My local gunshop had a sign that read “THE ONLY REASON YOU SHOULD PULL YOUR FIREARM OUT #1 your robbing us #2 your shooting the robber #3 you just want to get shot
@@Elvikiny no. 4th rule is you are responsible AND liable for whatever happens to a bullet you shot up until the kinetic velocity of that bullet is 0. That means if you are aiming at a target but it bounces and hits a man, you are still fully liable for that accident
@@enriquesuarez7113 what if I'm in a shooting range, and because the headsets I can't hear very much, and some maniac runs towards the targets and gets shot. Still my fault?
@@Elvikiny If the person purposefully ran in front of your fire with the intention of committing suicide and he did it fast enough on purpose as to allow u no time to react, then you can argue it was like a man jumping in front of a train and it was simply suicide. But the absurdity of that scenario is gonna make it awfully hard for u to present that in court. For your own safety assume that the answer to that question is yes. I am sorry, but yes. You wanna be real careful in shooting ranges that a suicidal idiot or adrenaline junkie that wants to risk their life in the way u described doesn't ruin your life.
@@Duinurmom247 Yes, although the more historically accurate way of saying it would be that the Jewish authorities in Roman Judea charged him with blasphemy and wanted him executed. This is when they bring Jesus in front of the Roman council and beat him mercilessly. The Jewish authorities deemed his punishment not enough and asked for Jesus to be crucified. So it really wasn't angry Romans, just angry jews.
1) If you bring a gun in, present it holstered and off your person. 1a) Before you even think about bringing the gun in....ASK if you can bring the gun in. 2) Always assume gun is loaded. 3) ALWAYS assume the gun is loaded. 4) Even if you're 200% sure and you've removed the mag and checked the chamber, ALWAYS ASSUME THE GUN IS LOADED.
The rule should really be always handle a gun as if it's loaded, I.E. obey all the other rules of firearms safety any time you handle a gun. If we REALLY treated the gun as loaded all the time we wouldn't be able to shoot matches or clean the dang things.
No matter what? What if I am being threatened by someone with a gun and I try to defend myself with a gun I know is unloaded? Maybe pull the trigger a few times because I gotta treat it like it's loaded right?
Just about every business these days has been telling their employees to take the abuse and not react. It's perpetuating customers becoming more bold and feeling entitled.@@davidhall5250
If you can’t check the firearm yourself, the gun is always loaded… Had a friend who accidentally shot his girlfriend & had to rush her to the hospital because the guy never followed this rule. 🤷
@@HghDavejust watched a short where a service member had a negligent discharge into a clearing barrel inches from another soldier. Very interesting how many people don’t know the state of their weapon at all times.
Why he didn't walk in and say no no it's good it's empty he pulled his gun out flag the person which was wrong but other than that you're EDC should be fucking loaded
As a current pawn/gun shop worker, I can attest that this happens too much and it’s utterly insane how many people don’t have common sense with stuff like this.
Never do that anywhere. not just gun store. Never point at anyone unless you intend to shoot. And always handle the gun like it is loaded even if its not. Always check the chamber.
This is what happens when Republicans in red states pass laws where it’s legal to carry a firearm without a class, without a license, without any knowledge whatsoever to protect the rest of the public at large. They argue their constitutional rights gives them the right to have a gun, but don’t my rights to live and not get shot because of their rights to have a gun with zero knowledge about the firearm? We have the right to travel, but we still need a drivers license & insurance. Unfortunately, this is where we’re going to have to go because of the rise in unintelligent gun owners. (that goes for my idiot neighbor that shoots guns in Southern California in the summer next to my property in the mountains 🔥)
Exactly! I figured this is common knowledge, but too many people lack it. I even teach my little nephews not to aim their Nerf guns at a target until they're ready to shoot. Gotta ingrain that knowledge ASAP lol.
At a gun show guy checking weapons ask me for mine...he says give it to me ...I say I have to unload it,he says no,I'm a firearms instructor...I say don't you teach me to never hand over a loaded gun ...he says "yeah,but'...I unloaded gun as safely as I could...he was speechless
shoutout to the clerk cuz even tho this is acting (unless thats a prop gun for the video) he allowed for a loaded firearm to be drawn out and pointed at him for the sake of learning
@@jking0.o121 There's no need for me to keep one in the chamber, I can rack one by time my firearm is pointed. And I don't pray that I have one racked, I pray that I won't have to use it.
