Bought my car from carvana and they've been great customer services fixed anything I had a problem with even got me two new tires .... Better then a dealship imo... do your homework before you buy a car but caravana offer very nice cars. I took a day off from work to receive my car and they fail to deliver that day... they paid me a days worth of my work pay to make up for the day I loss from work... hands down best car buying process I've had..
Just bought a car from Carvana, I'm taking mine to be inspected and they have agreed to pay for any needed repairs🤷🏿♀️ I once bought a car, and couldn't get the dealer to do minor repairs just a few days later. They haven't treated me like they're doing me a favor by "letting" me buy a car, like other dealers have. They have treated me like I'm a valued customer. It's been the best car buying experience I've ever had so far.
@@Izzywizzy74 hopefully I remember to update this but, It took me longer than I planned to get my car inspected. There were some minor issues but it's still processing. I am still enjoying my car!
I bought an Audi from Carvana. Scanned it and sent it to the dealership to do all the covered repairs. Milking the warranty while I can. They’re even paying for my rental. Carvana isnt that bad lol.
So what you're saying is you bought the car cuz and it comes with like I take a hundred day warranty if I'm correct cuz I'm looking at an S550 now when it comes with 100 day warranty so if I purchase the car I should bring it to a mechanic and let him look over if anything needs to be prepared I should let them fix it while I have the warranty
I bought a challenger from Caravana for a steal then sold it and made money....The experience was quick and easy and when it arrived they covered $4k worth of bodyshop work for a few tiny scratches from shipping...
They're overpriced. I found a better deal at a dealership. 17k for a 2017 manual jetta with 25k miles. At carvana that would cost around 25k - $27,000. Because of the low mielage.
Great tip on the warranty Scotty, buy it take to a dealer and say it has a warranty. Carvanna will find out real fast what there buying and then selling is junk or not!
I just bought a Kia Sorento from Carvana. I was VERY skeptical but my wife talked me into giving them a try. They gave me over $4000 more for my trade than the local dealers or Carmax. I got the new car from Carvana and took it to a mechanic while still under the 7 day money back guarantee. I couldn't get to the dealer so paid for a local garage to look it over. A factory trained Toyota mechanic went through it top to bottom. Could not find any issues. All fluids were new, good brakes, new tires. Aside from the few chips in the paint that were noted prior to purchase and a couple scuffs on the interior that weren't it is a good car.
I bought my 2016 Honda Accord Coupe V6 from Carvana about 18months ago, seriously no complaints. Took to the mechanic for inspection within the 7 day return policy, all it needed was windshield wipers replaced. Since, all its had was an oil change. Seamless process. Delivered to the house. Plates delivered 21 days later to the house. Highly recommend.
I was thinking about getting a 2016 Honda Civic from them and was just wondering about plates… did you take it to the dealership mechanics or a hole in the wall type of mechanic?
@@goddessbrya888 I dont take my car to the dealership, I have a local mechanic that I trust, have been bringing my cars over the years to them and they are always upfront and honest without overcharging for unnecessary maintenance.
@@dylanmorley4120 so far so good. It's arrived on time with no hiccups. I'm from NY so everything up here has rust on it . This the first vehicle I've ever owned with no rust haha. Drives perfect, plenty of power and the interior has pretty much everything you'd want from asthestetics to fuction/convenience. The only thing I'd say I don't like is the shifter knob. But I already knew I wasn't a fan of that design. There were some minor detailing issues too like some crumbs between seats an stuff like that. We still have 6 days to drive it and we plan on taking it to Chrysler to look it over before that time is up. But yeah man I love the diesel option so much. It sounds badass compared to most jeeps especially grand cherrokee
@@dylanmorley4120 overall I'd give the experience as close to a perfect score as possible because everything has just been so damn easy and convenient with zero stress. I'm thinking about getting a heavy duty truck through carvana next.
Up here in Canada my daughter bought a 2017 -70,000km Grand Cherokee, last week, that had all the options. She paid $40,000 can. It's a good thing she is young and makes good money as a nurse because she's going to need all the time and money to pay for that vehicle.
In Canada we pay almost double the price compared to what those is the US have to pay - new for sure but not entirely sure about used. It’s crazy! Look it up - the same vehicle in Canada vs US.
That motor did sound damn good. Nice looking set up. Scotty helping the common person win at the carvana game by sharing the info. We all owe you more beers than you can drink! 🍺
@@joepierson3859 I had my Nissan Frontier pro-4x truck bed repainted by a shop of my choice under the Carvana warranty. It cost $3800. Covered 100%. They also partially covered new tires. Covered a diff breather and a few other things and waived the $50 out of network fee for all the work since it was at a dealer. That being said, would I do it again? No, they are kind of a pain to deal with. Everything takes to long to resolve. Only reason I bought from Carvana is because my frontier is a 6-speed manual. They are impossible to find near me so I had them deliver one.
