We're very fortunate to have Dartmoor on the doorstep and it's one of our favourite local rides - simply stunning on a good day! Having seen you attempt to use your 'Extreme' stove before I was quite worried when it appeared again.....there are health and safety implications with such devices and the fact that there's a bomb disposal unit at Okehampton Camp shouldn't encourage a false sense of security. It seems that you did both survive the day and therefore I can look forward to future videos from you. Phew! Cheers.

Brilliant video. I came through Widecombe in the Moor for the first time a few months ago on an organised ride. That's an amazing road from Two Bridges to Bovey Tracey (or the other way around) right through Hayton Vale... it's something else. As for 'camp food'; look for those packs of microwave rice, Tylda, Uncle Ben's (now just called Ben's), or supermarket own brands, loads of different flavours. They can be heated in a pot with just a little water. I then chuck in some 'protein', tinned tuna, veggie tuna, chopped up smoked sausage, anything that does not need to be chilled, heat the whole thing through and bingo, simple dinner for a couple of quid.

Sounds like you did the Dartmoor loop, fantastic route that is. Next time you go you should go on up to princetown and see the prison and museum. We will have to try the rice trick, we are getting inventive with that tiny stove!

@@ontheroadadventure I was riding with a local. We started and finished in Launceston, rode past Princetown over to Bovey to the Jolly Roger for lunch and then back. I have been over Dartmoor a few times in the last couple of years and feel like I haven't even scratched the surface yet. I only use a small single burner stove when camping, but I do have a little two pot cooking set.

went out in dartmoor today and went through mortenhampstead, some good fast empty roads about ! passed my test 18 months ago and cant believe i havent ventured in to dartmoor before.... always gone upto north devon or somerset. Nice video by the way. New subscriber.... sure ive seen you down at bridge????

Hi James, I’ve lived in Devon my whole life and been riding for as long as I’ve been old enough to have a license and I still find places on Dartmoor I’ve not seen before! It’s a great place to explore! You’ll enjoy our channel if your local then, hopefully we will inspire many more rides for you. Enjoyed this very much, we took a trip which we called our visit to Devon OR Cornwall as we had no idea where we were 😂 we never buy food as you say its cost a lot if you ride every opportunity. We take a packed and a flask, stop wherever, whenever. Keep the vids coming 😉

Its taken us a while to realise how much money we waste in pubs and cafes etc... and now we are actually enjoying the process of pulling up somewhere nice and enjoying our packed lunch and now we have a portable espresso maker too! @@ontheroadadventure hiya, we are in Wales, I've seen some of vids, Devils Staircase Elan Valley etc, we regularly ride these and many more although based in Cardiff Mid & North Wales are our playgrounds. We travel all over like yourselves with no plan, we camp just stopping somewhere and pitching up. I'm only 4.11 I ride a honda Rebel, it's great fir mountain climbs ken rides a harley fat boy ( please don't hold it against him 😂😂)

@@susanhawkins1105 wow you are perfectly placed in the uk, wales on your doorstep and already half way up the country for heading to Scotland, the lakes, and all sorts! Now you know we have to make Harley jokes…. But only because we maybe slightly jealous 😂 I owned the Harley Nightster for a short time…. It did of course fall apart all around me though, but I sure felt cool holding on to those apes going along the seafront!

@@ontheroadadventure I think he found it a little to easy to be honest he did like it and the speed. He's always had cruisers. built triumph chops back in the 70s. I guess its in his blood. He likes the harley, likes riding them, working on them, he's taken the bloody thing off road on more than one occasion 😂 It makes him smile makes me nervous