In Jamaica, b4 u can enter a gunstore, there is a little private room by the entrance, with a security guard who ensures you clear all weapons b4 you go inside the actual store
Also the way he took the gun out so quickly and pointed it toward the salesman, they probably practiced that before the video started, it was all well done though.
That’s the norm now. It’s called “forced content”. RU-vid creators are running out of legitimate material so they have to start making shit up to prove their points. Next we’ll demonstrate how not to unintentionally destroy something down range.
Totally staged. Why do people still post these stupid videos. Use your imagination and create something original like the guy actually wants a water pistol which is clearly loaded when pulls it out of his jacket or something like that.
@@lamusicamees424why you so mad??😂😂😂 these are skits of real things that happen in gun stores… what is the problem with making a funny video plus spreading the word that this is NOT what you do in a gun store. Also these dudes are at work, wouldn’t you like to mess around during work with ur buddies to pass the time? These dudes got it figured out and are most likely making great money from these “stupid videos” … you’re just a karen 🤦♂️😂
@@taylortisaac maybe in those situations where you are the only one with access and nobody else around, but its best practice to assume its loaded until you verify it is not.
@@paladro you misunderstood what I meant. He said a gun is loaded until you check it. Which I was sarcastically saying is not true. It doesn’t magically unload itself once you check it. You still have to do the unloading.
agreed. traded my gun in at a gun store. had it on me while I was shopping, told them I wanted to trade in and I'll think about it. went back to my car to actually think about it and while doing so I unloaded my gun and put it in the case and walked back in. imagine how stupid I would've looked just by pulling my fully loaded gun out of the holster to trade it in 🤣🤦♂️
Happens WAY too frequently, we even have signs on the door and behind the counter! We also have a "its not loaded" jar that is about 2/3 full of rounds that hit the floor when we check for clear.
Bro the gun garage in topeka has like 4 or 5 lmao. But they also have the only indoor shooting range in town. Also they have a surplus of ammo as they do what all gun stores should do amd they load their own ammo. Rare ammo well they have 10s of thousands of rounds of said bullet.
Apparently in America kids have guns as well. Many children sadly die every year from other kids with guns. In other countries where civilians font have guns there arent any kids killed by guns. I think America needs to be not so arrogant and look how other countries dont have deaths from guns like usa. Such a shame it could be a better pla e
you mean point AND shoot ? as in pull the trigger You can point a loaded gun with the safety off and your finger on the trigger all day at something and nothing will happen. Sniper doing recon in sketchy places do this all the time
@@Werk4CashI found the guy that Carrie’s a Glock 19 under his basketball shorts with a 30 round magazine and still can’t hit shit. Let me guess? Chicago?
You can tell what he’s been practicing on. Owning a gun 101. Introduction: Safety!!! Guy: this is boring. Let me skip to the “how to draw part.” I want to feel like a cowboy 🤠.
I literally saw a negligent discharge happen in my local gun store from an asshole that pulled out his 1911. Kicked the round out prior to dropping the mag. Obviously that means he chambered another round. Then dropped the mag and pulled the trigger. The round went through the glass case and ricocheted off the floor directly between the legs of the guy working the counter. Went through the wall into the store next door. So fortunate that no one got hurt or killed. NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOUR GUN. KEEP IT HOLSTERED OR STAY HOME.
Local shop here theres one guy who will give your gun back to you in pieces if you tell him its its unloaded and its not. Especially after being muzzle swept like in this situation.
@@jjr929Tf? Nah. If it's your edc carry that shit loaded, one in the chamber ALWAYS. The issue wasn't that he had his gun loaded, it's that he whipped it out with no warning, flagged the store owner, and was just generally ignorant. 'In fact, I have my edc on me if you would like to see it. I will let you know it is loaded, if that makes you uncomfortable I will clear it in front of you." No issues. Clear, concise, and keeps every body safe and informed
Even if it was staged u still don’t point ur gun at something u don’t want to shoot, and u always treat it at if it’s loaded even if it’s not. However this is America and we don’t always follow the rules
@@evanferguson1105Brilliantly stated, sir! They clearly used dummy rounds ^^^^^^. And if a demonstration like this saves a life or a lot of grief then it’s 100% worth it. The world can have a little bit of grey in it from time to time.
Brings back some early childhood memories.. First thing my dad pointed out and preached was to "Always know where the muzzle of your firearms pointing." Then it was, " If you ever point a gun at a man, you had better be ready to use it." ""It's not a tool to threaten or scare someone.
