I miss Mr. Dunn too. I never missed a show. He was a distinguished journalist and a man full of grace, charm and dignity. I am comforted by the fact that he is now in heaven with his beloved daughter. RIP.
My heart goes out to the Levine family. NO ONE deserves to lose their child like that. They were cruelly repaid for their kindness with the murder of their daughter. And the children have no mother. Shameful! And the father is just as wretched as the son!
In this case, "The Tree didn't fall far from the Apple". Thankfully for the Levines determination, this cold-hearted killer was caught and his father confessed to disposing of his grand-children's mother.
It's so sad, poor woman and after all what she and her family done to turn him into a successful person, what a way to repay them. I'm glad he was caught, and I really hope they did not release the snitch, even if he helped them he looks too dangerous, but I guess he wouldn't have done without a good deal to benefit himself, sometimes to capture one they release another.
@Rocio, Yes I agree, two scumbags! His dad actually helped his son cover up that beautiful mom of two lovely children's murder, how could he do that?!😠😠

The people at the top are so fucking corrupt. All the time. It seems like the more money they have, the worse they are morally. With that much money, why isn't divorce a viable option? People with less money pay to get divorced all the time. That's what normal people do. It's not like they have to work that hard to get it, their funds are usually acquired off the backs of other less priviliged people.. PRIVILIGE.. It makes people evil because for them to have to go by the rules and live within the system like everybody else feels like oppression. Sad. I'd rather be poor..
With all due respect for the murdered victim, I must say this is the funniest crime show I have ever seen. I am sad it took 10 long years to throw Perry in jail but I am glad he is finally contained. Can you believe he is complaining about his jail cell size and that his deceased wife's biological children be sent to a stepmother?! I just hated Perry since I saw him in this video. I just knew he is nuts.
Like father, like son. A tragedy where a mother lost her life, an elderly couple lost their daughter, and 2 little children lost both, mother and father. i agree with Charysse Blackman. Father and son are scumbags
Did anyone else pause it at 14:52 and try to read his bizarre letter? No words are strong enough to convey my utter disgust and contempt for this "man."
How Perry got an attractive wife is hard to fathom. He gradually morphed into a pure sociopath, though it could have been in a state of latency all along. The State had a very weak case against him until he stupidly solicited another inmate to kill the Levines. The Mexican wife is now stuck raising her 2 kids plus the one she had with him all by herself. Wonder what she thought of him after she found out that he was a wife killer.
I don't think he morphed into a psychopath, I think he'd been one for a LONG time. Those things (narcissism, borderline personality, anti-social personality, etc...) are set up very early in life, around the age of four for many of them. The relationship to the parents, and the traumas that have or haven't occurred will have already set that in motion. He saw her as a piggy bank from the beginning. He never related to anyone in his life as a person, nor did he love anyone. He wouldn't have been able to attack his children in this most profoundly negative way (murdering their mother, and attempting to murder their grandparents), if he loved them. He relates to people as objects who are measured in worth by what "value" they either can or cannot bring him. He was livid that his "piggy bank" had the audacity to ruin his plans, and cut off his cash flow. And the kids are just pawns, to use to control and torture. He might've been able to fool people well, but that's not surprising. Psychopaths are generally adept at grooming/charming their victims/targets.
MissJessyeNorman I had stated that Perry had morphed into a pure 'sociopath' (not psychopath) that is now referred to in the DSM as anti-personality disorder, though I still use the term in my practice (www.laurencelsmith.com). Psychopathy is an evolving process in the developmental construct of a person.Psychopaths are generally regarded as not being able to cognitively distinguish between right and wrong, and Perry knew right from wrong. Familial environment of course plays a role in the formation of one's personae. We really can't go back as far as age 4 in diagnosing potential psychopathy as the child is still going through their psychosexual development. In cases where people become criminals like Perry it is an evolving process marked by desperation, self aggrandizement, and impulse control, etc.
