I wasn’t feeling it from the thumbnail but I absolutely love it for your kitchen! I see how it makes everything pop! I was thinking about painting mine white but now that I saw this, I think I’m going to get black. Nice job and thanks for sharing!

@@PeggyTurner-h7q the backsplash is actually shiplap wood that I had leftover from my fireplace. I made it out of pine plywood and did an aged stain on it. Some folks frown on a wood backsplash for cleaning reasons, but I love it and have no problem keeping it clean.

Yes I have had absolutely no problems with heat. It looks as good today as when I painted it over 2 years ago.

what is the make/model of the range hood? I'm looking for something simple like this on the internet but can't find simple one. I have an old fashoied kitchen, so need something that will blend in.