I highly doubt if half of those repairs were even needed the dealership just saw a sucker and just did everything they could think of .. You can imagine how much they charged for the tires about double what you would pay in a retail tire shop .. Carvana wished they never sold him that Jeep .. He really lucked out when Carvana paid that repair bill .. That really surprises me since most of these warranties aren't worth the pepper they are written on
Yep, they will find ways to deny the repair request. Just SAVE the money and have it when you need a repair. I have 2 vehicles and have $2,500 saved for repairs. It would cost me 10 times that for those scam warranties because if you don't have problems, you are just throwing your money away and most likely unless it is something not too costly, they will deny the repair.
Great points. That's the first thing that ran across my mind when he said 10k in repairs. Damn dealers wonder why they're dying. If it's true it means Carvana's inspection is hot trash and that CarMax sells better cars. 😂
Yeah I looked up the the carvana 4200 mile warranty literally says it doesn't cover tires or brakes or rotors or scratches..... don't really believe a word of this video.
@@joepierson3859 I was thinking the exact same thing. Even a new car warranty isn't going to cover brakes unless they had maybe less then 5,000 miles and no one covers tires. Plus, I think they would have said bring it back and then taken it to another repair place for a 2nd opinion.
They are. I bought an Audi from them, scanned it, and sent it to the dealership to get everything that’s covered repaired. They’re even paying for my rental lol
In 1973 I bought a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. I drove it several years and had to replace the carb and the driver side motor mount, because I couldn't keep my foot off the gas pedal! Other then that, no problems...wished I still had it, was simple to operate and easy to troubleshoot
It’s my Jeep great suv it honestly needed 10 % off all the stuff they did to it but I won’t complain about new (free) parts the dealer put on , zf 8 speed and 5.7 combo bulletproof love the suv!
@@ngwadivine7036 I reserved the car before it was available once it was available I confirmed the purchase got a pick up date, went to the Carvana location looked at the truck pointed out all of the imperfections that wasn’t listed also pointed out the tires were dry rotted to the Carvana rep signed the paperwork drove off Friday afternoon took it straight to the dealer Monday morning to make sure it was in tip too shape, it’s my second time buying from them I recommend them to everyone because of the warranty guarantee, it’s a awesome company they’ll take care of you… only negative is how long it took for it to be available from when I first reserved it.
@@ScreamingSeal I brought a previous car from them before and about a month after I had it I noticed the tires were dry rotted and had to be replaced, I had to pay close to a grand for 4 new tires out of my pocket, so buying my second time before I even went to pick it up I voiced what happened previously with Carvana and made sure to point out the dry rot at the Carvana plant, the rep told me they could get some new tires on for me the next day at one of their in network shops free of charge, so they ordered them, the next day I took it there they put them on, so it wasn’t the warranty company that replaced my tires under warranty but Carvana itself because I voiced those concerns as far as brakes their was a scratching noise coming from jeep when turning and the dealer replaced those
@@q-chan4764 MY late wife, God Rest her Soul HATED ALL Chrysler products. She told me outright that if I ever came home in any Chrysler product, she'd divorce me on the spot. I know she was serious. She had a Sports Fury that literally fell apart one piece at a time.
My mom just recently purchased a 2016 jeep Cherokee and I gotta say i really don’t understand why people buy them. They aren’t comfortable and they have the reliability of a happy meal wristwatch.
BCM actually does matter - I had a Dodge pickup that, if you got out and closed the door with the engine running, it would lock the doors immediately and lock you out.
I work for Carvana i love my Job and all cars are used as you were aware of at time purchase we give time to return if not satisfied as well as the options to switch your car completely. We work hard everyday to make sure our customers are getting exactly what they want. You didn’t have to keep the car either you could have gave it back lol
So if u buy a car and send it to the garage the first day of getting it like the guy in scotty's video did, then will carvana honor the $0 repair with the 100 day/4100 mile warranty or will the customer be out of pocket for all the repairs the dealership does on the vehicle and is there a list of dealership that work with carvana. I was thinking of buying a mazda 5 mpv minivan and would probably do the same as the guy in the video becuase spending around 15k-20k for a 2014-17 vehicle is scary and i couldnt afford out of pocket repairs right after purchase. My vehicle was totaled and im trying to use the money wisely cuz i can only do it once.