Actually, the terms are often used interchangeably. Psychopaths are generally considered more ordered both in appearance and in their minds. They are able to tell right from wrong. I've never heard that distinction made. They're simply able to present a veneer that is acceptable to the public--and are therefore more effective at manipulation and subterfuge, making them more dangerous. I used psychopath instead of sociopath, because of that. There is also the idea that some sociopaths are created through (nurture), or rather lack of it, whereas psychopaths are born (nature). Though I don't necessarily subscribe to this particular idea. I think there could be a neurological predisposition, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with proper social intervention. How to Tell a Sociopath from a Psychopath Understanding (Article from Psychology Today) important distinctions between criminal sociopaths and psychopaths Published on January 22, 2014 by Scott A. Bonn, Ph.D. in Wicked Deeds Many forensic psychologists, psychiatrists and criminologists use the terms sociopathy and psychopathy interchangeably. Leading experts disagree on whether there are meaningful differences between the two conditions. I contend that there are clear and significant distinctions between them. The fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), released by the American Psychiatric Association in 2013, lists both sociopathy and psychopathy under the heading of Antisocial Personality Disorders (ASPD). These disorders share many common behavioral traits which lead to the confusion between them. Key traits that sociopaths and psychopaths share include: A disregard for laws and social mores A disregard for the rights of others A failure to feel remorse or guilt A tendency to display violent behavior In addition to their commonalities, sociopaths and psychopaths also have their own unique behavioral characteristics, as well. Sociopaths tend to be nervous and easily agitated. They are volatile and prone to emotional outbursts, including fits of rage. They are likely to be uneducated and live on the fringes of society, unable to hold down a steady job or stay in one place for very long. It is difficult but not impossible for sociopaths to form attachments with others. Many sociopaths are able to form an attachment to a particular individual or group, although they have no regard for society in general or its rules. In the eyes of others, sociopaths will appear to be very disturbed. Any crimes committed by a sociopath, including murder, will tend to be haphazard, disorganized and spontaneous rather than planned. Psychopaths, on the other hand, are unable to form emotional attachments or feel real empathy with others, although they often have disarming or even charming personalities. Psychopaths are very manipulative and can easily gain people’s trust. They learn to mimic emotions, despite their inability to actually feel them, and will appear normal to unsuspecting people. Psychopaths are often well educated and hold steady jobs. Some are so good at manipulation and mimicry that they have families and other long-term relationships without those around them ever suspecting their true nature. When committing crimes, psychopaths carefully plan out every detail in advance and often have contingency plans in place. Unlike their sociopathic counterparts, psychopathic criminals are cool, calm, and meticulous. Their crimes, whether violent or non-violent, will be highly organized and generally offer few clues for authorities to pursue. Intelligent psychopaths make excellent white-collar criminals and "con artists" due to their calm and charismatic natures. The cause of psychopathy is different than the cause of sociopathy (1). It is believed that psychopathy is the result of “nature” (genetics) while sociopathy is the result of “nurture” (environment). Psychopathy is related to a physiological defect that results in the underdevelopment of the part of the brain responsible for impulse control and emotions. Sociopathy, on the other hand, is more likely the product of childhood trauma and physical/emotional abuse. Because sociopathy appears to be learned rather than innate, sociopaths are capable of empathy in certain limited circumstances but not in others, and with a few individuals but not others. Psychopathy is the most dangerous of all antisocial personality disorders because of the way psychopaths dissociate emotionally from their actions, regardless of how terible they may be. Many prolific and notorious serial killers, including the late Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy, and Dennis Rader ("Bind, Torture, Kill" or BTK) are unremorseful