Finally!!!! An original Dominican spaghetti recipe ❤❤(that's what my husband said) I been dying to learn how to make this since I'm Puetorican and my husband Dominican and he loves and misses the sazon from his country but never seen a good recipe and I just sent it to him and he said "yes that's it baby, make them to day pls" so I'm so excited to go home and try it. Love your channel by the way ❤❤❤
@@Chefzeecooks i arrived late to your channel. I am so glad i came across your channel has been shared with my whole family. I have done this dish so many times and each time its amazing! Thank you so much! You are God sent godbless you. You saving my marriage girl!!! Barriguita Llena corazon contento ya tu sabe, mi esposo esta muy contento!! 🤣....I am definitely going to try every dish on your channel.
I'm an Italian-American from Jersey who happens to love me some spaghetti prepared this way, especially whenever there's some salami or Vienna sausages thrown into the mix, not to mention an ice cold 2 liter bottle of Red Rock Merengue in the fridge. Dominican style lasagna is really delicious as well. Unsolicited testimonial...✌🏻
@Joseph Dobrozsi The Asians, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese & Thai have been finessing "Spaghetti"noodles since the beginning of time! Every culture has a noodle dish, even the Arabs.
@@Chefzeecooks wow, the beach. That's a true Dominican tradition. I remember that, and my mom would actually add triangle fried salami/salchichon. 💝💝💕💕
I’m Colombian and my partner is Dominican. This is on today’s menu. Love all your recipes. Makes my blended family very happy. To be able to make Colombian and Dominican food is amazing.
THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH! My mom used to make this spaghetti for me growing up and she passed away 13 years ago. I have tried before to make her spaghetti but it never came out like hers. Your recipe is amazing and came out just like hers! Thank you again and god bless! Huge fan!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We also add chunks of meat to the skillet before the onions and garlic.. It could be chicken stripes, pork belly, jam, any sausage you like.. Or you can add all of them 😅! It's a very easy to combine dish in Dominican Republic
I have great memories of my mom teaching me how to cook this same dish the only difference is that she used capers instead of olives. Yummy!! Thanks for sharing!
So good!!! I made it tonight for dinner and my Domincan Hubby wanted 3rds. I did add fresh oregano from our garden. And I served it with white rice and beans on the side. Thank you so much!!!!!
I'm so jealous!!!! I'm still waiting for the oregano in our garden to grow some more. I know it had to have been DELICIOUS! Thanks for watching and trying the recipe :)
Chef Zee Cooks You're so welcome!!! We started our garden in one of our spare bedrooms. We used growing lamps and all. I'm sure your oregano will be awesome!
Looks fantastic! Nothing worse than making red sauce and it being scarce and not saucy enough. We use evaporated milk in sauces too, here in Greece, sometimes. My only note is, try frying the tomato paste in the oil for a couple minutes, before adding the tomato sauce. Brings out some great flavor. And a suggestion: try adding some oregano and cinnamon to the sauce! They add some great aroma.
I want to thank you for making this video. You really change my life. I’m dominican and born in America married to a military soldier stationed in Korea. Thanks so much I learned a lot.
I obsoletely love your channel...i moved yesrs ago away from my family with my American Husband and have not been able to make it for my self without mami’s help but your channel has helped me get all my cravings out and my unborn baby is loving it...thanks for putting in the work and making it exactly like my abuelita used to when i was a child
Chef Zee, girl you are coming thru! The more videos I watch, the more I'm learning, lol! There was only one Dominican restaurant in my small town, which is now closed. So thanks to you, I can make the food I've missed! Yes, I'm Haitian & we have great food as well, but I've never been close-minded about great food. I just can't see enclosing myself in a box & not trying the deliciousness from different cultures, it would be such a shame! Keep up the good work! :-)
Thanks love! So happy that you like the videos. Shout out to Haiti. Here on my channel, I like to celebrate all cultures especially my fellow Caribbeans. There are so many similarities between Haitian and Dominican Food that it only makes sense to celebrate it!!! On another note... one of my favorite Haitian foods is The Black Rice! Omg! I eat the whole pot by myself! Lol
God bless you my sister of Christ. I was so happy you showed how to make spaghetti cause the lord knows I’m not a good cooker when it comes about combining seasons.
