end the game by playing it
My strat for winning this is I always make my opponent put card at 2nd column so a red light will pop up at the middle column then I will counter it by so his red light will over right by my green light so I can secure the middle column
@@christopheradams4931 but there's not... There's only the original Card Royalty trophy but not one for completing the entire QB side quest ... I mean, sure there's the Complete all quests trophy but there should be one just for that, imo.
Your right. I could have restarted the game to make it look perfect and dominate more but I wanted to share how I play even when I’m not optimized. Thank you so much for pointing that out to me and sharing what you would have done :)
Thank you so much for making this video but I left Junon after completing all I defeated all of the Queens blood challengers. However my question to you is I left Junon and I did not unlock a lot of the sides quest in the region and I'm wondering if I'm able to return? I already won the tournament on Shinra-8 cruise ship and I'm making my way through where I just met up with Tifa again which. I captured my chocobo in that region but I did not complete the side quest to unlock the fast travel. Just wondering when I'm going to be able to return. I've been asking a lot of people and nobody's giving me an answer so if you're able to help me that would be great. Great video by the way
@@PhillyBeatzGames omg thank you so much for answering that. I have been searching yet been enjoying your videos. I really like how you play in showcase what to do and how to do things. I'm definitely adding you right now
great guide actually telling us your moves and stuff unlike others just playing with no explaining, but how did you get to play at crows nest without beating the 2 twin boys at junon i had to battle them before being allowed to play at crows nest
@@PhillyBeatzGames Thanks for the reply , nice you took the time out to do so hope you continue for your detailed card play guides it's always good to get a different way to play since later matches get tricky sometimes loving the whole game though. I didn't mean quests at kalm lol normally you have to play each available player that opens the next set and to win the card that they offer to enhance your deck i make sure I've played them all
Not to be "that guy" but I'm gonna. You don't have to do it all before then. I mean should you? yeah if you want all the cards on time, but you can return later on. I didn't complete all of the Junon games. I got stuck on the twins and was like eh screw this I'll do it later. there were a couple players left. Then, as a level 2 card player, I burned through the championship. Just gotta be smart. But the chocobo, Cactuar, the crab thing that has a bonus position above it are all game changers. if you can manage to play it, the magic pot is also great since it has 4 bonus space options. Just gotta play to your strengths, and using the Point addition technique carried me. you can do it! :D
Thanks for the help. The only real problem here is; with random card battles, no two battles are the same. So ever though you show off your strategy, unless you can show all versions of how a game will go and how to beat it, all card game tips can only cover what you are dealing with at the time. I still found myself resetting matches until I was able to get the upper hand.
You do NOT need to win the tournament to progress you can forfeit. That’s what I did at round 4 because I wanted to actually play the game and not a stupid card game they keep pushing down my throat
I did the same thing dude I got to round 4 and just forfeit cuz I was getting frustrated from it I just wanna play the game not a card game its frustrating for me I'm not a fan of in game card games
hear me out: what if, ff7 rebirth is hinting on a ff9 remake... the card game tournament, chocobo hot &cold and prob much more refferences to ff9 (im still in 2nd region)
I'm so happy I came across this before I left junon, I would have been so sad bc I did NOT have the patience at first to learn properly and would have gotten even more upset finding out there's a tournament on the boat 😂 anyways very helpful guide, been winning a lot more games!
@@smegspreaderor just be able to never have to play any mini games at all? Its most definitely trash game design to add playtime to the overall game Games bloated so bad it makes the game unplayable for 99.9% of real ff7 fans
Thank you for the guide, will use it for 2nd play through XD i dont know that win all rounds on the ship will get the collectible item for johnny. But i hate the 5th round player with overpower card so much that i retry 5-6 times to beat her with the basic deck + 2 or 4 basic pack buy from shop. The reward not that good for someone not do all the tropy though :(
I haven’t played one queens blood game since I was forced. I haven’t done any mini games since I was forced. I’m still overpowered destroying everything with zero challenge on hard mode. None of the mini game rewards matter at all Time materia? HAHAHHAHAHAHA PLEEEAAASSEEE it’s atrocious I have way better set ups and haste is useless Stop is useless The material is underwhelming in every way in this game Beat it and I’m never coming back Story was ass Ending was ass Gameplay was meh Exploration was terribly boring Characters and progression were boring This game flopped