psychopaths. Psychopathic killers view their innocent victims as inhuman objects to be tormented and violated for their amusement. Contrary to popular mythology, most serial killers are not mentally ill or "evil" geniuses. See my related article: www.psychologytoday.com/blog/wicked-deeds/201406/serial-killer-myth-1-theyre-mentally-ill-or-evil-geniuses I offer shocking insights into the twisted minds of infamous serial predators such as David Berkowitz (Son of Sam) and Dennis Rader (BTK), who I corresponded with, in my new book Why We Love Serial Killers: The Curious Appeal of the World's Most Savage Murderers. MissJessyeNorman Being in the psychology field for more than 22 years after getting a Masters Degree in criminal psychology from the University of Chicago (www.laurencelsmith.com) I rarely read the nouveau publication 'Psychology Today'. The field of psychology was hijacked by its liberal element a few decades ago when homosexuality was changed from being the deviancy that it is to being perfectly normal sexuality. The articles that you notated and/or provided links to I found to be contradictory outside of the over-lapping elements. I showed them to colleagues at the University of Chicago and the concurred with me. I have the current DSM and some of us traditionalists chuckled upon finding out that the term sociopath was replaced with the more politically correct term, anti-personality disorder. Some of the term definitions were actually transposed or in reverse of what they should have been. I am not going to spend the time to differentiate the characteristics twixt psychopathic and sociopathic behavior as I stopped giving lectures some time ago. In my soon to be published book 'The Last Christmas of JonBenet Ramsey' I devote an entire chapter to forms of sociopathy that I doubt will be in any edition of Psychology Today.' It is apparent you are promoting Dr. Bonn from Drew university, a university that none of my colleagues are familiar with. I'll stick with the leading people in the psychology field from the more elite universities who are in my circle. But, I wish him and you well in your endeavors. Sincerely, Laurence L. Smith 18 year MENSA member Psychotherapist/Auteur .
If she had been poor and black instead of rich and Jewish they certainly wouldn't have mobilized the police academy or sent up helicopters with heat detectors.
All I know is if something like this ever happened to one of my beautiful daughters I'd hunt the man to the ends of the earth and if I had to I'd end his sick miserable life whether in a crowded street in front of cameras or in a deserted place his ass would be mine and shame on anyone who thinks this scumbag piece of shit didn't do it
sounds 'HEROIC' ...well, at least until you use YOUR BRAIN. you're family would miss more than just your daughter, as you would be in prison for 1st degree MURDER..
Yeah lets hope it dont happen right. Also i dont call it heroic i call it something that would kill me inside anyway knowing this animal is still breathing the same air as me.
Levine Sr. one tough dad :) He and Mrs. Levine look so happy with the children, many blessing to them. As for perry he is an opportunist, egocentric and a stupid fool. He loved the money and lifestyle, sadly never loved Janet. The dude even looks crazy.
Can't believe they have Fletcher Long's fat ass on here. the producers of this show must have been hard up to have interviewed this loser. he was as crooked as March was. he and Carrie Gassaway were disbarred a few months ago after being convicted of extortion. they tried to charge someone $50,000 to read a will. when the victim didn't pay up, they had her arrested and then it blew up and back fired on them, lol. Good riddance.
Perry March was going to write about about the perfect murder. I guess he has all the time in the world now that he is sitting in prison until he passes away! I hope you ROT Mr. March!!!
He's a psychopathic Narcissist. My ex Brent is capable of this kind of thing. They do deplorable things & they play dumb as though they didn't do it. They have a difficult time admitting to themselves the deplorable things that they do. They're also misogynists. They hate women.
THIS IS TO YOU! MYAMAR. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT WOMAN IN MEXICO SHOULD HAVE THE CHILDREN INSTEAD THEY GRAND MOTHER AND GRAND FATHER? THOSE GRAND PARENTS ARE THE ONE SHOULD RAISE THOSE CHILDREN, AND I AM SO GLAD THAT THEY ARE FINALLY IN GOOD AND LOVING HANDS. AND IT'S A SHAME ON YOU DON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR FATHER KILLED THEIR. AND SHE WAS SOME ONCE BE LOVE IT DAUGHTER. ANYWAY WHY WOULD YOU WORRY ABOUT MEXICAN WIFE KEEPING THE CHILDREN? MAY BE FOR BREAD AND BUTTER????