@@ShawnKavanagh This Warranty is Free when purchasing thru Carvana it's like 30 day or 4000 mile warranty. You simply state what is wrong with it that they didn't tell you about when purchasing and it will be fixed.
Scotty, This video raises an interesting question an/or idea in my head, maybe talk to this guy, and other contacts, to find which extended warranty companies, and even which type warranty that they offer, actually are worth the cost, if you do what the owner of this Jeep has done, and make a video of what you’ve found to pass along that information, as from my own experiences, few of these repairs, if any, would likely be covered by most used car warranties, original or extended
I know Carvana uses silver rock as the warranty. when i bought my car they offered two types of coverage. A 3 year or 5 year up to 100,000 miles. if the car was close to 100,000 miles i believe they wont offer that extended warranty but im not 100 percent on that last part since mine had 41000 on the odometer when i bought it.
Hello, I dont know if you can answer this but how is it that Caravan has hundreds of 10+ year old cars with less than 25,000 miles on them. It seems very suspicious as I haven't been able to find one anywhere else . Thanks
@@joking6052 they sell cars that were mainly only used for leases by certified companies. These cars tend to have a lot less mileage on them. You can look up any car on car fax and it gives you all the info. Ours was leased 3 times before being sent to carvana to be sold.
I have to disagree with you Scotty; got my 2016 370z Nismo from Carvana with only 20K miles, and it arrived exactly as shown in the views, two tiny paint chips. The "new" front tires were Chinese brands that lasted 15K miles but I was glad to get rid of them anyway. Cost? FAR below what car dealers and other car lots wanted. Will be getting my wifes car from Carvana next year Scotty.
i’m considering a car from carvana and i just wanna say i am SO glad i stumbled on this video. you have an awesome personality and this was both very entertaining and educational!
Go for it. You have to do your due diligence though. Research the car. Take it to a good mechanic and tell them to find everything. You have to do this in 7 days so you can swap it or return it. Just got my 3rd Carvana car yesterday. Passed the inspection with flying colors and had brand new tires. The very 1st car I got from them was rusted out on the bottom so I swapped. The next 3 have been cherry.
@@Chevy243 you get a 90-day warranty. If you find anything wrong with it file a claim on the website, they will have you take it to a mechanic, and he will confirm the problem. Once it is approved, they will fix it for free within the 90 days. They do sell extended warranties, gap coverage, etc. I am not an expert, but I find these types of warranties rarely pay for themselves and I never get them, but your results may differ.
I’ve purchased two cars from Carvana ; one bening a 2016 Ford Taurus Titanium and a 2017 Audi Q3 S Line Prestige and I would say that these two purchases were the most straightforward and easiest car purchases I’ve ever made. Purchase price in both instances was lower than the KBB retail valve. If I’m in the market for used car versus new I’ll buy from Carvana again.
You get about an Hour to look it over and Test Drive it upon Arrival.. If you don't like it back it goes! If you are unsure .. you have 7 Days from Delivery to Return or Exchange..
I've seen an awful lot of Grand Cherokees with 300K miles on them with original engines, transmissions, and still looking like new. My family has had great luck with the 8 jeeps we have owned over the years.
I have had my Grand Cherokee for 16 years, 258,000 miles on it. The two major things I've had to do is rebuild a transmission and change out the computer which both of those together was less than $3,000. I love my Jeep
Carvana uses "limited" Silver Rock warranty only mentions interior imperfections are not covered so exterior is fair game if you have a dealer like this one that knows how to validate the work under the warranty
After I buy a car through Carvana, I can take it to any dealer, have them do a full inspection, and fix everything needed--100% covered under Carvana's warranty!? What is the paperwork process like? Thank you for making this video!
I'm about to buy a car thru carvana, so once I get the car, take it to a dealership and have them do a full inspection.....How does carvana cover it? Like does the dealership automatically charges carvana or like do I have to tell them when they said "how would you like to pay"? Please reply back. Thanks for the help
Carvana did the same or me and fixed the 1,400 in repairs on my used Lexus ES 350 with no deductible under their 100 day warranty. Excellent customer service by Carvana .
When buying any 'extended warranty', always read the fine, fine print in the agreement. Sometimes just doing the required maintenance will avoid things breaking down. But doing that DIY instead of taking the vehicle to an "approved" shop on their list will void the warranty. Often the maintenance costs over time at an "approved" shop will cost several times the price of the 'extended' warranty. Buyer beware. [Wink.] JMO.
Replaced tires under warranty? Tires are a wear item, and if they were replaced you'd think there would be some pro-rating. I don't need a $5000 scan tool to tell me, does not compute.
