Well, the dealer is mostly correct, but not completely. Dealers have access to more advanced software that better measures current market price. It's better than Black Book or certainly KBB.
@@toddrunyon Well, of course, money, lol. What I'm asking is, what do I have that is more valuable than the other guy who's also interested in that vehicle...who also has money? Because that salesman (and every salesman) is going to tell me, "Sir, we've got customers coming in everyday. If you're not interested, we've gotten four customers already interested in this vehicle this week alone." It's the similar answer I've gotten in the past when being interested in a car. So, again, when it comes to negotiation, other than money, what is there to negotiate? Negotiate what?
@@joebeta1837 This will come across as callous but you sound like a salesman's dream. Unless it is a highly collectable vehicle, there are PLENTY of other options. You are the one there at the time looking to purchase. The supposed four others that are interested either never existed or will probably not come back. The dealers need to sell the vehicles as quickly as possible. You, most likely, don't have to purchase a vehicle at that moment.
Hey Zach, why don’t you suggest to people that they should figure out if they’re being stupid with their money as well? $24,000 for a six-year-old truck with 85,000 miles on it and there are literally thousands if not tens of thousands of these for saleat the same time?
I'm a bit disappointed in this advice. Accepting 24k as "reasonable", when that's their asking price? Why not tell us to start negotiating up from the trade-in value, not down from their asking price?

@@toddrunyon well tell me which is better financially, a car for 5k-10k you buy in cash. Or a car you buy for 25k you finance at 0%. The difference being 15-20k, how much does that extra 15-20k go in terms of investing over a long timeframe early or as a downpayment on a house. Very far I’ll tell ya. Assets that go up vs ones that go down. That’s what I’m getting at. For the average middle class person, car payments are HORRIBLE in terms of building wealth. Once you’re balling out and have over a million dollar networth sure go for that 25k+ car in cash but not until then.

That 2018 F150 burned oil from day one, because rings with loser tolerances produce less friction and less friction means better mpg. I rather have tighter rings and worse mpg.
And you wouldn’t get it for the 19979 so what’s your point it’s a 6 going on 7 year old truck approaching 90,000 miles it’s really a 15k truck but your all drunk on your greed and smug on how smart you think you are