Soon as that fucker ripped out the hard drive, you know he's guilty as sin, since the broad had been on the computer. Then he's asking for a hug, cause his wife's missing? Why didn't OJ get a hug after Nicole turned up dead?
M K - A rotting corpse will tend to be slightly warmer than the ground surrounding it. A *FLIR* (Forward Looking Infrared Radiometer) camera "sees" heat, not visible light. So anything warmer (or colder) than the ground temperature, will show-up very clearly.
Hardest case to prove murder was illustrated in 'Breaking Bad.' That kid on the bike. They dissolved his body in acid and his bike. Flushed him from the face of the earth without a trace. His picture wound up on the side of a milk carton. His parents were powerless.
So sad. I was disgusted by that ding dong Burk reporter portraying the parents as foolish for not reporting daughter's disappearance earlier - what does she think the police would have done? how is she a reporter and that ignorant? An adult has the legal right to decide to disappear- even mothers of small children. if there is ANY hint that someone has left of their own free will, the police won't touch a case. the police would never have acted before the 12 days were long up anyway- crummy move to make loving, caring, concerned parents look bad when that creep was the villain.
Im not saying she deserved death. I do think it is weird that they are shocked at his behavior. They even admit that he was a mooch the entire time they knew him, even BEFORE they got married. What...did they think he was magically gonna change?
+HotCuppaCoffee Yes, it is sickening. Both blacks and whites contribute to this race war. Until people stop these kind of comments, the war will never be over.
Almost every single racist comment I've seen on the Internet, since using it in 1995, has come from white male Americans. Almost every single one. And that hasn't changed. Anyway I don't see the racist comments you guys are referring to so they must have been flagged and removed.
HotCuppaCoffee are you kidding me? you don't think all this talk about "white male" and "white privilege" are racist? it's become mainstream to hate on white males. when you group people together such as you have and day things like that, well sir that's racism. get real man.
i believe that his father had something to do with a murder he done,as my quiestion is why is the father living in mexico=answer hes run away from hiding his own misdoings!
Her husband was very stupid .. he had everything , he had a perfect life and a beautiful wife .. plus a good living standard .. what else did he wanted ?
..I think the old man lie to them in where the body really was he though with no body there was no much they could do he knew where the body really was. investigator should've know that.
The child asking his father:" Daddy, Daddy is true that the mighty ca$h can make a road in the ocean?" ..."Son the mighty ca$h made a road for me even in the p%^^& of your mother". PS: Enough said.
Let me say, "I am NOT a Lawyer" That being said, i have some concerns with how the Police from Nashville could so easily deport both father and son ? I mean, why did't they fight extradition ? I always hear on these types of shows about people either waiving extradition or fighting extradition ! It seems to me the police from the U.S. took these suspects from Mexico illegally ? Now, please understand i am NOT on the side of the Murderers, i'm simply asking if i have a legal point here ...... Thank's for any replies !
It depends on which country the criminal resides in. There is treaty between both USA and Mexico and that is why it''s easier to extradite Perry from Mexico. If Perry ran to China, I'll say the chance of extradition would be zero. Same thing with when China has some corrupted officials went to US, Canada, or British etc. with billion of corrupted money but cannot have the other governments cooperate with China government to extradite the criminals. Extradition works both and mutual way and depends on which country you are talking about.
You're clearly arrogant. There's rotten people in every culture. Many Jewish people just happen to have a certain inexplicable strain of intelligence, talent and ability to find opportunities that others overlook.
Police said u did it cose their small brains get ache anytime forced to tink,so they always try to get the easy one ,if iu crak during shocking interrogation..for them is job done even if they know u are innocent
Weird looking bug eyed little guy like Perry should've been happy to have such a hot wife like Janet, but it wasn't enough for him. And then after killing her for wanting to divorce him for cheating, he tried to have her parents killed as well? What a freak!