Have to tip my hat to Toyota look at how the fuel economy jumped on the latest Camry I drove one and got 49.6 in 8th gear 70mph cruise. On Ohio’s and West Virginia’s and Kentucky’s hills.
I bought a 2015 Toyota Highlander from Carvana. Took it to a Toyota dealership and they said that the typical timing chain cover was leaking and it would take 9 days to complete (they were backlogged with cars) and $2300 to fix. I called Carvana the next day and told them to take the car back and they set up an appointment for their tow truck to take it away without question. This was the 3rd time I purchased from them and the first time I didn't end up buying the vehicle. They really do stand by their warranty and if you take it to your own shop they only charge $50 deductible (vs free at a Pep Boys). Definitely worth $50 deductible to have Toyota replace parts after the warranty was over within that 100 days.
I need to do my research on this insurance I would love to do this.I’m currently looking for a car. And to get a Toyota or Honda know everything is going to work like a Scotty dream.

Bought a 2021 Toyota Highlander to replace my 2017 Honda CR-V. The CR-V was awesome in every way! Stupid good MPG! Super safe! Ergonomic to a fault. I needed more towing capacity. The Highlander has been super impressive so far, with the exception of MPG. I knew I would have to give up MPG for more towing capacity. I think the highlander exterior styling is awful. But the interior is super amazing. The MPG has started to come up more as I slowly break it in. My bestie made a great point about exterior styling. The front and back always look better than the side with people.

It used to be the Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep dealers were separate dealerships, but after the 2009 bankruptcy, they merged the brands into one dealership. So, Chrysler left the Nissan dealer and Jeep dealer across the street from Honda dealer all merged together at the Dodge dealer to become the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram dealer. That building was originally the Saturn dealer
Scott is hilarious, but from what I understand, Carvana has 100 days warranty for anything and they will send you to shops who can fix scratches, dents, chip front windows before you buy a car from them, most of their inventory still have dealer warranty for engine and trans coverage!🤫🤔
Carvana gave me a 2 year 100k mile warranty for a car I just bought. I paid extra, but I plan on using my warranty for any little issues that it covers.
Wait what did this have to do with purchasing a car from carvana, this seems more like an advertisement for the device he was using the check the car stats
Getting my 23 Kia Niro today. 9.1k miles. How did your checkup go? I am banking on a "new" used car will be safer choice for my lower knowledge and confidence level dealing with business men in dealerships.
I’m surprised to 100 day warranty would cover many of those repairs, especially things like brakes, and maybe even ball joints as most warranties exclude those things as “normal wear & tear,” so is the Carvanna 100 warranty more inclusive them regular warranties? If so, I could see that being a game changer, as until seeing you discussing this, I’d have never considered buying a used vehicle sight unseen (although I’ve only just started the video, but wanted to ask this question before I forgot.)
Well, they are supposed to check all that and it be serviceable before they deliver. Your wear and tear didn't send worn pads or bald tires. I don't think it covers road damage like a nail or hitting curb.
I've bought 2 vehicles from carvana, I check the carfax. Look for 1 owner cars that have a good maintenance record, last one went to the dealership every 5k miles for oil changes and all recommended maintenance. Car was near mint condition only a tiny paint chip on hood.
Problem is in 4 season states on the east coast we can never keep a vehicle that long as they rust out from the salt…the winter months are hard on the engines also. I am looking at the Toyota Highlander, but not sure whether to get the hybrid one or just stay with the gas one. Right now I have a 2012 Ford Raptor with 63,000 miles, I bought brand new, and it still drives well no mechanical issues, the computer that is the brains was dying and Ford fixed it for nothing. My only issue is getting into it now…still love my truck tho

I've had a similar experience with two cars I purchased from CarMax. Issues with both cars were completely covered by the CarMax warranty and repaired at dealerships. If I didn't have a new Y reserved I'd get another car from CarMax.
i got my car from Carvana. i only put $800 worth of work into it and no down payment. ended up being cheaper than the dealer and it was delivered to my house
Yeah, I’m not even a car guy, and don’t work on our vehicles at all, but for some reason I watched a video of his where he was troubleshooting some issue or another, and for some reason, which I’m unable to figure out, I was hooked. That was a couple weeks ago and i must have watched well over 100 of his video since then and have enjoyed them all. In part it’s his blatant honesty but there’s just something else about him and his videos which keep me coming back for more, and of course it only helps that videos like this help everyone who will ever buy a car, even if they aren’t into the mechanics of it, although I even watch the ones where he’s troubleshooting and repairing issues.
I was surprised but Carvana is a great American company with Chic Fil A service. People forget they are a used car dealer and expect perfection. For a used car dealer they are fantastic