WEEEEEYYY LA VELDADERA EPAGUETADA PA LO TIGUERE NO BULTO!!! My italian husband would be offended if I ever cook this at home... but I dont care, I will eventually tu sabe con uno totonsito al lao y si tengo suerte de encontra salami, fuá! su pal de ruedita picaita de salami frito! thanks Chef Zee!
You're welcome!! Lol This just made me smile. My step-father is Italian as well and my mom converted him over to the dark side lol He loves Dominican Spaghetti now!
Thank You Chef Zee for sharing your recipes. Can you please make a video of spaghetti with Chicken?. Thanks for your time and teaching us your secrets.
My husband is Dominican and he loves this. Since i dont want to poison him with my bad cooking, soy una gringa lol, ive come to check your recipes, they are all fabulous. Gracias para compartir eso. Xo

Soo good! Made it tonight sub the leche with creme france because its what I had and added veggies! Its amazing and soo simple thank you for the sugar trick its truly made a difference!
I looove dominican spaghetti. I ate it at my teacher’s home and it was sooo good with platanos. I wish to make this but I don’t have all the ingredients here where I live. 😢
I tried this. Really great. I like the extra vegs. FYI: sazon will trigger a nut allergy. Husb tried 1 grain. I didn't put in sauce. It is a seed. Those allergic don't use. Great recipe. Evap milk really makes it a creamy sauce. Pleasantly surprised by that.
I didn’t have butter snd substitute with Mayo, came out so good still. Thanks for the video! I’ve been missing my moms cooking, and now I’m making it like her thanks to chef zee
Hola, quisiera saber que se le puede hechar a este spaghetti? Algunos en los comentarios mencionaron salami. Mi esposo va a querer algun tipo de carne con esto. Gracias.
I am so happy I stumbled across this recipe! I have tried a few of your recipes and all have been a hit. Keep them coming. Update: i tried it. I added a bit extra of the evaporated milk because the amount u added just seemed a bit more than the recipe. I had to add a tad bit of bouillon. Otherwise pretty good.
Hi Chef. Zee, growing up the lady next door from us (Chea was like my mother. my mom's best friend) she would make it just for me. I loved it. thank you
Girlllll I am Puerto Rican and I am married to an Afro American Brother. His Mom cooked spaghetti with out meat. They were poor. He loved this . Thank you mama’s.
Hi chef Zee I tried this recipe last night and it was to die forrr!!!! . Will definitely try this recipe again!! I would love for you to post a video on how to back ribs!
Hi Chef zee, I tried this recipe last night with tostones and OMG it was so delicious and sooo easy!! I think making the tostones were more work than the spaghetti. Thank you so much for the recipe! I cant wait for lunch lol....
Lmao this just made me chuckle. I always forget just how easy this dish really is until I start making it myself. So happy that you tried it and liked it. I'm tempted to make this dish today with zuchinni noodles. Lol
When you say "starchy water", it's literally just the water you boiled the pasta in? Or did you add something more to the water? Also, do you add salt to the pasta when boiling, or does all the flavor come from the sauce you've prepared?
Hi Chef zee, I really love all you recipes, I always look forward for something new and a twist on Hispanic food. I would like to see sancocho ☺and Where do you get your pots from??
Thanks love!!! Sancocho recipe is coming VERY VERY soon. I get my pots from all over. The Calderos I usually get at little discount stores out by me. I'll link where you can find them online as well. And this blue pot in particular was a Christmas Gift from my boyfriends family
Give it a try. The subtle creaminess is everything. Every nationality makes it their own way. I have fun trying the different styles. Makes dinner pretty interesting lol Thanks for watching!
Irma please do this dish just as she says..i too have NEVER tried it with milk..But is so subtle that you don't know its there.. don't put a lot, just enough and it transforms into creamy greatness
I am Italian, Ive never cooked spaghetti like this but my husband is Dominican. I want to surprise him with this dish tonight, what kind of meat goes with?
You can serve this with chicken or salami. Those are two meats (if any) that we typically pair this with along with some tostones... which, I know-- starch on starch lol
